I was so excited to receive my original Purple mattress. I spent weeks reading reviews and researching mattresses. The cost was affordable and really reasonable for such a quality product. When the mattress arrived my partner immediately fell in love. Each friend that tried it our loved it too. Unfortunately the mattress was way too uncomfortable for me. I kept waking up sore all over. I'm a side sleeper and I'm about 115lbs. Purple and I just weren't a match made in dreamland. We decided to return the mattress. The process was easy!! Every Customer representative that I interacted with was helpful and friendly. In the end I got to donate my mattress to a wonderful cause and was issued a full refund. Even though this product didn't work for me, I would still recommend it to others.

The purple mattress is magic! I have never been in a bed so soft/hard (the perfect combination). I have never left a review for something in my whole entire life BUT..... I felt the need to leave a comment. Purple mattress made this whole process so easy, I ordered it a week before Christmas and they still got it to me in a timely manner. I think they must be the devil because this is witch craft! Thank you so much for making my gift so great, you guys are AMAZING!

To say I was skeptical would be an understatement. We have tried two other direct to consumer mattresses in the last 18 months. Both very well regarded, and they were clearly high quality, but neither was comfortable. I had expected both to be fantastic, but in both cases I ended the month long "adjustment period" in tears. In more pain that my 12 year old average mattress was giving me. So I was disappointed and honestly scared to try anything again. Purple claims it is the first real innovation in the industry in 20 years. I considered and thought that just might be true. So after about a month of daily back and forth with myself, I ordered. Finally...finally, my husband and I sleep. I don't feel like I can say all the good things I think and still sound like a grown up. So I'm just going to admit that literally every night when we get into bed, I am downright giddy about it. So yep- I recommend it. A couple more notes because I relied so heavily on reviews myself... zero smell and it's ready to go the moment it unrolls. We ordered two TwinXL mattresses because we have always wanted a king (neither of us should be considered little people), and we wanted to also have adjustable bases. This could be part of my giddiness- it is really just so fun. If you can, either get the adjustable base with Purple, or even somewhere else- it is so incredibly worth it. We got the mattress protector from Purple, but I went with a Beech Jersey sheet- and for me that is so much softer and more decadent than bamboo. And it is crazy stretchy, so don't feel like it will only work with the bamboo sheets. Also, the day after I finally ordered I see an email that they came out with new Purple mattress line. Naturally. But I am so so happy I ordered the original. The price point was just more possible for us, and I honestly don't see any need for an improvement. I rarely submit reviews, but I'm also rarely this over the top happy with something. We love our Purple and we feel lucky to have found them.

I've had my purple 2 weeks and I really enjoy sleeping on it. I c wake up at 1:45 am to go to work. I'm usually awake before my alarm goes off. Since I got my purple I have a hard time getting up because it's so comfortable. So glad I finally got it. I wish I would have waited a couple weeks to order because now their giving a free seat cushion with their order. I would recommend getting one.

Spent days on review sites and Youtube watching reviews trying to decide on Casper, Nectar, Puffy, or Purple. I have used memory foam for decades and decided to give Purple a try due to the unique technology behind it. I am so glad I did, and my wife and I will never be going back. It has solved all our problems overnight. We have been sleeping on it for about two weeks and we are no longer hot at night, have back issues, and are sleeping more completely through the night. The model we have is the original Purple Mattress King size, not the hybrid. For our average size and weight, the thickness and size are perfect. The top layer of material used is very responsive like an inner spring mattress but without the discomfort. The only drawback with this material is the mattress does transfer motion ever so slightly more than a standard memory foam. This however is not a deal breaker and I have not noticed it after the few nights of sleeping on it. The firmness is slightly more on the side of firm to medium firm. Sitting on it you sink right in, laying on your side you can feel this firmness in more detail. I thought I would hate it as I prefer a very soft mattress, but after just a few nights I am sold forever. With this additional support came the relief in my lower back pain and the longer sleep times have helped with feeling more refreshed during the day. I use a sleep monitor and tracked the difference. I am getting 15 more minutes of REM sleep and 45 more min of deep! These numbers do not seem like much but in the long term they are huge in helping your body recover. Delivery was good and arrived on time. For proper delivery, especially a King, this should have been more on the white glove side. If white glove delivery was an option, I would have paid for it. The older FedEx delivery man who delivered this by himself, was very overwhelmed. Why would they accept such a large awkward package for delivery by one person? Had I not coincidentally been home at the same time to help, the task would not have been completed to my door only to the garage or more likely the street. This in turn would have left it in the rain until our return later in the day. Our driveway is very steep making freight delivery impossible without a forklift or team effort. Some may not have as much of an issue with this but worth noting. Overall, I would highly recommend giving this a try. It is a fantastic product that really shines when we wake up feeling refreshed and without any more back pain!

I am 48 years old with R. Arthritis, fibromyalgia, and spinal stenosis. I had been sleeping on a memory foam mattress for the last 4-5 years on my adjustable base bed and had been having issues with my pressure points killing me every day. Since receiving this purple mattress my pressure points do not hurt anymore while laying in bed. Some days I am completely bed bound and I don't dread it due to this amazing mattress. I thought it felt weird at first but I have been sleeping well on it. I will definitely be in the market to order another one for my husband for his semi truck.

Highly recommended. Buying this bed was one of the best decisions we've ever made and we couldn't be more satisfied. Waking up rested and refreshed is life changing, and now we experience that feeling every morning. And the Purple bed sheets even provide an extra dimension of comfort.

I am a retired RN and have lifted and turned so may people over the years resulting in chronic low back problems.My back pain has greatly been reduced since sleeping on this mattress. It gives great support without the pressure on my shoulders. I highly recommend Purple!

The first few nights were a little rough because we were adjusting to the mattress. Then when we got better pillows (not the purple ones) we were able to get better sleep. Now that we've been using the purple mattress for the past 3 weeks, we're getting much better sleep and I'm not waking up every 2 to 3 hours because of a sore hip or back. My husband is sleeping much better too, and not complaining of a sore back.

So we switched from a temperpedic hybrid that I loved, my wife hated. I bought her the purple bed for her birthday. The first night we slept or I should say she slept,she was in love. I honestly never had a worse night sleep, My back was killing me and I was sweating terribly from it. I decided to give it a full week since she was getting such better sleep. Since then I love the mattress and we are both getting great deep sleep. Hopefully the trend will continue...
