Like they say, give it time to let your body adjust to it. My lower back was actually hurting a few days, but it was after years of sleeping on such a bad mattress that my body needed to adjust to the Purple mattress. After the first initial "uncomfortable" days, I've never slept better and it actually felt like sleeping on a firm cloud. Bed also sleeps cool and I also have the Purple sheets which prevent sheets from becoming undone/moving around. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase and have the Purple pillow on the way to have the complete package of a great nights sleep for years to come.

I really like everything logistically about the mattress - the online shopping and buying process was easy, and most importantly, a huge plus that it delivers as compactly as it does. The grid design is interesting and I was curious to try it out, but it personally doesn't suit me great. Turns out I'm a person that definitely needs a softer mattress for my back to not be tight and these are much more on the firm side (although I do appreciate the isolated movement concept). It wouldn't deter me from recommending the product which I do feel is quality, but I would have to disclose the personal comfortability factor.

The experience was great and shipped to me in less than a week. Although the mattress looks and even more importantly feels great, was it really worth it in the end. Its a great mattress but is the price of a mattress supposed to be this much. I mean, I get great of a product it is but when is it going to live up to the price. I like the purple mattress and it feels great but would I do it again, maybe not. If it is such a good bed, I would of liked to buy one for my whole house but that just isn't reasonable. Tell me why if it is such a good bed that the quantity of the sell can't be sufficient amount for them. Tell me.

I expected the purple bed to be more comfortable than it was, and to immediately solve all of my back pain with my previous mattress; after about a week or two, it became super comfortable to sleep on. I'm guessing it was because I wasn't used to how the bed supported my spine (in a healthy position) and had to go through an adjustment period.

It'a a pretty hefty price for this mattress and I have yet to fully sleep a month with it but so far so good. I'm so longer sweaty on my back on hot days and no longer need to have my fan running all night to keep me cool. My body sinks in really well but not as much as my friend. I'm more heavier than him so this mattress is more for mid to heavy ranged people for maximum comfort out of this mattress. Overall I like it but the price made me hesitate a bit. I'll end up keeping it and sleeping on this comfortable fellow.

Had been having back aches every morning. First night my hips hurt But I woke with no back ache! Next night no hip pain! Mattress is firm enough to provide good support and soft enough to be very comfortable. I am very pleased. Just remains to be seen if it holds up. Every indication suggests that it will.

What makes the difference for somebody? Great products and god awful customer service. Good products and exceptional customer service. It made me smile looking at these other reviews to know I'm not the only one who had the worst possible experience with Purples customer service. Love their bed, will never buy anything from them again solely based on principle. Casper will do just fine. The only thing they did right was appropriatelye refer me to a sheet company called Sheex that have amazing sheets but ALSO exceptional customer service. Sincerely, A loyal customer and advocate you just lost.

We absolutely love our Purple Mattress. I was having a lot of back pain. To the point where I was unable to sleep in the same bed as my husband. I was seeing a chiropractor and they suggested I get a new bed. My brother has a purple mattress. We decided to try it out and we're so glad we did. I sleep through the night now. No longer tossing and turning. My back doesn't hurt in the mornings when I wake. We are so glad we bought a Purple Mattress

Each day on our Purple mattress has meant less aches and pain for my wife and me. My wife had back pain on our old mattress, and it's all but gone after just two weeks on our Purple! I'm a side sleeper, and had chest pain (apparently from "scrunching" my shoulders) most all the time, but after just two days on the Purple it was gone and has not come back. My wife also finds the Purple sleeps cooler than our old mattress. The Purple mattress seems to cradle both our bodies and provides equal support from head to toe! Two weeks isn't a long time, but at this point we both give a "thumbs-up" to our Purple mattress.

Recently purchased the purple mattress, purple platform, and purple mattress protector. Love the platform and Mattress. Dislike the Mattress protector. It's got a very vinyl plastic feel to it, and feels very cheap. After putting it on the mattress, it introduced noise, and it covered up the wonderful stitched cover softness with a plastic sliding feel. (Using sheetx as main sheets above it). I was really surprised at the quality of it, considering how nice the platform and mattress were. It was as if a totally different company designed it. I contacted purple for a refund, as was told there are NO refunds on the mattress protector. (I'd have even accepted credit or exchange. Nothing). Hopefully this review helps someone else avoid making the same mistake I did. Go for the mattress and platform, skip the protector. (Get a Malouf instead [which purple previously recommended] which you can return if you don't like. ) Never went from a happy customer to a disappointed one so quickly!
