I have tried every firmness of mattress out there and also tried the memory foam tpye. The purple mattress is like sleeping on a giant marshmellow. I fall asleep, stay asleep, and wake up refreshed and ready to go. I also purchased the purple pillow. The combination works like a dream. (No pun intended)

I have had my share of beds from different brands but so far this bed has been my absolute favorite!!! I really is hard to get out of bed because it is comfortable! I would recommend a bed from purple to anyone who is in need of a new bed. It is not to hard or to soft it fits your body really well.

I was very excited to try out the Purple Mattress. I at arrived quickly and was fairly easy to un-box. It is quite heavy so it helps to have a friend with you. It had a slight smell but it wasn't bad and dissipated within 24 hours. It has an interesting feel with the purple grid on top but you get used to it quickly. Unfortunately I am a bigger guy at 6ft 1in and 260lbs. I felt like I bottomed out. While laying on my back there was a lot of pressure on my lower back and butt/tail bone. There were mornings that I was waking up with lower back pain but luckily it would go away through out the morning. I think that the mattress just wasn't quite thick enough to properly handle my weight and size at only 9.5 inches thick. I did try their recommendation to try out another bed or your old bed after 30 days and I woke with no back pain. That was when I decided the Purple wasn't right for me. The cover is very soft and the mattress kept me cool and I never got hot. I am giving it three stars instead of two because I know my size is not their fault. Fortunately I am able to donate the mattress to a friend. It is a big investment so I am very glad to have had the 100 Night trail period to try out the mattress. They have been helpful and answered all of my questions very quickly.

The site and the video promoting the mattress were both great. The mattress itself however was too firm and not good for me, a soft mattress sleeper. I did however think that the process of donating the mattress for the full donation was wonderful and very helpful for the community. Way to go Purple for being community focused!

I just recently had major abdominal surgery and when I got home from the hospital I realized our old mattress wasn't going to work anymore. After reading hundreds of reviews and watching a ton of videos for every brand that's out there, we decided to go with Purple. I am very, very pleased with our choice, from the first night and every night since i have had incredible sleep. I am a tosser/turner side/back sleeper and my wife has not been woken up by my "thrashing'" since we've been using the Purple. Thanks for an amazing product!!

So happy we found Purple. Now every night we get a good night sleep. We are extremely happy. We have an old farmhouse built in 1920 with wood floors. We could not get a queen box spring up our stairway. Purple sold us on delivery alone. Our foundation is a Platform bed and our Purple Mattress was a perfect match. All evenly proportioned on the wood floors. Purple is worth every penny. Thank you!

I'll try to be brief. 300 lbs, old back injury, 53 yr old male, side and back sleeper. Traditional mattress and box springs would break down slowly, making it hard to tell that there was a change. I thought my back injury was to blame when I woke up feeling worse than when I went to bed. "You need to spend more and buy a "better" bed!" I was told. I can only spend so much on a failing system. I worked it down to where I felt "ok" with about 5 hrs of sleep. When I'd sleep in on the weekends I felt worse. Decided to buy the way-expensive but oh-so-worth-it Purple original. First the frame arrived and we removed our old frame and box springs and used our old mattress on it. With the luxurious under-bed storage it's worth just buying the frame because my old mattress felt so much better on it and now I had massive storage space. Honestly, if you're on a budget and your profile is similar to mine the frame is great all by itself with a standard mattress. Such an improvement. Then the sheets arrived but I wanted to wait to use them on the Purple. Finally the incredibly heavy giant purple package arrived. I can carry our old mattress with one hand by myself. You'll need 2 people to move the Purple. Heavenly. I almost cried after the first night sleep because I felt great when I woke up and I haven't felt that way for a long time. Now I look forward to sleep AND WAKE UP FEELING LIKE I GOT A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP. I had to all-cap that because it's a huge difference. Yes, you might be able to spend enough money to find a mattress that holds up to 300lb sleepers but based on my experience it will be at least as much as the Purple and it's still a gamble. "Oh you should've got brand X" they'd say after it broke down. It was fine for me right out of the box but my wife wanted to put a topper that she loves on it, didn't change it much and she's happy. We're both happy. Oh yeah, the sheets are insane. Smoothest thing I've ever felt. I never thought I'd love a bed, but I do. I couldn't be happier with it. (and the under-bed storage space is insane!)

I had to go on a work trip about a week after I got this mattress. I usually like hotel mattresses, something about them is so comfy. But, this time I felt like I kept waking up all sweaty and the mattress was "floppy" if that makes any sense. I even started feeling achy again. I just wanted to come home to my new mattress as soon as possible. No regrets with this purchase.

I had tweaked my back and it was giving me issues throughout the day. I bought this Purple bead on a whim hoping it would help and after about 3 days sleeping on the bed, I haven't felt that pain in my bed. I really don't understand, but with how it is designed, it truly remains firm, yet soft. I know I've been getting good sleep because I've been waking up from deep sleeps rather than light sleeps I'd been getting. I've been telling friends about this bed. I'm a believer now. Thanks!

I'm giving. The purple mattress a 4/5 simply due to the first few days where my body had not adjusted and I would wake up with minor back and hip pains. But now that I have been sleeping on the mattress for a few weeks my body has grown to love it. I can come home from a 12+ hour shift with every muscle in my back and legs steaming at me, then wake up with no pain and feeling fully refreshed.
