It took me several weeks to get adjusted to this mattress. I had to use my foam pad for about a week and then took it off and now I am sleeping better. I am guessing if you are a heavier person than I am the mattress would be more comfortable as the mattress would conform to your body better. I don't know if I would buy a second mattress like this. I'm a bit disappointed with it.

The customer service and the price are a great plus for this purchase, but the mattress itself is the most comfortable one we have slept on, and we have tried Tempur-pedic and Hybrid type mattresses. I would like to see Pillows and sheets directly from Purple to complement this mattress, but other than that, it's a no brainier.

The feel of this mattress is hard to describe. It is the softest, firm mattress I have ever felt. (I know what I said...) I have yet to find an uncomfortable position. I weigh about 145 Lbs. and I don't sink into this mattress like I expected to, but instead, I kind of float on top of it. Again, it is hard to describe...I can say I have been sleeping on this mattress every night for almost a month and I am starting to feel more refreshed in the AM. So, in conclusion: So far So good....

I was worried about a few things. 1 buying a bed online, 2 some reviewers mentioned a smell 3 not being able to test the bed out before buying it. Needless to say, I just pulled the trigger and was astounded to say the least. It has been a magical purchase. Would do again if I had need to.

EASY TO OPEN. THE SHEETS FROM PURPLE ARE THE BEST EVER SHEETS I HAVE EVER HAD. LOVE THE STRETCH MATTRESS SHEET. WISH THEY HAD BEEN INVENTED YEARS GO :) THE MATTRESS IS BETTER THAN ANY OF THE ONES I HAVE HAD BEFORE, AND I HAVE HAD REALLY GOOD ONES IN THE PAST BUT BY FAR THIS IS THE ONE FOR ME. This was definitely not a love at first sleep mattress for my boyfriend and I. We were used to a less firm mattress but wanted to try purple because we had heard that it was great with back support. I remember waking up after the first night and telling my boyfriend I hated it, a month later I love it. I'm sleeping through the night and my back is feeling better and better. Thanks purple! Sorry for doubting you in the beginning.

Instead of just foam, Purple actually had technology that seemed different. The little demo the salesman showed us told the whole story. Pressure points sunk into the grid, but pressure from a larger surface let it stay firmer. In the Purple showroom, we weren't grilled with questions or rushed into a choice. We were given lots of time to try out each bed, and weigh our budget against the available options. We ended up spending less than we anticipated, and the bed is absolutely amazing. It's noticeably cooler than our previous mattress, and although I'm normally a back sleeper, I find myself side sleeping comfortably sometimes on the Purple just because I can. I did the installation myself, including attaching an existing headboard to the Purple Foundation. This required drilling 4 holes in the existing headboard, but bolted on to the Foundation's brackets snugly. This is probably a family show, so I won't go into details about grown-up activities other than to say the new mattress was very good for that sort of thing. Wish I had a 6th star to give.

I've had lower back issues for a few years due to a sports injury and its long-term repercussions. After moving and not bringing my old mattress, I decided to try something a little more expensive. I've had my Purple mattress for about four months now, and my sleep quality and comfort in bed has definitely increased. The mattress is supportive and comfortable, and my lower back doesn't feel any pressure when I lie down, unlike other mattresses I've had.

My wife and I have never experienced such a comfortable out of the box (so to speak) sleeping experience in our 30 years of marriage. With my chronic arthritis and hips in need of replacement I was fidgeting all night...until Purple. Thank you for a wonderful product!!

Worest company I have dealt with in 10 years. They use the cheapest shipping company. So just trying to get the mattress was a headache. Then the mattress doesn't even compare with tempur-pedic when it comes to pressure points. It was cooler than 12 year old tempur-pedic. Purple mattress not worth 100 day trial. Plus they pull crap like not taking things back, like the base, which is needed to try out mattress. Not a good company to do business with! Very unsatisfied!!! I would give 0 stars but it makes me put 1.
