We have had our Purple for about a month and a half. At first, I wasn't sure I loved it as a side sleeper, but it was amazing when flat on my back. After adjusting to it for a couple of weeks, it's great in all positions. I have stayed at hotels a couple of times and always can't wait to get home for my own bed- it's amazing how different this mattress is from anything else!

I have had 7 back surgeries about to have number 8 at the end of this year. This mattress has allowed me to sleep more than3 hours a night. I used to sleep in about 30 minute intervals, the Purple mattress has doubled the time frame for those intervals. Might not sound that great to a normal person, but it is a very big deal for me. And the pillows are awesome.

We purchased an original Purple mattress 4 years ago, it has been a great mattress. All of a sudden it was not so great, but Purple customer service handled my warranty claim super fast and now we're on the Purple Plus and it's more amazing then the original.

The mattress is pretty good. I have a bad back, I've had three surgeries, The last one they were going to fuse four vertebrae ended up only doing two as the other two pretty much fused their selves. The purple mattress has been the best for me so far. I give this review only three stars because I ordered sheets and it has been 10 weeks and I still haven't gotten them but my credit card has been charged. they never get ahold of me to update me about my order. so be wear if you want the sheets it's gonna take a long time! this should never take this long to get my order! And they need to let you know what is happening, after all they already have your money!

My 3 month old will not sleep anywhere but on me. Not in his crib, pack n play or swing. Today I put him on our purple so the I could get dressed and he is knocked out. I wish they made purple for toddler beds/ cribs because I would pay good money for that.

I really wanted to like the purple mattress, but it is just way too firm for me. I am 115 pounds and a side-sleeper. I don't seem to weigh enough to make it actually conform to my body, so I got pressure points on my shoulders and hips, plus upper back pain. I ended up sleeping on our old mattress while waiting for the return to go through. My husband really liked it though. He usually wakes up sweaty but the purple breathes extremely well and eliminated that problem completely. This is probably a great mattress for lots of people, but it shouldn't be advertised as giving the perfect amount of support for everyone.

First off, Purple is a great company and that's why they are getting two stars. When I did not enjoy my Purple after 2 weeks, they sent a 1800GOTJUNK truck right away to take it away and refunded me my money in a week. Good on them! However, the mattress was just way too firm. I kept waking up with dead arm throughout the night. I really wanted to like this mattress, but couldn't. If you like a firm mattress, then this one is for you!

It's a mattress. It hasn't changed my life much. It's nice and all but it's not the life changing experience that it's hyped up to be. Get with me in 5 years or so when I know how it's going to hold up and I can tell you more. I like that I'll never have springs poking me in the ribs but that's all I can really say.

Had the bed for about a month now 1st couple weeks was having back and neck pains I thought my body needed time to adjust to it but still having the same pains up until today and delivery took longer than expected had really high hopes about the hype but sadly it was a let down

The mattress obviously has great reviews and a big "fan base". We've tried multiple other 'mail-order-mattresses' and the purple definitely stood out to us. We bought one, and after a couple of weeks, we were 'broken in' to it. We slept great the first month and thought we'd keep it. I REALLY like the surface layer and the cool give it provides, though I wish there were another option or two for softer base layers. As time has gone on, we have awoken achier and achier. We haven't adjusted any other aspect of our night as far as sleep time, positions, diet, etc. Just a few weeks ago we went elsewhere and slept on a cheap mattress (as per Purple's recommendation for comparison) which was very uncomfortable in comparison. We came home and slept great the first night back on the purple, but then just got uncomfortable again and don't seem to be sleeping as well. I sleep best on my back, but part way through the night I inevitably have to turn on my side because I get too achy. Ultimately, I love the hypo-elastomeric polymer purple grid on the surface, but I think some softer options on the underlayers of foam would have made it a keeper for us. We slept on it for nearly the full 100 days to give it the benefit of the doubt, ultimately returning it. I think you'd have a hit if you decided to manufacture and sell a much lower cost "purple topper" that could be thrown on any bed! (Send me one to test when you do!)
