The mattress was quite easy to unroll, though I accidentally cut through the fabric when opening the plastic packaging. There was a strong smell upon opening, but it dissipated after two days of airing out. The sleeping experience is very nice; I have not experienced uncomfortable heat or sweat even on these past few hot nights, and I personally feel like the mattress supports me better than something firmer (though that may just be observational bias). The Purple Pillow is quite short, making it difficult for side sleeping, but I am managing by putting it on top of another pillow to give it extra height.

We've had our purple mattress for a couple years and the mattress is fine. I like higher thread count sheets and they do not stay on this mattress. So, I had to purchase the Purple sheets. They are like a t-shirt material and kinda stretchy. So all night long I'm pulling the fitted sheet out to try to smooth it out and they are thin, so you can feel the grid underneath. We tried the entire sheet set, but the top sheet just bunches up and is impossible to keep up with all night. I buy the sheets I like to use for the top sheets and pillow cases. Then I have to buy the expensive (expensive because the quality isn't there and I only use the fitted sheet) Purple sheet so the fitted sheet will stay on the mattress. We have to replace the fitted sheet pretty often, because it doesn't wear well. Final annoying straw was this week when I received another set of Purple sheets. I ordered white and it didn't say anywhere on the site that they were discontinued. So, I get whatever color they wanted to send me and then I find out the white was discontinued. Returning things is always a pain, so I'm just keeping them. Bottom line, I wouldn't order the mattress again. I don't know if my sleep is better or not, because I'm constantly just messing with the sheets. For the price you pay for the mattress, you would expect not to have constant frustration.

Wow what a difference, my boyfriend and I haven't slept better! He's a back sleeper and I'm a side sleeper, we both love it. I'm purchasing another pillow as well, we got a free one with the purchase of the mattress. It contours to your head and neck perfectly. Now my boyfriend won't sleep without it, which means I need another one!

I was skeptical at first when my daughter told me about the purple mattress and that she and her husband just bought and saying they just love it. Than they showed me the Goldie Locks video and I laughed so hard thinking it was just a spoof. Little did I know. The rest of the story is history. I did buy one and everything they said is true. When shopping for a new mattress I thought I was going to have to spend at least $5,000. I held my breath and took a chance and ordered a Purple mattress. I could not be more pleased. It is comfortable and I don't have the aches and pains I had with my old mattress. I highly recommend Purple!

I have the original Purple mattress. I purchased the Purple because of the claims that it would help me sleep cooler. I occasionally have night sweats and thought this would help with that. It is comfortable but it most certainly does not sleep cooler. 4 out 7 nights a week I wake up drenched. Disappointed!

We had been watching the purple videos pop up on facebook and then saw the great reviews the purple mattress got on sleepopolis...and decided to give it a try. I've never, ever wanted to tell other people about my mattress before, and I feel like I can't STOP telling people about our purple. Quite simply, we had no idea how well we could sleep, how comfortable and well-rested we would feel, until this mattress arrived. I love our purple mattress!

My overall experience was,and still is, absolutely wonderful. Having three separate fractures in my lower back,pain was constant. Then I was blessed with the best gift(toppedonly by my granddaughter) of a Purple Mattress. It's wonderful, I sleep better than I have in years and the pain in my back is barely noticeable. I am still on the fence of if I should keep it or not. Initially I thought that it would be no problem at all to get the kind of rest I need. However I have yet to experience a full nights rest for about a month. My fiancé is having th same problems as well. We are still undecided. Too firm? Not too soft for sure. I want to love it. Just not there yet.

I couldn't be happier with my Purple Mattress. I had no idea how crappy my old bed was until I started sleeping on this one. I rest well and wake up ready to take on the day, instead of sore and still tired like I used to be. I would definitely recommend this mattress to just about anyone.
