I actually bought this mattress thinking my husband will love it and I will hate it! Im glad I was WRONG!! I love it!! My husband took a week to love it. I noticed immediately that I felt better when I woke up. My watch tells me that my REM and deep sleep are in the 1 to 1.5 hour range each as opposed to 12-20 minute range before we got the Purple! We were just gone for a weekend away and my husband and I both couldn't wait to get home to our bed!!

I found this mattress and decided "why not, nothing can be worse than the mattress we are sleeping on now". Boy, am I glad I took the chance on Purple. The first night I slept better than I had in years! Everyone who has come over and checked out our bed LOVES IT! The ONLY problem is that we had to buy a mattress pad, because of the warrante and we're not able to find one that had any give in it, so it does effect the bed's performance a bit. We already used jersey sheets but the protector is what we are having a problem with. IF you don't want to worry about the 10 year warranty by maybe getting an accidental stain on the bed, then I highly recommend trying a Purple.

We bought this as twin xl for the wife to go next to my twin xl tuft and needle. She wanted softer then the original tuft we bought, so this is our version of a sleep number. She did need to put a pillow top on so she could sink into the bed a little more, but after that she loves it.

CONS...Because we are sleeping so soundly we are no longer waking up in the middle of the night and putting onTalk Radio to get back to sleep. Because of this we are possibly missing some interesting programming. Even though we have no proof we suspect this mattress has been impregnated with Ambien. We notice we are prone to oversleeping with the Purple! PROS... Seriously, we are sleeping and waking up without the hip or shoulder pain that had been a problem on our old spring mattress. Overall we love it.

This mattress has literally helped me tremendously... it's cool to the touch but I still feel like I get hot. It may be my sheets (who knows). You don't sink in but you do have relief where your pressure points are. My back feels so much better and I will say it has ALOT to do with this mattress. I highly recommend this to anyone who just wants a quality mattress. HONESTLY SPEAKING though- you could find something just as comfortable for cheaper.

I am 53 years old, 128 pounds, and have had chronic back pain from past injuries for fifteen years, and recent hip pain (I assume from arthritis) for over a year that worsens at bedtime. Although my mattress was only two years old, the price being so reasonable, I thought I'd try a Purple Original. I am so glad I did. The hip pain that kept me up four nights out of seven, has not bothered me once in over a week of sleeping on it. My insomnia bothers me less when I just think of how comfortable I am. I only hope it doesn't sag as other mattresses tend to do. Please Purple don't stop making the original. I will replace it every year if necessary to remain this pain free.

My wife and I got this mattress for our anniversary. We were so excited to get it. I think nearly every night since we started using it we have both randomly smiled and said "I love our new mattress." I sleep sooooo good now. Glad I went with the king size.

I honestly have never slept so well before I got this mattress. I've gone through a lot of mattresses in my life and I've even slept on the floor for for a few weeks because my back would hurt from other mattresses. At first I was hesitant about it but after about a month, I miss my mattress when I travel. Totally worth it

My wife and I bought our Purple mattress almost a year ago. Took a couple of weeks to settle into it, but it really is a great mattress. We didn't realize how often we woke up with aches and pains until we got used to the Purple bed. It's very supportive and sleeps very comfortably. We intentionally waited this long to write a review to make sure it's truly how we feel (it is). We love it and would highly recommend it to anyone!

We first received our purpleand were extatic. We unrolled it and plopped. After that first plop, of course we rolled around on it as you do as an adult. I immediately noticed a large bump in the middle that felt very unnatural. I thought, maybe it hasn't finished settling. Well after about a week, that Rocky Mountain ridge stole existed. I contacted purple customer service and explained our odd situation. Purple was exceptionally apologetic and extremely prompt in having a replacement shipped out to us not even a week later. This bed is heaven. The advertising is comical and witty. The customer service is beyond what I anticipated. Super pleased and would highly recommend. Plus the purple squishys they send you with the bed are beyond fun to play with. It's like your very our fidget squished. Bonus! Oh and side note... the platform base is slightly squeaky so I would highly recommend picking up and placing rubber washers on the screws that purple provides.
