We've been married for 20 years, and have tried everything else: traditional beds, spring beds with foam hand stuffed in every coil, memory foam, space/astronaut beds, sleep number systems, futons, mats on the floor, and more that I can't even remember. With everything else, either we both hated the bed (e.g., the sleep number bed), or one us loved and the other hated it (like the foam stuffed coils he loved and the memory foam I loved.) The entire time we've been married, the couch has been a backup bed for whenever one of us has a sleepless night because we just can't get comfortable. For the first time in 20 years, we both love to curl up and go to sleep. We don't wake each other up tossing and turning. And we both sleep incredibly well. Hoo-rah!

I gave it 3 stars because we love everything about the company and the fact that the mattress is made in the USA. We love the quality, the look, and the fact that the mattress didn't have to be aired out because of weird odors. With that said, we've been sleeping on it for over a month now and we don't love it. We have the right sheets (jersey knit/stretchy) and everything. It just causes both me and my husband pain. Maybe it's the fact that I'm a strictly stomach sleeper, but I wake up with a really stiff and painful back. I've even tried sleeping without a pillow the past week and that's not helping either. Sadly, we're probably going to return the mattress.

From day one, I woke up with no lower back pain. Unbelievable!! I was afraid there would be little to no support -- Boy was I wrong! It's neither hard as a rock or soft as a feather, just like it was made for me and my husband. When either of us get out of bed there is no movement felt from the other. I would 100% recommend PURPLE!!!!!

I found the bed to be comfortable when sleeping on my back. I do sleep on my side as well and noticed my shoulders would hurt or my arm would go numb. My guess is that the bed is too firm. It's still a really good bed and I'm hoping that with time I can just get used to sleeping on my side.

I'm a side sleeper and it's tough to find a good pillow for me. I've been considering purchasing a Purple mattress and I decided to try a pillow first. I ordered a Purple Harmony pillow and I'm beyond impressed. The texture and support feels a little weird but it is so supportive, like everywhere on the pillow. I woke up today to comfortable shoulders and neck! If the Purple mattress is anything like this Purple Harmony Pillow, I'm beyond excited to order one. Thanks Purple! ❤️

When I was younger (teens to early 20s), I never had problems sleeping on my side. That changed when I started lifting weights and building muscle. The more muscle mass I put on, the worse my side sleeping got until I gave it up all together in favor of stomach sleeping. This mattress is the first in years that I've been able to very comfortably sleep on my side. The first night, I kept waiting for the usual back and hip pain to set in. "Anytime now," I thought. I kept waiting. Eight hours later I woke up feeling amazing. Best night's sleep I've had in many years, and they just keep coming. To boot, I'm a very hot sleeper, and this bed was absolutely made for hot sleepers. It distributes and disperses heat like no other mattress I've used. Safe to say I'll be a Purple sleeper for many years to come.

It was easy to unpack and install. Mattress is very comfy. I love that it circulates air beneath you better than other mattresses I've tried so you don't get as sweaty. The company should work to reduce their waste though: they shop these weird mini mattresses about the size of your hand with it, and I wish I could return the huge plastic duffel style bag it ships in. These items are now cluttering our home as I haven't found a way to recycle or repurpose them yet to keep them out of the landfill.

I'm a veteran with disability for my back and for depression. My back and hip pain made it difficult to fall asleep, and that and my depression made it nearly impossible for me to stay asleep. Since I started sleeping on my Purple, I have fallen asleep and stayed asleep better than any time in my life, even before i had my problems. I read a couple of reviews complaining that the mattress was too cold. However, we were without our furnace for nearly a week this winter. The house's internal temperature, by the end of that time, was just below 40 degrees F. On the last night I was a little chilly in bed, but I warmed up by curling into a fetal position, and then slept like a baby. I LOVE this mattress! I just came back and bought a seat cushion too. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is with the sheets. I made the bed with the Purple sheets and spent most of the first night picking my pillow up off the floor at the head of the bed and the blankets off the floor to the side of the bed. After that I have used the Purple fitted sheets but have swapped out the top sheet and pillowcase. Thank you for the best sleep of my life!

This is my second Purple mattres so that should tell you something. I bought my 1st one about 6 years ago so it was time to replace it; naturally my only option was another Purple. They are super comfortable and keep me cool. In the past I had a memory foam mattress and it wasn't nearly as comfortable on my body as the Purple.

I was always in love with purple since the day I heard of them, I fell in love with my mattress as soon as I got it and even tried my own Raw Egg Test on my Purple Mattress and an older mattress and the Purple mattress proved to be as good as they claim!
