If you are on the fence about trying this mattress, FIRSTLY, get off that fence, that does not sound comfortable, and SECONDLY, just order it already! You won't regret it. I was suffering through HORRIBLE hip pain, and thought my previous mattress may be the culprit, so I decided to try out Purple. Boy am I pleased! Hip pain is gone, I wake up actually feeling my age now (22), and it is so SO comfy! I always tend to prefer a softer mattress, but given my hip pain problem, I felt I needed something with a little more support. Purple is the perfect middle ground! The grid is nice and squishy, and cradles the curves of my body perfectly, while the foam underneath gives the support I need. 10/10 would recommend!

Bought the whole package. 2 twin XL's, power base, mattress protector.. Bed showed up at a reasonable time. 7-10 days I think. Power base took over a month to show up, then the delivery guys whined about taking my existing bed to another room. Have emailed Purple twice about being unhappy with zero response. I do not like the bed at all. The twin (XL) is not XL. it's 6" shorter than the twin XL's I did have. It slides all over the power base. My back hurts more than my old memory foam bed I had for 10 years. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning the thing. Just the mattresses cause the power base is actually pretty cool. Then I'll have to wait however long to get reimbursed by Purple. If it's like the power base delivery time, it'll be 4-5 weeks after returning. The internet ads are phenomenal and I had high hopes for the bed. Spent a little over $4k all together to downgrade from a memory foam. Disappointed for sure. Be interesting now to see if Purple will step up to honor their own return policy and expedite it. Keep you posted.

This was a great investment - I had a good mattress that was only 3 years old and every morning when I got up my lower back hurt so bad it was hard to walk for the first few minutes. The very first morning when I got up from my purple mattress I had zero pain - I can't believe it, I am so happy!

I got the basic purple mattress and was a little worried it would not provide enough structure because it's so thin. I was also wary about buying online without getting to try it out in person first. I have never had such good sleep on my side. My shoulders never hurt after sleeping on my side on this mattress. I still need to keep my hips aligned with a pillow between my legs, but they would still sometimes hurt on a traditional mattress. None of that with the purple mattress. I would buy it again in a heartbeat, but I don't think I'll need to worry about a new mattress for years to come. Very glad I purchased.

I needed a new mattress and did a lot of research to finally choose this one. I don't generally have back issues or aches and pains but some mattresses definitely don't leave me feeling spry first thing in the morning. After sleeping on the purple for about three weeks I've noticed that my body feels really good when I wake up now. And I've even had an easier time getting out of bed (I'm a hit the snooze button several times kind of gal). I'm totally sold on the purple mattress and I would suggest it to anyone. I've definitely never had a better mattress than this one.

I am glad there was a pamphlet that said it can take some sleepers up to 30 days to get used to the mattress. The first week and a half i was miserable, though my husband was in love after the first night. I am now extremely happy with the mattress. Although i highly suggest buying the purple pillows at the same time, especially if going from a soft pillowtop mattress to the purple mattress. It took me an extra couple of weeks of trying to get my pillow height just right so i bought the purple pillow. Love them too!

Ordering was simple and came in a timely manner but product was VERY disappointing. I had used it only a couple of times on soft surfaces which seemed okay. Then I let my husband try it (weighs 210lbs) to convince him to get one also but, after sitting on it for about 40 minutes, the gel lost shape and is permanently depressed. There is no cushioning where he had most amount of weight. I have not used it since as it does not offer cushioning support any longer . I literally only got a couple uses out of your product on soft surfaces and am greatly disappointed it doesn't rebound into original consistency. It really felt like a waste of my money and I ended up having to buy another product. I tried your travel seat cushion to see if we would purchase the bed as my husband and I have real orthopedic issues, but clearly we won't be investing in any more Purple products nor will I recommend.

It's a little strange, knowing what the top layer of this mattress is made of. You can feel the "grids" through the sheets and mattress protector with your fingertips, but lying on it is completely different. There's no sagging or mushiness. It's very supportive. No problems sleeping through the night now, and it sleeps very cool.

We are in love with our purple. It breathes great, it's just the right amount of squishy, its response time when you move is immediate, I can roll over without waking up the wife, my back feels great when I wake up, I am always excited when bed time rolls around. the future of mattresses is here!

We're full-time RV'ers, and let me tell you, those extra-short el cheapo RV mattresses earn their well-deserved reputation for misery. We replaced the short king with the Purple premium queen hybrid without needing any modification to the RV platform. The extra inches in length weren't noticeable or impactful, but the narrower width of the queen afforded us appreciably more navigation room AROUND the bed. My husband and I have a 150-lb. weight difference, which typically created mattress breakdown on his side, causing me to roll into the center of the bed. Additionally, he is a back-only sleeper who never moves, and I am an incessant position-changer all night long. To find a mattress suitable for both our comfort levels, that holds its shape and doesn't bounce around with my tossing and turning, that doesn't collapse or become indented on one side or the center is frankly kind of miraculous. I waited for about a year to write this review because I didn't have faith that Purple would solve our mattress issues, but I've rarely been happier to be proved wrong. Kudos. I should add that we love the bamboo sheets that actually stay cool and dry on warm nights--another near miracle. An unexpected bonus is that the sheets are indisputably non-slip, and trust me when I say that I challenge that feature. I'm also quite pleased with the mattress cover; it keeps the mattress spotless while also being totally silent (no crinkle noises).
