First the good; while I typically am a back sleeper, I sometimes lay on one side or the other. With this mattress, on either side, my shoulder does NOT hurt. Shoulder pain when on my side was an issue on my Tuft and Needle mattress. Second the not so good; I think the mattress is too firm. Much too firm. But, when I compare it to my Tuft and Needle, it feels almost the same. I have only been sleeping on the original Purple for a week, so maybe I just need more time to get used to it. Third, the I don't know; I keep my bedroom cool, so I am not sure if I am sleeping cooler or not. Since I have had this for only a short time, I am not sure if I'm going to keep it or not. I think a softer mattress would be better, but like I said above, when I lay on the Purple and then the Tuft and Needle, they feel almost the same. I also have not been sleeping real well, but I can't attribute that only to the new mattress. It might be, IDK. Time will tell. My wife hasn't slept on this mattress at all, so there is no telling what she's going to think. Good thing we have a 100 night test period.

My husband bought us the purple bed after we did a ton of research online comparing all of the "bed in a box" options. The purple bed seemed to be the most popular and seemed like the best made. We were excited to get the bed and when we first laid on it it seemed promising. As time went on our back pains got worse and my neck pain was getting worse. We bought the stretchy sheets, mattress protector and still we had issues with the bed. When I lay on my back there would be a gap between my lower back and the bed so it wasn't cradling me like it should. I think if my husband and I weighed more the bed would have worked better for us but him being 160 lbs and me being 110lbs I don't think we had a chance with this bed. Great concept but they need to keep working on perfecting the bed more. I will say that the return process was extremely easy and purple took care of everything for us. A donation company picked the bed up, gave us a receipt and they hauled the bed off. We emailed the receipt to purple and we received an email back within an hour saying the refund had been processed. I think the purple bed works great for some but not for us, however this was a great experience as they kept their word with how to get your refund within your 100 days.

When we first got this mattress I loved it. It's been maybe 4 months and there is already like a dip on one side of our mattress making it super uncomfortable to sleep on. My partner and I are each around 140-150 ish so I had hopes this mattress would last longer than it did.

Best mattress hands down compared to other expensive conventional mattresses. Its not even close how much less sore, with pressures of my joints more evenly distributed, compared to any other fancy mattresses out there. Everyone should be getting a purple mattress.

I like flat pillows. We bought two in the store but had to have them delivered as there were none in stock there beyond samples. I am pleased with how cool the pillow stays. It is not as comfortable as I had hoped. I would like it even a little flatter, but it isn't bad. My big disappointment was how much plastic packaging they arrived in. The pillows and all the bedding are made of plastic. I can live with that because I assume that I will use them for many years. Each one, however, does not need to be shipped in a plastic bag inside of a large thick, purple vinyl container that I would have to go out of my way to figure out how to possibly reuse since it is an odd shape and size and made of a material that is unhealthy. Not only that, the way they are rolled, it takes much tugging and pulling and many hours to get them to lie flat and to have the cells regain their original shape. I recommend shipping them stacked and flat within one recyclable plastic bag. While vinyl may be recyclable, it will need to be dropped off at a special location. I don't want to have to spend my time taking care of unnecessary packaging. Also, what is the end-game for these pillows and mattresses? How will they be disposed of? I wonder about the mattresses. Nothing lasts forever and manufacturers need to think of the entire life cycle of their products. If you have an endgame, our salesperson was not able to articulate it to me when I asked.

I literally spent 3 months researching mattresses, but I kept coming back to purple. I am absolutely in love with my purchase, so comfortable, I sleep better and wake up without my typical aches and back pains! This truly hugs your body in all the right places!!!

I have been having major back pains when sleeping and read a lot of reviews about the purple bed. While my back pain has decreased, it's still there. I'm going to give the bed a bit longer to see what happens. I did have some hip joint pains a bit during the first week of sleeping on this new bed, but that has subsided and I've read that's normal while my body adjusts to the bed. So the verdict is still out, but I still have a good feeling about this purchase.

I love it a lot except that i am a stomach sleeper. I waited for the new purple mattress to come out for so long, i could wait any longer and purhcased the original purple. It is amazing for back and side sleepers, as true to purple's word. Although it would have been awesome for my stomach sleeping, i truly cant complain. I love the mattress, the company, and the customer service. Two thumbs up!

First and foremost, I want to say that this is not a sleight to the customer service team. They have been awesome. I got a replacement for my mattress. That's also super cool. The original mattress was the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on. The replacement, not so much. Genuinely feels flimsier, and I can feel the mattress base when I lay on my side. I loved my original mattress. I'm sad that I don't like this one. I like the customer service and warranty though! Thanks for that :)

We purchased an original Purple mattress in 2017. Great sleep for 2 years but noticed some abnormalities in 2020, contacted Purple and they sent a replacement under warranty and also paid to remove old mattress! Now we are back to great sleep!!! Thanks Purple!!!
