This mattress is great!!!! I had 2 mattresses in the span of 3 years and both left me aching with back pain. I lost time at work from that but since ordering the purple nothin but great sleep. The week I thought it was a little too firm but after that sleeping is great. I recommend anyone to try this mattress if your suffering from lower back pain. :)

The purple mattress is great. We have a tempurpedic mattress at home because of my husband's back problems. It was recommended by our chiropractor. However, when we moved into my father's house after he passed we needed another mattress and opted for the Purple. Great decision. We also have the pillows. For many reasons I haven't the time to get into they are excellent pillows. Excellent. The only change my husband and I would make is that they be a little higher. 2-3 inches maybe. As for the sheets, they appear to be high quality. We'll see as time goes on. They are made specifically for the mattress and I understand why. The problem I have found, though, is that they have a tendency to 'grab' a knee or other protruding body part that is repositioning itself during sleep. I imagine this might be less of a problem if one were sleeping alone but I'm not really sure what I'm basing that on apart from my pushing my husband away so I can have room to turn over. Overall, we are quite satisfied with our purchases.

I was skeptical, but first night took away all my back pain. Woke up with no back pain, first time in over a year. I love getting into bed every night. Definitely a harder feel than any other bed I've ever slept on, but it cradles you for sure. The quality of sleep gauged by my watch shows no improvement however, still hovering around the 90% efficiency mark. I was hoping for an improved score, but a bed can't make stress go away, now can it. Only reason I didn't give a five is I can't figure out a pillow. I know they say buy theirs but it's pricey with no discounts it feels kinda like they are holding you hostage.

I don't know how a mattress could be any better than the purple. At first me and my new wife thought it was a little too firm but after two weeks we were sure this was the right mattress buying decision. Two months later and we are still thrilled with the purple and wouldn't want anything else Do yourself a favor and buy it.

I am a licensed physical therapist and spend quite a large chunk of my practice educating my patients as to the need for quality rest at night. During my education, invariably, I mention alignment and use of what I call "props" for helping keep the spine aligned. I have used props for years now, and I can honestly say, that I tried the purple mattress without several props and have never looked back. While I would still recommend a body pillow between the legs to keep the pelvis properly positioned, the way the hips, head and shoulders sink into the purple mattress has been nothing short of phenomenal and my wife no longer has any back pain in the morning. It is definitely a costly investment, but when you consider that most people easily spend 1/3 of their lives in bed, it is a worthy one. Sleep better, people!

I was very excited about receiving my mattress pillows and sheet set... to make a long story short I love everything about my mattress only thing is that I wish I would have gotten the hybrid instead... getting a better night sleep... next is the foundation... thanks

This is by far the best sleep I have gotten in my entire life. My back and beck pain have virtually disappeared. I wake up more rested and rarely wake up during the night any more. The only negative thing I have to say is that this mattress has ruined my ability to sleep in any other bed, but its worth the sacrafice.

Both my husband and I have suffered from back pain for years. We have tried every type of bed out there and until The Purple Bed, we have not found anything that has helped us get a good nights rest. We bought the pillow also and cannot tell you how great we are both sleeping now. Thanks Purple!!!

Ever since my first purchase of a new vehicle in 04 I have not had the opportunity to make the "BIG" purchases. next came with my own couch and finally a new bed. After looking and doing research and watching many reviews I came across the strange mattress. After about 3 more months of searching, watching reviews and reading them I decided to pull the trigger on my next major ADULT purchase. I have been suggesting this to all of my friends and after 2 weeks I have to say I have had some very good nights sleep. almost too good to where I don't want to leave the bed. My suggestion to any who reads. Do your research, if you want a soft medium soft bed that is cooler than any other bed I have been on (I used to travel for a job so I have been on a lot with hotels etc). this is one I will recommend even though the price is pretty high compared to the other bed in a box brands.

I have had this mattress for approximately 30 days now. It is comfortable and it does take time to get use to it. I have lower back pain and can normally function with it but when I transitioned to the Purple mattress it crippled me and I could barely stand. This has been better now but definitely was a down fall in the first couple weeks. The Purple mattress has continued to be extremely hot for me to sleep on. I have had to lower the temperature in my house to counter this effect with the mattress since it makes me sweat while sleeping.
