At first our box frame was not supportive enough for the mattress and the whole thing was not comfortable but after we got a better box frame for the mattress to sit on it became the best mattress I ever slept on. I love how cool it stays during the night and how i cannot feel the dog jumping up or down from the bed.

We recently bought a purple mattress for my son's twin bed. This is after having our original purple mattress for a couple years now. We love it. We have all purple pillows and love the light weight mattress pads. The sheets are comfortable, but are super stretchy which is nice. We recently bought the harmony pillow and absolutely love this pillow the most out of all the other pillows. We have the original 10lb pillow which is nice and sleeps cool. The other pillows are a bit soft for me and feel like they break down after a year or so. Otherwise, I highly recommend purple!

we purchased 2 twins to make a split king along with sheets and mattress protectors. Everything arrived quickly. We already had the pillows. We have had the mattresses a little over a month. These beds are truly temperature neutral and very comfortable. Previously, we had a 4-year-old pillow-top queen. Hot and lots of motion transfer. I am a restless sleeper and he is a hot sleeper. This is the original Purple mattress, as we cannot get the new versions in Canada. This mattress is firm but soft- it's a bit hard to describe. I sleep both on my sides and back. The mattress protectors do have a bit of a plastic sound but i don't think you can get away from that if you want to keep the mattress clean (i have my coffee in bed in the morning along with my two boxers. Not always a serene experience). The sheets, which i got as a promotion with the purchase of a mattress, have a few issues. First, the good: they are very soft and silky and quite cool in the heat. The elastic on the fitted sheet is truly hard core. That bottom sheet stays on all night. Now, the not so good. They pill, even when washed alone and on the delicate cycle. As well, top sheet is really, really long and really, really narrow. So narrow that it tends to wrap around me. I think these mattresses need stretchy jersey sheets to realize the comfort of the mattress, but they need a bit of a re-work. This bed system is truly unique. If you are looking for a new bed, this is worth exploring. I thought i would miss the cushy pillow top. I am not a big person and do not have a lot of body fat. This bed supports my hips and my lower back without engulfing me in lots of top padding, which ends up being hot in the summer and fluffy padding is not really supportive. Overall, we are very pleased with our purchase and would (and have) recommend this mattress.

If I could give this mattress no stars, I would. I purchased the Queen sized Purple 3 mattress from Mattress Firm a few days ago. If I have to sleep on it for the full 21 nights before I get to return it, I will be crippled. I've had the worst 4 nights sleep I've ever had in my life and that includes sleeping in hotels, cruise ships, sleeping bags in a tent and other people's houses. I don't know where the support is that this bed purports to offer. The first night was uncomfortable, but not unbearable. Subsequent nights I woke up in the middle of the night crying in pain (and I have a fairly high tolerance for pain), my back was hurting so much. I had to take two Tylenol. In my entire 66 years on this planet, I've never had to take two analgesic tablets for anything, including major surgery. I can also feel every square of the grid, even under it's own covering, a mattress pad, a fitted sheet and a top sheet. Contrary to what the mattress sellers tell you, it does NOT take weeks for your body to adjust to a bed or a bed to adjust to your body. If that were true, no one would ever be able to spend a night anywhere but their own homes. It takes only one or two nights to determine if a bed is comfortable. I'll keep the mattress for the required amount of time, but I'll be sleeping on the couch for the next 17 nights.

I have aches in my knees, shoulders, neck and lower back. I toss and roll a lot at night chasing away aches. After my first night on the Purple mattress, the sheets looked like I hadn't moved all night. First time in three decades. Now I get that sleep every night. Wonderful.

I spent time researching and arrived at the decision to get a Purple and am very glad I did. About 1 month ago I slept on my new mattress and I look forward to climbing in every night! The Harmony pillow and the mattress feel like nothing I have ever slept on. It's super comfortable. I am sleeping much better now. The purple does not hold body heat, so far, but not summer yet here. The pillow is also very different from any pillow ever used, it does need flipping over for coolness but could be my pillowcase, (it's not a Purple pillowcase). My neck has issues, pillow 90% comfy if on my back and 95% comfy as a side sleeper. !00% love Purple!

I enjoy the customer service at Purple, the marketing is Genius but so far my wife and I have spent 20 plus nights with shoulder pain. We are both lighter weight people and side sleepers and this Mattress doesn't seem good for side sleepers. We ordered during the COVID-19 crisis, what I think we need is a purple 3 but we cant afford it. I suppose we will probably send it back and go with another company assuming they won't move on price.

Ordering process: It's very convenient to use their payment plan, especially if your credit allows for not additional interest. Having the bed sent to your home and the option of 90 day return is also great. My order however was sub par; So I initially made the order online, but there had seemed to be an issue in their computer system where I received no shipment date email. I called 1 week later to follow-up and they told me that the order was never placed as confirmed. Now I ordered the bed during a move and attempted to time the bed arriving when I did. However, the bed came almost 2 weeks later which required some air mattresses to step in. Bed: Great bed. Coming from hand me down spring beds for as long as I can remember, having a brand new bed was great! I fell in love with it after just 2 days but my girl friend took some time getting used to it. We were on the fence at about day 30 whether we should return it because she continued to have back pain. However, around day 40, she admitted that her pain was almost gone and she had experienced better sleep that past week. Better sleep in that week then the entire year before on a spring. So be prepared for a possible time period to get used to the texture and changing firmness.

I give Purple 5 stars! We've only had it one night so far. But when it arrived we put it on the floor for the time being because the frame won't arrive till Monday. We went ahead and made it & decided to lay on it to see how it felt. We were both instantly asleep . We woke up after a couple of hours feeling great. Then even after sleeping 9 hours last night I woke up feeling completely ready for the day.

After getting used to the smell and strange feeling, I fell in love. I had some of the best, most pain-free sleep of my life! Until I didn't... about ten days past the 100-day trial I noticed that that magical feeling went away. The lower back pain I constantly had that had gone away for a few months started to return. It's like they literally put the trial period at 100 days because they knew the mattress would start losing its spring that soon afterward. DON'T BUY IT!! WASTE OF MONEY!! Pay 1/4 the price and buy a Tuft and Needle mattress that works just as well and doesn't feel weird to sleep on!
