My roommate recommended I try it out after he got it and I got the full size and twin size for a bunk bed, and it was quite a unique mattress. Something we haven't seen before. I have back issues and so far it's worked well, and will probably stick to it in the future.

When I was a young man, I could sleep anywhere with no problems, on the floor, on a couch, in the bed of a truck, even on a concrete porch. Fast forward to when I hit 30. I started waking up with various back and neck pains the very day I turned 30, almost like an age related curse. Who knew being 30 could suddenly feel so old and painful? I've tried a few different beds but I never bought one that I considered expensive (anything over $1,000.00 is expensive to me) but my parents have tried every new fad that came out over the years including those number beds and not memorable foam and adjustable hospital type beds. They have never found one that helped them and would ask if I wanted their old one when they got the next new one. I'd try them with no better results than they had. Now that I'm in my 40's, my pain in the mornings was worse than ever. I'd always wake up with lower back pain and could hardly get out of bed sometimes but I would have to or I'd just hurt even worse the longer I stayed in bed. After getting out of bed and moving around for an hour or so, I would be ok, until the next morning at least. I don't even remember how I stumbled on an ad for Purple. I read several reviews and the vast majority were very positive, a good sign, but I'm a skeptic and have seen too many cases of false reviews so I kept looking and researching on it. I admit, I liked the egg test video, it wasn't too commercial and boring like a lot of ads, it seemed they were having fun and really believed in the product and expected it to sell it self if you tried it. I gave in and decided to give it a shot, it couldn't be any worse than what I had. I figured with the 100 night trial, I'd have no problems because frankly it wouldn't really take that long to see if it was all they claimed. I put the mattress on the bed the day it came in and went to bed at my normal time. I've never had any problems falling asleep, it was always getting good sleep that was the problem. I was surprised when I woke the next morning actually rested for a change. I had not awoken a single time in the night due to tossing and turning. To be fair, I did have a slight ache in my shoulder but none in my lower back, that's a first in about 4 years for me! The second morning I found myself not wanting to get out of bed, not because it hurt to move but because I was actually comfortable. I now have a love hate relationship with my Purple mattress. I love going to bed on it, but I hate to get out of it and go to work in the mornings. There's worse problems to have though, like waking up tired and in pain every morning. I've noticed that this bed actually supports me everywhere. It has enough give to let my booty sink in and have the mattress actually reach and support my lower back. So instead of my back conforming to the mattress, it conforms to my back. I believe this is why I now sleep sooo much better. I go to sleep on my back and sleep that way until the sun comes up and I start rolling over to get away from the sunlight. I'm not 100% sure it would be as comfortable if I slept on my side but I have had no problems reading on my side and being uncomfortable so I think it would be ok for that too. One other thing (two actually) that I like is, even though it has enough give to allow for my rounder and heavier body parts to sink a little, which is what allows it to support the other parts, it doesn't just let you totally sink in like a typical foam mattress does and therefore it doesn't get hot like a foam mattress does. For reference, I'm 5'8'' tall and weigh 200lbs. I've been telling my family, friends and even the local UPS delivery driver about how much I love this mattress and how much better I feel since I purchased it, now I'm telling you too. IT'S GREAT! Thanks, Purple, you've made my nights and mornings enjoyable again!

Since switching to Purple, I'm sleeping more soundly and waking up without pain. We're a bed-sharing family so we have four people in our king-size bed. Before, I would wake up throughout the night with neck and sciatic pain from being contorted on the edge of the bed. I find that with Purple, the kids sleep more soundly and move less, giving me more space to sleep in comfort.

I've ordered 3 purple mattresses, and the mattress are excellent quality. My problem is with shipping and the order in which items arrive (if they ever show up). The mattress always arrives first, but the accessories (e.g., pillows, sheets, mattress covers, platforms) arrive days to weeks after the mattress arrives. In the case of a platform I ordered, it is back-ordered 8 weeks, but Purple keeps on selling them from their website. They told me this is out of their control. No - you can stop selling them! I had to contact them several times before they finally told me the length of time it would take to arrive, and the "customer support" specialist didn't seem to understand the problem they caused me. A mattress without a platform is worthless! I had to cancel my platform order today and find another option. Purple has no problem accepting my money, but needs to better synchronize shipping so items arrive together. Likewise, be honest with costumers when they can not fulfill an order within a reasonable amount of time. I have no confidence that future purchases will be any different; this was the last purchase I will make.

Listen, a lot of stuff in life is nonsense, Purple mattress is not one of them. I feel stable when I lay on it, almost like cradled, not sunken into the mattress like my memory foam one. I've found myself waking up in positions I'm not used to but I feel no impingements or undue pain, just a little stretch and I'm good to proceed with the morning. Overall, I must say mine and my wife's sleeping conditions have improved markedly. The only con is if you're not used to moving heavy furniture, you're gonna need a team lift depending on where you want this hefty boy at. Worth every drop of sweat moving it upstairs, I sleep like a doctor now.

This mattress is amazing! I've suffered from chronic insomnia for about 15 years. Add fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis to that, and I rarely slept. Since purchasing this mattress, I've been able to sleep all night most nights, totally uninterrupted. A couple of nights I've woken up once during the night, but immediately went back to sleep and slept until morning. My lower back no longer hurts when I get up in the morning. I can't say enough good things about this mattress! It has been life changing for me and my fiance as well.

So I'm only on week 3 or 4, so maybe I haven't adjusted to it yet. My hands still fall asleep.my back still hurts. Granted, it is very comfy. Maybe it's due to the fact that it's just a mattress on the floor, because the bed I purchased is back ordered until June. I still hope it gets better.

I hate getting bad reviews, and this is not a completely bad review but rather an honest one. It's been almost 60 days, and I feel like I've given it a fair trial and I do not feel that it was worth the amount of money spent. I do feel like it is a good mattress for other people, I followed the recommendations as to which one I should receive so I'm not sure why it's not working for me. I am willing to try one of their other mattresses so I will review as soon as I can!

My old mattress was just so uncomfortable that by 430 I was awake waiting for the alarm to go off and I was the first person to work every day. That system worked out so well for my company that they gave me the keys to the gang box and equipment trailer. Wellll after I got my purple mattress I slept so well for almost 2 weeks I didn't hear my alarm go off and slept like I've never slept before. I no longer have a key to the equipment but once I got caught up on my back sleep I can honestly say I've never been more productive. Awesome mattress.

I USED to sleep on a "high range air mattress" that every time the temperature changed, I had to reset my "number". Just got a "purple" .. best sleep I have had in years... I had to put it up myself.. the frame was a cinch.. but the king size mattress was so heavy I needed to borrow the neighbor's husband to get it up on the frame... and the part that says "unroll it with the grey side down" doesn't work because the mattress is rolled so that the grey ends up on the upside.... and my mattress started to expand before all the sticky plastic was off it... consequently I had to borrow the neighbor's husband again to help me flip it... NO easy task... Return it?? Over my dead body!!! You just need to roll it so that when it unrolls the grey side is already down. (already posted this to your facebook page if it looks familiar.. lol)
