While I can sleep anywhere, my boyfriend has had lower back pain as long as he can remember. Within a week he was waking up with no back pain, and I'm still sleeping like a baby! Soft, supportive, and so far we love it (bed was delivered about a month ago).

I heard great things about the Purple mattress. I was off to a rough start as it was packaged seemingly backwards (cutting took was wrapped up in the middle of the mattress and it unrolled grey side up instead of grey side down). When I first laid on it I was shocked at how firm it was and was unsure if I would be able to sleep on it! I am a side sleeper and it hurt my shoulder. I read a little into it and discovered that if you are under 150lbs this mattress will be firm. I am under 150lbs. The best part about this mattress is that it truly does keep you perfectly cool all night long! I no longer sweat or have to turn the AC down super low. It has taken me about a month to get used to it but I do like it. I wouldn't say it's the best mattress I have ever slept on but then again I haven't found another one much better.

I purchased the "Original" purple mattress to replace the old, standard, mattress I had been sleeping on for years. I had always been an early riser, and still enjoy waking up early, but this mattress makes that very difficult to achieve. I know that sounds cheesy or corny, but it is true. One unexpected side effect: my dreams have been much more vivid, which I attribute to deeper and more restful sleep. I also prefer very firm mattresses, and can have a good night's sleep on the floor. While I would consider this mattress to be more of a "mid" level of firmness, and is softer than I would have hoped, it provides all of the support I need for extremely restful sleep. Over all, I consider this mattresses one of the best adult purchases I have ever made.

Yes, the Purple mattress is extremely comfortable and provides great support where you need it (especially if you suffer from aches and pains) , however the ridiculously heavy weight you have to lift (and only at the corners!) when simply changing the sheets will send you to the doctor with back pain!! I'm sure there is another great mattress out there that is just as comfortable, but does not cause pain to change the sheets. I'm glad our master bedroom is on the main floor because I swear the weight of this thing (which is at least 350 lbs for the king) would cause it to fall through the floor! I'm glad, at least, that this mattress doesn't need to be flipped and rotated like most "normal" mattresses because you would need an ARMY of very strong people to do that!

Very comfortable and easy to set up. I sleep like the dead all night. If I had one complaint, it's that I have a harder time getting up in the morning because I'm so comfortable in this bed. If you're in the market for a new mattress, you won't go wrong with this one.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE our Purple mattress, it took a little getting used to.. but in defense to the mattress, when we first got it, we didn't have the sheets.. so we woke up in pain.. once we got the sheets, it was a game changer!! I'm very sad to report we ordered our sheets in March and they already have a hole in them & it's not even on the top where we could have possibly put a hole in them, it's near the edge that gets pulled over the side of the mattress.. they have been the BEST FEELING SHEETS I HAVE EVER USED.. literally AMAZING. But at the price I have to spend to get an extra set when I JUST bought these.. I'm pretty let down & just can't afford another set at the moment just to have them get another hole.. I wish there was some sort of warranty of sorts & understand why there isn't.. but it still sucks majorly. Taking one star away for the sheet issue, other than that.. five stars!

I have severe lower back issues and was scared to try a new bed, especially with not being able to feel/sit on it in person but ours had to be replaced. I spent weeks reading reviews and decided to try Purple. It was the best decision I've made. The bed is so comfortable and really supports my lower back. I'm usually a side sleeper but I tend to toss and turn a lot in my sleep, I've noticed that I haven't been doing it as much. I still deal with some pain but I don't wake up stiff anymore and it doesn't take me 5+ minutes just to get my self out of bed. My husband loves the bed as well and is completely happy with our purchase. Overall this was a great purchase and the customer service from Purple is amazing. We will definitely be lifelong customers after the experience we've had.

I'm disabled and spend a fair amount of time in my bed. I've searched my whole life for a comfortable mattress, and I had high hopes for memory foam, until I bought one. Too hot, too mushy. Yuk. I recently bought an adjustable bed frame with a purported "cooling technology" and edge support with a 101 day no risk trial. It wasn't any better than the regular memory foam mattresses, and fortunately I realized it in time to take them up on the guarantee. Then I found a Purple Store, and I was sold! I bought a wall hugging adjustable base from a store in Virginia. I bought the Purple mattress online after appreciating the helpful, low pressure sales person in the store, who suggested that I fill in my order and think about it, so it only took a click to order. That was a refreshing experience after the several other mattress stores I went to, where they were worse than a used car salesmen who badmouthed brands they didn't carry. I'd read that you know right away if Purple was for you, and in my case, that's exactly what happened. I wish they'd work a bit on their advertising, because Purple mattresses are so much better than memory foam, but the ads don't do it justice. I need edge support and can't tolerate pressure points, and the Purple mattress takes care of those issues better than anything I've tried, and it doesn't have the hot, mushy feel of memory foam. If you want a mushy mattress, the thicker Purple mattresses can accommodate your needs, but I need a firmer mattress and the least expensive one fits my needs perfectly. I suggest trying a Purple mattress in person, before buying a mattress online like I did, because memory foam is memory foam, and it's more expensive (or was in my case), and difficult to return. Once you try Purple, you'll probably love it like I do!

So far i've started having lower back pain from switching to the purple mattress. Sleeping on my side has improved but my lower back has started hurting which isn't good. I am willing to continue the test of the mattress to see if it improves but so far it hasn't.

Within the first few nights both my wife and I experienced a complete change in the quality of sleep and quality of life just from this wonderful mattress. I personally tell everyone who asks (and even some who don't) about how much of a difference something as seemingly simple as a different mattress can make.
