We needed to find a replacement mattress with no outgassing, no formaldehyde, no . . . . nothing since I'm allergic to practically everything. As it turns out, this mattress is simply AWESOME!! My back does not hurt after a nights sleep. Sigh. So great! O, and this is the second purple we have purchased.

I don't love it...but it's better than my old Memory foam. I weigh right at 250lbs and I still feel like around my lower back area that the bed sinks too deep in that area. I've seen other reviews about recommended sheets. I don't know if this would work as I think it's more of a support issue from the support base not being dense enough. Can you tell me the specific sheets that you recomend that won't break the bank...is the Jersey knit that I've seen recommended this: Brielle Cotton Jersey Knit?

This is an amazing mattress. I sleep deeper than I could have imagined. Unfortunately, I am a side/stomach sleeper, which means that this mattress is just a tiny bit firm for me, but I am finding out that when I gravitate over to my back I fall asleep quickly and sleep better than ever. So it seems I will be giving up my lifelong love of tummy sleep for the benefits of improved sleep overall. It's honestly worth the trade, just took me by surprise. Also, we bought everything in the Purple line. We love the mattress protector, we love (LOVE LOVE LOVE) the sheets.

My purple mattress is one of the best purchases I have ever made! My wife and I always get a great night sleep on our purple! We have different preferences on mattress , but our purple mattress fits both of what we prefer, witch is a great pleasant surprise!

The mattress itself is very hard, look for the thicker purple part, not sure if that will make it a bit softer or not! When I ordered it I did not see this ordering option they are more expensive but is worth it if it makes it a little softer! If your looking for hard then the first option is for you! To hard for my husband and myself! Was truly hoping it was the best ever mattress

After suffering from lower back pain for several years, we finally decided to try a new mattress. I was skeptical that it would help my back, but since I hadn't slept well in quite awhile, and I didn't care for our mattress, I figured I had nothing to lose. The first night on our Purple mattress was amazing. Despite having a horrible cold and cough, I was still more comfortable and able to sleep better on Purple than I had been able to do before. We have had our mattress for 3 weeks now. Each night brings restful sleep, and each morning I am able to get up without back pain. I'm never going back! Thank you Team Purple!

This mattress was super comfortable when my husband and I first purchased it. We both have back issues from serving in the military. I also have hip issues and we both have trouble sleeping at night. We have had the mattress for a little less than a year and we just replaced it. We have been waking up with even worse back pain then we have ever had because of this mattress. A friend of ours that turned us onto the mattress just got rid of theirs after a year due to terrible back pain and not sleeping at night. If you like super firm hard mattresses then this is for you, if not steer clear!

I have always dreaded bedtime. One of my biggest fears has always been oversleeping through my alarm. My nightly routine consisted of tossing and turning all night, then triple checking to make sure that I didn't forget to set my alarm, followed up by panicking about how little time there was to sleep. I always blamed my poor sleep on the inability to shut my brain off when I'd go to bed. I had tried every trick in the book. Limited electronics, blackout curtains, white noise machines, sleeping pills. You name it. Nothing helped. I honestly wasn't sure if the Purple mattress was going to help me have a more restful night, but I figured I had nothing to lose with the 100 night trial. After sleeping on our Purple mattress for the last month, my only regret is that I didn't find out about Purple sooner. From the first night, I have been sound asleep within minutes of laying down. I wake up completely rested. I no longer feel like I need to stretch to get the kinks out when I wake up. My husband's snoring has not woken me up once since we got the mattress. I'm not sure if it's because he has stopped snoring or because I am sleeping so hard I no longer hear him. Either way is fine with me. Also, I love that the mattress is temperature neutral. My husband used to sweat in his sleep and that is no longer an issue. The Purple mattress has more than exceeded our expectations. I would recommend it without hesitation.

I want to start off by saying, this mattress is amazing quality. You can see that a lot of research, dedication, craftsmanship, and love went into creating a mattress like this. You can see pride in every stiching that makes the word 'purple' on the side of the mattress. Sadly, this mattress is just not for me. I wanted to love it, honestly I did. But my lower back just couldnt take it. My girlfriend and I slept on this bed about 45 nights and the pain was increasingly getting worse. Well, we thought, maybe we need a couple of more nights for our body to adjust... so we did. We put in a refund request but decided to sleep on it for an additional week. Unfortunately, we did not see any improvements at all. We use a platform bed, so proper mattress support wasnt the issue. We used multiple pillow types; soft, hard, memory foam, gel, orthopedic, bamboo, etc. Body pillows, lifted legs up slightly, side sleeping, stomach, back... nothing seemed to help. The mattress unfortunately did not provide me any support on my lower back. I could feel my side stomach sink if I slept on my side. I could feel me sinking, sort of like a 'U' on my back, and of course, on my stomach was the worst. Again, I wanted to love this mattress and I could definitely see the quality no doubt about that... but its simply not for us.

I've had my mattress now for about 2 months and I'll have to say that it really doesn't get any better than this. I've had multiple top of the line mattresses and just switched from my latest tempurpedic which makes me sweat like a horse!! The purple mattress is just as comfortable but without the water show. I have shoulders that used to go numb sleeping on my side and a sensitive neck. This mattress does not exacerbate either one!! It's no cure either but I'll leave that up to my PT. And the price is just right!!! Very happy. Thank you.
