We had The Purple 3 for 3 weeks and really wanted to like it. It slept cool and I didn't wake up stiff, we just couldn't get used to the feel. To us it wasn't comfortable to lay on. We want a bed that hugs you when you get in and with a purple I felt like I was sleeping on top of the mattress and not in it. Have to say the return process through mattress firm has been great and with purple it was no risk.

It's only been a week, but the bed is really comfortable. We got the New Purple 2 mattress and it came with the bamboo stretchy sheets. The mattress is really supportive, but provides relief for pressure points. We tried the egg test ourselves and it passed. The sheets feel nice but it's annoying how stretchy they are. When you try to pull them up they slingshot back to where they were. We put our other sheets on them and didn't notice any impact on comfort level of the mattress. Customer service leaves much to be desired. We're tax exempt and jumped through their hoops and they wouldn't sign our tax exemption paperwork to provide to our local tax office, nor would they refund our taxes. They insisted our receipt and email should be enough even though I provided them the documentation from the tax office stating that that those things weren't sufficient. I really want to knock a couple more stars off because of the customer service experience, but the mattress is a good product. The mattress was delivered after nearly 3 weeks and they arrived at the beginning of the 4 hour window provided. However, no one called a half hour before to let us know to be home. I would give the mattress four stars and the customer service one star.

I bought this bed because my teenage son needed a new mattress. And this is the one he asked for... He sleeps better and it has improved his attitude. So it goes to show good sleep is a necessity. Thank you very much seeing him smile more often was worth every penny.

First off - unbeatable customer service!!! The people at the company will move mountains (if they could) to make sure that you are satisfied. From personal experience, they are yet to be beat! As for the mattress itself... it's like laying on gel. The mattress is extremely comfortable yet supportive for your body. I get to sleep fast and wake up extremely refreshed. Definitely worth the price and experience!!

first 30 days have been pretty good. comfortable to lie down and wake up still comfortable. I have been through a lot of beds and pretty happy with this one so far. I am still very stiff when I wake up and have to stretch some to start the day. I have lower back issues that I am trying to find the bed that will work. I stay in hotels a lot and know there are beds out there that work. Just hoping this is the one for home.

Purple has been showing up in my feed since the year it was released. My roommate bought the original Purple bed in college. I slept on it whenever he was home from school, and I've fantasized about having my own Purple for 6 years, and it didn't disappoint when I finally got my own purple bed. It's no joke. You can literally breath through this mattress face down

For the past 3 years my husband hasn't been able to sleep more than a couple of hours at a time in our bed. He has injuries from a motorcycle accident ... literally a deer ran into him one morning on his way to work! The deer died, thank goodness my husband did not. Anyway, since then his "best" sleep was in his recliner. Out of desperation and worry for his health, I started looking at different mattresses. I read some reviews on The Purple Mattress and it sounded hopeful. So I ordered one for our guest bedroom... just in case. My husband, Lord bless him, has been able to sleep a record 5 hours at a time on The Purple Mattress without pain jolting him awake! Now I just need to get him back into our bed... so I'll be purchasing another Purple Mattress next year, for sure! :)

We have been sleeping on a TempurPedic mattress for about 15 years and decided to try Purple. It's comfortable and pressure-relieving for my back problems, so we love it in that regard! Only drawback is that it's pretty bouncy. (I'm not sure if it's only bouncy compared to the TempurPedic that molds to your body or not.) For the first couple of nights, I was worried I'd roll right out of bed because the mattress sprang up as soon as I moved. Now that I'm used to it, we like it a lot.

Honestly, before I had back problems I probably never would have bought a mattress like this. I was a pillow-top kind of girl...but after gaining a lot of weight (I am 320 lbs at 5'10") my pillow-top was not cutting it anymore. My mattress was 10 years old..."Ten years old!" You exclaim. "No wonder your back is all jacked up!" Yes, my old mattress had the best years behind her, but I also tried my sister's new pillow-top mattress, my brother's dense memory foam mattress, my best friend's firm mattress, and multiple couches...they all aggravated my back :-(. After a late night browsing the Internet and getting sucked into the dark side of YouTube, I came across the ad for the Purple mattress (without even looking for a new mattress...you all know how that goes so don't judge, Judgey-McJudgerson). To make a long story longer, I bought a king size Purple the next day and it was delivered to my door 3 weeks later. Since I was tracking the package as soon as I ordered, I was super excited when it arrived to say the least. It was easy to lug to my second floor bedroom and unroll onto my pre-existing box springs. (My sister and I did unroll it upside down at first, but it was not hard at all to flip over. *Disclaimer* I am AMAZINGLY strong though). The first few hours on the purple was interesting. It was almost as if I could feel my back re-adjusting itself. After I fell asleep and woke 4ish hours later, I felt better than I had in a long time. It wasn't a cure all for my back problems as I hoped it would be, I almost envisioned I would awake with super energy and be 150 lbs lighter (my Mother always said I had a vivid imagination) but I did have one of the better slumber's I have had without being drunk. It has now been over a month and I love my Purple. I can't always sleep on my side like I used to on my pillow-top (I get weird upper back ache, but I do believe if I was lighter it wouldn't be a problem) but sleeping on my back is bliss and I fall asleep very quickly (unless, you know... the dark side of YouTube). On a side note, my sister does not have back issues and she does not like it very much. She thinks she can feel the honey-comb thingy too much. I am trying to get my brother to try it out because he has back issues as well, but I will have to update this review once he tries it. (Pluse he doesn't have the princess-and-the-pea-syndrome like my sister apparently does). FIVE STARS!

We've had a memory foam mattress for 20 years but decided to give Purple a try. We've experienced a noticeable difference in the quality of sleep since getting the Purple mattress. We're sleeping longer, dreaming more, and we're no longer stiff and sore when we wake up. The only con with this mattress is that it is heavy. We have a king size and it takes two people to move it around. We're honestly glad that we decided to give Purple a try.
