We had The Purple 3 for 3 weeks and really wanted to like it. It slept cool and I didn't wake up stiff, we just couldn't get used to the feel. To us it wasn't comfortable to lay on. We want a bed that hugs you when you get in and with a purple I felt like I was sleeping on top of the mattress and not in it. Have to say the return process through mattress firm has been great and with purple it was no risk.

I was really looking forward to the purple mattress because I had back pain. I got the purple pillows too. When it was finally delivered to me I was super excited to get a good nights rest. The first week I woke up with back pain and my neck was hurting. I thought maybe I just need to get used to the bed. A couple weeks went by and I decided to start using my other pillows and the neck pain went away. I still have back pain when I wake up and I sleep on my back so I don't think it's the way I'm sleeping. For the price I expected more. I think maybe the bed is too soft. Unfortunately my partner likes the bed so I'm in a bind. I'm not sure if I should return it.

Love the mattress even though the first couple nights my back started hurting. It could be that it just needed to adjust to the change or something else not related I couldn't really tell. I do like the fact I can sleep on my side my easier even though I'm a stomach sleeper. My sleep has been better but I am experiencing muscle pains I haven't before yet don't know if it's related or not at this time.

This is my second time buying a purple mattress and its the best mattress I have ever slept on, bar none. My experience with getting the product delivered was much worse the second time around. It took Purple a week before they even passed my mattress off to Fed EX, and then it took another week to get to me (It looks like it was sent from UT to CA before it was sent to MA). It wouldn't have bothered my so much but Purple kept giving me estimated delivery dates that Fed EX blew past. If I had known they shipping had gotten so much worse I would have just went to a store to buy it. Take more accountability for shipping delays or set better expectations from the start.

Thanks for reaching out. The bed is unfortunately to hard. I have a 3inch memory foam pad on top to be able to rest on my side. The technology is great however I would keep the bed with an additional purple layer. Otherwise its not going to work out. Please get back with me concerning this issue. Thank you Glenn R.

I'd had my old mattress for 15 years, and knew I needed an upgrade. I compared over a dozen different mattresses before going with Purple - the reason I selected Purple was because of its new and unique technology. I'm so glad I went with it - it's so supportive and comfortable. My partner had trouble adjusting (side sleeper), but after about a week, he is well-adjusted and sleeps like a rock! The only issue I had is that the queen-sized mattress is definitely more than 100 lbs, but on the site, it's advertised as being less than 100. It was *extremely* heavy, and difficult to move once it's out of the case, but its level of comfort and support makes up for it all.

We purchased the split King. As long as I sleep on my XL mattress I sleep wonderful. But I like to cuddle with my husband and in between our mattress is a 4 canal where the beds don't meet. We tried filling it with foam, but it affects my sleep. We are having to return the mattress to get a solid King. The only problem now is we can't have different controls.

I had to get a new bed as I left a household that had a sleep number bed.. I was afraid that I wouldn't get a good night's sleep or even worse get body aches from not having the sleep number.. I ordered my Purple mattress and haven't worried about body aches or lack of a good night sleep since using it. Once I get a bigger bed, you know it'll have a Purple mattress. :)

Purple has amazing customer service, hands down. They are respectful, responsive, and incredibly customer-friendly. They helped me out with replacing my mattress, which was under warranty. It started sagging and was extremely uncomfortable. They took care of everything--the new product shipped quickly, they took care of removing the old mattress--it was all incredibly easy and I didn't have to worry about a thing! My only complaint is that I still feel like I'm sleeping on a waffle, and even though this mattress is brand new and in perfect condition, I wake up with aches and pains every day. Perhaps it's just my body but it is just not a comfortable bed for me. I'm a side and stomach sleeper, and I find it difficult to the former and impossible to do the latter. I flop like a fish all night because I cannot get comfortable. I'm bummed because it was a big investment and I can't afford a new bed. There are nights where I end up sleeping on the (carpeted) floor because my body just hurts so much.

Overall, we are very happy with our purchase! When the suggestions say to sleep on it for about 30 days before deciding anything, they were very right! This mattress is very different from anything else we've ever tried. Pain is less in the morning, but we still use a memory foam topper. It kind of makes it feel like the next step up in Purple mattresses with the topper. Overall, we are satisfied with our mattress!
