We've had the Original Purple for about 3 weeks. I'm a back sleeper and my fiancé is a side & back sleeper. It feels great for back sleeping - it really contours. The side sleeping is a bit harder, where she feels more pressure points and sometimes still wakes up with a sore back. We also received a Purple Pillow, which I'm using. It's pretty flat, but feels comfortable if I use another thin bed pillow over the top of it.

I wanted to like this mattress, I really did. The construction and materials allowed for great airflow and kept me very cool for the bit I spent in the AZ summer. Unfortunately, my body adapted in reverse. I loved it at first but slowly my sleep kept getting worse and I developed a big pain in my lower back that I could take no longer. I would advise giving it a try though.

We needed new mattresses for our child (twin size) and us (king size) so we decided to splurge and try these. They are great! The mattress is comfy in all sleeping positions. I wish I had this when I was pregnant! All 3 of us are small and we don't really have sleep issues, but it was still nice getting fancy mattresses and throwing out the old hand-me-downs that were over 10 years old lol. They arrived quickly and rolled up. We all recommend Purple!

I would not recommend this mattress! I developed an ache in my knee and hip since sleeping on it. It has gotten the point that I feel like I need to go to the doctor. Then I started sleeping on my very old traditional mattress and the pain has lessened. I called to return it but am outside the 100 days -- the only solution was to look at the blog and buy their sheets. I am so disappointed and frustrated. I guess I will be throwing out the mattress soon. Hope a garbage picker does not pick it up.

So I purchased the new Purple 2 mattress and got the free sheets. I was on pins and needles for almost 2 weeks waiting on it to be delivered and finally it came. The delivery company called 30 min before they arrived (like they said they would) and I met them at my apartment. The 2 gentlemen were very friendly and nice. They unpacked it, set it up, and took all of the trash away. Great! Exactly what I expected. I was so excited it was finally here that I laid right down on it and it was like I was in heaven. I could feel the bed give slightly under my weight (I am a 260lb stomach sleeper) but I did not sink in. It was soft and so very supportive. I had to convince myself to get up and go back to work. That night when I got ready for bed, I put the sheets on. They are soooooo soft and had plenty of stretch in them. And for FREE!!!! A perfect match. I laid in the bed and again was cradled like a baby. Normally I toss and turn all night, but not this night. I rolled over onto my stomach and was quickly OUT! I slept all night and did not move a bit. It was great! Best sleep in FOREVER! And back pain.....? What back pain? I have 2 bulging disks in my lower back that normally KILL me after a long night sleep. Not today! Good as new! I have to say that this mattress and sheets and really this entire experience has been great! It is pretty expensive, but take my word for it, it is WORTH EVERY PENNY! And to top it off, I got on today to write this review and saw they are now also giving away a free seat cushion with a bed! Chatted with the WONDERFUL agent Whitney and got hooked up with that too!! I get to be excited all over again! Can't wait to go to bed tonight and every night for a long long time!

We have been sleeping much better already! There are some reviews that say this is not for side sleepers, but we notice a big difference from our other mattress that was only 6 years old. My hips and legs don't hurt anymore after sleeping on the Purple mattress. And this mattress was a one third as much as our old mattress.

After watching advertisement and knowing we were due for a new mattress, my wife and I agreed on buying a purple mattress. The only concern I had was that my wife really prefers a soft mattress where I prefer a firm mattress. However, when the bed finally arrived and we test drove it, we both agreed it was like laying on a firm yet very soft cloud!! We both have had great nights of sleep ever since!! Great bed Purple!!! Would definately buy it again!

We ordered the Purple mattress (king), platform base, mattress cover, pillows, and Royal Purple seat cushion. We have used them for about four months now and are very pleased with all items. I am 57 years old and I no longer awake with aches (neck, shoulder, hips), as with previous mattress. The Purple mattress gives where it should ... honestly, I don't think about the mattress ... I just go to sleep. I have tried other advertised pillows, but this Purple one is the best. We purchased an additional one after first starting with one. The Purple platform base doesn't squeak (is very stable) and allows us to store many items underneath it, with its approximately 15 inches of height underneath. I use the seat Royal Purple seat cushion at work and all-day sitting comfort is much improved. Overall, Purple is putting technology to work here ... it really works.

This is probably one of the best beds I have ever used. The only downside I have is that they don't make their own box spring. I bought a metal flattop box spring and it took an extra week or two for the bed to get back to super comfortable but now it is doing good.

So I'm first going to say - this is NOT a bad review because of a lack of adjustment period. We bought 2 of the Twin XL's Purple 3's for our dual side adjustable king bed. This is not cheap - but my husband is a chonic pain patient specifically for his back. We loved the Purple ads - and were lucky enough to only be about 30 min from their Alpine UT showroom - so we felt better about Purple because we could actually test it out. We'd bought normal "store beds" before - always ended up hating them - but I was really worried about getting a "bed in a box" that we couldn't test. Yes - you can ship it back with most companies - but that seems like a HUGE pain! So we actually got to test it first and it was a dream! We got them and it was no different at home! Hands down the BEST mattress we'd ever had - and even though it was more than I initially wanted to spend, I regretted NONE of it! My husband was even in significantly less pain! Then... We woke up from that dream. These were perfect for a little over a year. Then my husband kept saying he felt like the coils were sticking in his back. Sure enough - it seems like at least one of them has gone on it's side, and is nearly tucked under the grid. So for that side near the edge - it's like he's laying on a spring covered with a thin cloth. I unzipped the main cover - and tried to turn the coil - no love. I tried to pull back up the edge of the grid - but I realzied, I can't really tell what's going on under there - and won't until I cut the fabric - which we haven't done yet... I bought some mattress pads to at least cover that more for now - and keep searching for anyone that might have had this problem and found a fix to it without cutting into the mattress (under the main cover of course). So far, nobody. A felt like, "Well, it's still an awesome bed - maybe just this one had an issue..." Then mine started to do the same thing, near the edge of the foot of the bed. If I flip around - my arm is laying on a freaking spring. And now we're starting to feel other places. Again - I can't even tell you what's going on - just somewhere near the edges - it's like a spring (coil) turned to the side, and the "grid" no longer covers it - and we can't wedge them back up. My hubs contacted Purple to see what to do, and got a big ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I'm super disapointed - because it's not that we didn't like the bed - but for the kind of money these cost? Just over a year isn't worth it. So now I'm trying to decide if I just cut into the under-fabric until I can see it all and then try and sew it back up later - or... if we just get something different. I just expected more.
