It is very comfortable but 2 inches makes a difference in a chair. I already have my desk chair at lowest setting and the cushion makes me sit just high enough for it to be aggravating. The center of the cushion feels awesome but the edges begin to feel uncomfortable after a while. Too tall. Wish I would have gone with a smaller one. Wanted to swap, thought I had 100 days but that was not for cushions :(

I've been eyeing Purple mattresses for years but never got around to buying one. So when I moved and purchased a new bedroom set, I figured it would be time to try it out. I've suffered from back pain for years. On top of that, due to a desk job where I use my mouse to design all day, my neck and shoulder hurt as well... after a few weeks of sleeping in my Purple mattress with matching pillow, the pain is gone. No more tossing and turning all night. No more pain. Just lovely restful sleep.

Thank you guys for being innovators in the mattress space. The price can not be beat for the quality you receive. In addition, the humor in your marketing and training materials gave us a good laugh and took took some of the pressure out of lifting a 111-pound log onto a box spring ;) We have had sore backs every now and then waking up, yet we've only had our Purple for about 2 weeks; we're chalking it up to our bodies readjusting to such a well-calibrated mattress. We were so used to contorting ourselves to find the right spot a dying, worn out mattress! Looking forward to the nights to come, we do sleep very soundly on our new bed. this mattress exceeded my expectations. We have had it for three weeks now and over the last couple of months I have experienced increased lower back and hip pain. I assumed it was due to an old mattress so I thought I would give Purple a try. By the first night of sleeping on the mattress I woke up with almost no discomfort and as the week progressed felt better and better. My sleep have gotten better and my wife has seen the same positive results! The added sheets are just as comfortable and worth including!

I bought the xl twin, which was pretty expensive for similar mattress this size. After a few weeks using mattress, it every un comfortable, once your in bed it hard to get out of it you sync in the middle. The mattress itself seems to collapse all the way around it into the middle the grid is very uncomfortable doesnt hold up every well. One. Postive note it cooler you dont sweet while tossing and turning.

Honestly, it's just as advertised. Definitely the coolest mattress I've ever slept on (temperature.) However, there are a few things that I feel should clear up. 1. This is a Firm Mattress. Yes, it does cradle your pressure points, but for any place other than your pressure points, this is a firm mattress. This is necessary in order to align your body properly, but it still caught me by surprise at first. 2. There is an adjustment period. I slept on a very bad mattress before this mattress, and for the first 2 nights, I woke up feeling sore (as in the way you feel sore after stretching a lot.) After the third night, I no longer felt sore, and by the second week I was sleeping better than I ever have, but the first few nights might be a bit rough depending on what you're transitioning from. It is the best mattress I've ever owned, and when compared to other mattresses, you won't find a cooler night's sleep. However, if I were to complain about one thing, it's that they don't offer a full sized bed frame. I would like to buy a bed frame to go with my full sized mattress, but they simply don't offer it.

Two yeas ago, we bought a Casper. Recently, my adult son came back to live with us so we needed another mattress. We decided to buy the purple thinking it would be better than Casper but really they are very similar. I like foam but they don't last any longer than traditional spring mattresses.

First off I am a disabled veteran with insomnia back neck and head problems. I am also overweight (6' 280lb) because I am not capable of working out due to some of these problems. I also suffer from lack of sleep because of the pain induced when I laid down to sleep. I might get 2 hours of sleep a night if I was lucky due to the pain keeping me awake laying there the rest of the time. I have tried numerous beds including the Sleep Number, Tempur-pedic, Memory foam, and high quality pillow top spring mattresses to try to get some sleep but none of them worked. I received my Purple Mattress yesterday and my fiance and I set it up. I was actually hurting more than usual because the thing is so heavy so moving it around was not easy. Yes I should have gotten a friend to help but like most military vets I am stubborn. Anyway last night I was exhausted as usual and instead of forcing myself to stay up because I didn't want the pain of sleep yet I went to bed at 1950. It felt amazing like I was laying there like I had before Afghanistan. I was asleep before 2000. I woke up once in the middle of the night, I think out of habit scanned the room to make sure everything was good including my fiance that I didn't feel get into the bed so it didn't wake me up which is crazy, then went right back to sleep. I woke up and looked at my phone for the time, it said 0515...... I was shocked.... I was not hurting.... I slept for 9 hours..... I stood up and still did not hurt. There is a little stiffness but that is it. I fed the cat and came in here to write this review. Thank you Purple for giving me some of my sanity, sleep, and life back. I bought the King size Purple Bed, Purple Platform Base, Purple Pillow, Purple Mattress Protector, Purple Sheets (slate gray), and the Purple Seat Cushion. That sounds like a large amount but, when you get it, you wish there was more ways you could fit Purple Comfort items into your life because they bring your comfort level to a new high whenever you use them.

While the Customer service is great, the mattress was a disappointment. Especially after all the claims they make in their commercials. I would wake up with more back pain than usual whether sleeping on my back or side. I am now test driving a different mattress and it looks to be helping a lot... Oh well!

The purple mattress is very comfortable and cool. My wife and I were really hot in our temperpedic and decided to switch to purple and it made a huge difference. We both have lower back issues and this mattress relieved a majority of the pain. Well worth the money as it is way cheaper then traditional mattresses.
