My stepdaughter recently bought this mattress and I am currently sleeping on it as a guest in her home. It is very uncomfortable! Every day and in the middle of the night, I wake up with either bad back pain or really bad hip pain. Also, it very hard to get out of this bed in a normal fashion. I'm by no means big or heavy and I still have to literally roll out of this bed! The whole sitting up in bed and getting out normally is not an option. I would not recommend this mattress! I myself have a different mattress that cost a ton less than this and it's way better! Don't waste your money!

We purchased our Purple mattress 4 months ago. We went from a queen iComfort mattress that was about 17 inches thick to a king Purple. I don't want to mention that some of the love of the Purple mattress could just be that it's a king vs a queen. The Purple has been great. For some reason ours came about square so it's a little short. That's kind of odd. On the plus side, it means we can rotate it a quarter every time instead of just the 2 directions. We still have our old queen mattress (that was only 2 years old) and sometimes one of us ends up on it. It is amazing the difference now. On the Purple, we don't wake up with back pain which we do pretty much every time on the other one. We also love how it's not a huge mattress. The old one was just so thick. Purple mattresses are quite heavy though. I'm pregnant now and the Purple mattress has been comfortable so far even pregnant. We will see if I feel the same as I move into the last trimester.

Amazing sleep system, if you're thinking of buying but are not sure you MUST give this a try. Not only did it change my crappy sleep into a more refreshing and restful one but it made me place a no cost cost on something like that's is part of our everyday life... SLEEP

With all of the advertising and reviews I really expected this bed to change my life, so I'm a bit underwhelmed. It is nice though. I'm glad to no longer have a giant dent in the bed where I sleep, though I am still adjusting to sleeping without the dent. It feels much firmer than our old temprapedic. We don't have the mattress cover or sheets, but one night I tried sleeping directly on the mattress and it didn't make a huge difference. I was worried I would be too heavy for it, but I'm not, so that's good.

The mattress was great when it was new, incredibly flat and offered plenty of support. We have had the mattress for over a year so it is out of the return window. There mattress still looks flat, but over time the foam under the gel top has softened in the more used areas and offers less and less support. I am primarily a side sleeper and as the foam has given out it puts my back in more and more of a "U" shape causing significant mid-lower back pain that worsens through the night. My back now wakes me up well before my alarm. I have narrowed the back pain specifically to this mattress : I am not a big guy ( 5'9" 160lbs) and sleep better anywhere other than this mattress (normal mattress, couch, air mattress, cot, hammock, etc) without pain. My wife is primarily a back sleeper and sleeps better, but she also uses a large body pillow in addition to a standard pillow. In summary this mattress looses support over time, but may be ok for back sleeping, but not for side sleeping.

I purchased my purple bed a little over a month ago. It's super convenient, from having the bed shipped directly to your front door and setting it up yourself fairly quick. At first I wasn't sure if I would like the new bed but after my body got used to it I've loved it ever since. I don't want to get out of bed in the mornings when it's time to wake up for work. It truly is very comfortable. My husband struggled with waking up with back pain and he never complains anymore. He said the pain has gone away completely. I'm very satisfied with the bed, although I do wish the price was lower. Thanks purple for the most comfortable bed I've ever owned.

Best bed ever. Five weeks in this is clearly one of the smartest purchases we have made. Very comfortable and incredibly still - you can't feel your partner move, toss, turn, get in, get out...Every night is a restful, refreshing sleep and we get out of bed limber with no aches or pains.

We were sleeping on a TERRIBLE memory foam mattress. After just a few months I developed shoulder pain. I was not sleeping well and had aches and pains all the time. We've only had our Purple for a couple of months but it has CHANGED MY LIFE. No more shoulder pain, I am sleeping soundly (even my FitBit can show the difference) and life is good again. Thank you Purple!

I am enjoying my new Purple mattress so much. It serving not only as my place of slumber but also as my lounge chair, and desk. It's the last thing I touch when I leave home and the first when I return. Enjoying the firmness yet flexible....keep up the good wrk

I was really anticipating great things from this mattress. I had tried other memory foam mattresses but they all slept hot. So I was hoping for a different experience from this mattress. Unfortunately, it too slept hot. I am in the process of returning it now.
