My wife and I are blown away with the comfort of this mattress. It's different for sure, and took a night or two to get used to, but now that we're used to it I can't imagine ever going back. What we didn't expect was also how QUIET it is! Without the creaky springs the mattress is completely silent. All in all we're totally happy with our purchase!

In high school I met a drunk driver going the wrong way in the dark, and I have had recurrent back issues ever since. That was 1969. In June I rolled out my purple and laid dome on it on my back with feet hanging over the edge. In a minute my neck popped, then my middle back, and finally my problematic lower back. No chiropractor needed! Since then I have had no problems with my lower back locking up. I love this bed!

I've gone from 3-4 hours of sleep to 6-7 hours of sleep. I don't toss and turn so I'm getting better quality sleep. The big bonus is I wake up, get out of bed and my body isn't stiff and sore anymore. I don't have to "walk it out" before my knees, feet and back loosen up! I should have purchased this mattress years ago! I know I'll never have another mattress but a Purple!

Smartest purchase on bedding we have ever made. My wife and I, both, have serious back issues, and have struggled for years to find a mattress that appealed to both of us. We've run the gamut from coil spring, water beds, back to coil spring, with no success. After 48 years of marriage, we decided to try the Purple XL twins. All I can say is, for the first time in many, many years, we can sleep through the night and wake up without hip and back pain. We put them on adjustable bases and can adjust our sleeping positions for our individual needs. What a blessing the Purple mattresses have been.

I was a little worried buying the purple original because I saw some reviews that said "if you are a side sleeper who weighs less than 150lbs you probably need something softer like the Purple3." I'm around 120 and this mattress has worked great for me! The original purple was in our price range and my husband and I have not been disappointed!

GO WATCH THE PURPLE EGG TEST! We looked at a few different new mattress companies like Lull, nest, etc. But, honestly none of them are made the way a purple mattress is made. The other mattresses are really just foam on foam. A purple mattress literally conforms to you, but you don't just sink... it supports your important points.

My wife and I have spent over a year trying different mattresses, both online and in big box stores. i weigh 205lbs and am 6"1 my wife is 140 and 5"7. This Purple mattress is by far the best mattress we have had. It is nothing like anything else on the market. We came from a pillow top mattress and had all kinds of trouble finding a mattress that was memory foam but still had that comfort feeling. This mattress has the best of both worlds in a unique design that is even better than a pillow top. No sagging or craters to deal with either. I also purchased the purple pillow and that has made a huge difference on how i sleep too. Such great innovative products! I can assure you this mattress is worth trying out, you will love it. Again, we tried several other leading online mattresses.

I usually don't write reviews, but this one I had to do. I have suffered from chronic back pain for over 10 years. I've tried every medical procedure, tried every type of physical therapy, acupuncture, etc. Nothing, and I mean nothing gave me relief at night and allowed me to get a good night's sleep. I saw the commercial for the Purple bed and viewed it as just another "hype" product. However, since I have tried every mattress under the sun, even the high priced "number" bed and the "memory" beds, I thought what the heck, I'll try this one because they do give you a 30 day trial period. Well, I cannot tell you how pleased and surprised I was after trying just one night. For the first time in years I slept through the night and woke up with no back pain! I was in desperate need of a new mattress. I did some comparison research between several companies and I decided to try out Purple. My wife and I are so glad we did. The mattress is very supportive but not rock hard, and the mattress doesn't result in you waking up hot and sweaty. It also doesn't take several days to breathe once you open it up. It is good to go, right out of the tube.

Bought a Purple (now the Purple Classic) after my 10 year old memory foam mattress left me waking up sore every morning. Tried some other memory foam in a box mattresses, but found them too soft, and too 'hot', and I was still waking up sore. When I got my purple mattress, I was initially thrilled. I was finally waking up without any pain, and slept better than I had in a while, but it didn't last for long. Within a year I found I was waking up feeling sore again. After a year and a half the side I slept on is noticeably lower than the other side, and it is visibly deformed. Looked up the warranty info, and found that there needs to be a 1 inch depression for them to replace it. This means I'll have to deliberately keep sleeping on the smushed side for a few years to qualify for a warranty replacement, or switch to the good side and get up to 1 year of comfortable sleeping which will cause the depressions on each side to even out and make it impossible to ever meet the 1 inch threshold for a warranty claim. And even if I did get a new mattress under the warranty, that only means 1 or 2 years of good sleep before the replacement one suffers the same problem. I'm a tall skinny guy; if the mattress can't stand up to the minimal load per square inch that my body places on it, there's a serious flaw in the materials used. Bottom line; this mattress is only good for a year or two. Poor value when a mattress should last for 7-10 years.
