I can tell it is a quality matress. I am 6'4 and 320lbs. The base model purple 2 is not for me. I have exchanged it for the hybrid plus 3. I haven't given up hope but the base model bottoms out. It has made my hips, shoulder and back ache. I got a cold and very much wanted to sleep but dreaded the idea of laying in bed. My wife and I purchased the spit king. We have had splits before but very much prefer a split top not a full split. With the way the bed is supported around the grid it doesnt allow much for rolling in either direction or cuddling.

I am very happy with my Purple mattress. I am chronically ill and have a lot of pain through out my body. My husband has back problems. We both really like this mattress and are glad that we took a chance on it. The 100 night guarantee is great, however we knew before 100 nights was over that we were definitely keeping the mattress. We both sleep much better on this mattress than others we have had in the past. We have recommended the Purple mattress to many people. Thanks Purple for making a mattress worth buying.

We've had our mattress now for about a month and so far we really like it, but I'll admit it took some getting used to after sleeping on a traditional pillow top mattress my whole life. It's not as "soft" as I thought it would be, but it provides the most incredible support for my back and hips. My only complaint about the experience was the delivery. We had a single guy show up to deliver this 200 lb mattress up a flight of stairs. Needless to say he struggled and asked my wife (who was the one home) if she could help. Not exactly "white glove" delivery. What's worse, he tried dragging it up the stairs with the filthy shipping plastic on leaving my stairs black. I contacted Purple and their response was a bit disheartening... they said I would need to contact the freight company to file a claim and try to get reimbursed to have my carpets cleaned. I'm sorry, but this is NOT white glove service as advertised, and I don't know why I have to manage your suppliers for you. Disappointed in this lever of customer service... hoping I don't have to experience it again for a warranty issue.

It took me a while to realize if I like it or not (like maybe a few weeks). My last mattress was softer so it felt all cozy at first, but I am a side sleeper and if I slept all night on my side my hips sometimes hurt and such. The purple mattress feels more firm, but not too firm. It keeps your spine aligned when you sleep on your side and your weight is evenly distributed so you don't get pressure points on your hips. I wake up with less aches and pains now. But, I still wake up w/ upper back pain (a little). I think that may be because I sleep w/ my neck stretched out funky or something. I would like to try the purple pillow to see if that remedies the situation. When is that coming out???

I would have rated the overall experience with five stars, but the bed frame that I ordered with the mattress took a long time to ship. The mattress shipped within the time frame indicated at the time I ordered. I love the mattress! I have slept comfortably since the first night.

At first the mattress was way too firm. Our back and shoulders ached. After a few weeks, it wasn't too bad. Still a little firm for my wife. We tried out a mattress from Mattress Firm for one night that was "softer", but both woke up sweaty and super uncomfortable. After getting the purple mattress back on the base, it was obviously the superior mattress. After several weeks, the bed has a soft but firm feel to it, and sleeps super cool. There is no motion transfer when your spouse turns over, but the material is still very springy and bouncy. Our backs feel great, and it got even better with the Purple pillow. We love it!

The mattress actually made my injury worse from how it feels. I'm waiting to get my third set of mri's on my back to see if the damage to my back actually increased. My daughter doesn't like it and my significant other doesn't like to sleep over with how uncomfortable it is.

I bought the queen sized mattress after being wow-ed by the commercials. I have always had a lot of back problems and roll around in my sleep a lot. Nothing has changed, I'm not any worse off than I was before and I was in the market for a new mattress anyways. It's not the miracle product I had crossed my fingers for but I have no interest in returning it because it works just fine. One side note though... I saw a review claiming this mattress was great for "midnight activities". I would like to debunk that by saying my partner and I have had some hilarious moments adjusting to the change. Doesn't help or hinder, just a change you have to get used to.

This mattress is way to thin especially on the sides where the bed collapses. I'm only 170 pounds and I don't think there is enough structure on the edges of the bed. It's isn't overly comfortable, but it is supportive. I think the more expensive model would have been a much better choice. This 10 inch thick mattress is way to low for a platform bed both practically and aesthetically. First two nights on the bed was not good at all, but the mattress did get better with time. I am returning this and will be getting a different brand. Overall not bad, just not for me. I sleep on back stomach and side.

The very first night I had amazing dreams that I was weightless and floating above the earth holding a cluster of balloons. It's like that. Never been able to stay on my back all night- and this mattress is making that possible. That alone is making my spine smile!
