Certainly more comfortable than the used 15 year old mattress I had been using, but not what I was hoping for. I am 40 years old, 6' 290lbs and I am a bed roller. I roll over and over throughout the night in an attempt to relieve pressure and I was really hoping that this bed would solve that issue. It did not. Even taking a sleep aid and 5mg of Melatonin every single night, I am still turning over a dozen or more times a night and I am completely unable to spend more than about 6-7 hours a night in the bed. After that, the pain in my lower back and shoulder/neck area is just too much to remain in bed at all.

I was intrigued by the purple mattress when I first saw the video ad. My husband and I had been wanting to upgrade to a king size mattress and I loved that we could test it for 100 sleeps. We ordered the King Size purple mattress and it was delivered as scheduled. Setup of the purple mattress was a breeze! After the first nights sleep I was sold! I will say that I did wake up a little sore but I was waking up sore on my old mattress. One week after our first sleep on the purple mattress we took a weekend trip out of town. By the time the trip was over I could not wait to get back to my purple mattress! I love this mattress and cannot imagine having to sleep on anything else.

I'm giving. The purple mattress a 4/5 simply due to the first few days where my body had not adjusted and I would wake up with minor back and hip pains. But now that I have been sleeping on the mattress for a few weeks my body has grown to love it. I can come home from a 12+ hour shift with every muscle in my back and legs steaming at me, then wake up with no pain and feeling fully refreshed.

My Fianceé and I bought the Purple king size mattress, as we were moving into a new apartment and his 6'3" frame was too long for my queen sized bed. We had done our research and found Purple! He has a lot of back pain and would pop his back several times a day and I have always had lower back pain. It took us about a week to adjust to our new Purple bed, but we are absolutely in love. And we've recommended it to both our parents! I no longer wake up with severe lower back pain and my fianceé has only popped his back a handful of times in the last 3 weeks! Everyone should seriously have a purple bed!

I purchased a mattress with the adjustable foundation. I have a couple of medical conditions (GERD/Sleep Apnea) that necessitate the need to sleep a bit upright and trying to sleep on 2 or 3 pillows wasn't working for me. I took me about 4 days to get used to the new mattress/position, but now I know long toss and turn. I'm sleeping more soundly, I'm no longer coughing in the middle of the night, and I hate to get out of bed in the morning. The mattress is way more comfortable than the Tempurpedic my parent's have. For a side sleeper, too firm or too soft can be an issue. For me the feel is just right and I love that I can read in bed comfortably now.

I had high hopes for the Purple Mattress, and I can honestly say it did not disappoint. This is the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. I am a back sleeper, but will lay on my side from time to time. No matter what position I'm in it is super comfortable.

I wanted a purple mattress for years. We had an old Tempurpedic which felt like heaven. But I started having aches and pains in the morning after a few years and really bad lower back pain. We tried a couple mattresses but they felt too stiff or too soft. Finally I convinced my husband to give Purple a try. I couldn't wait to go to bed that night our mattress arrived because it felt perfect.I slept like a rock! But after a couple of nights I had some doubts because hearing that peoples back pain goes away. Mine did not. My husband fell in love with the mattress as well and urged me to wait a little longer before returning it. After reading the forums and understanding that sometimes it takes more than 30 days to adjust to it, I waited. And YES!!!! We have the mattress now for over 2 months and I am pain free!!! I get up in the morning like a spring chicken. Thank you Purple and sorry I had moments of doubt. LOVE IT!!!!

I really wanted to love this mattress. It has rave reviews, it's advertised everywhere, and some friends even recommended it to me. Ultimately I found that the Purple didn't have enough support. I would NOT consider this a firm mattress, I'd say it's more medium/plush compared to what I'm used to. I felt my lower back and hips sinking into the mattress when laying on my back. My partner and I woke up with horrible lower back pain every morning. The mattress also has no edge support - when sitting on the edge of the bed to put shoes on, it sank all the way down to the bed frame (and I'm an average 120 lbs). I also wasn't impressed with the motion transfer, I could feel the bed move every time my parter got out of bed. For us, an all foam mattress is just not the answer when you need more back support. The one positive thing I will say is that the purple grid is a very interesting concept, and I never got over heated during the month that we tried this bed.

So far so great of a mattress after 2 weeks. But from the pillow to the mattress the material they use is extremely heavy compared to traditional spring and memory foam. But it does keep you cool like stated. Regretting moving it in a year. Maybe the guys are purple can provide a solution on moving the mattress when it's not rolled up and air sealed.

We had a mattress for probably more years than we should have. It was in pretty bad shape. We also had a lot of sleeping problems. We decided to purchase a Purple at the recommendation of a friend. It's amazing. I didn't know a mattress could be this comfy. Minimal movement transfer. Sleeps cool. And we're sleeping so much better!
