I had been dealing with my old mattress for way too long. Thought I just got fat and that's why it wasn't comfortable anymore. Finally I got tired of waking up with my back hurting so I broke down and ordered a purple mattress. First night sleep I didn't move once. Woke up and was able to instantly get out of bed, no back pain at all. It's been like that every night since, good night sleep, no back pain in the morning. Couldn't be happier, just wish I could go back and time and buy this mattress back then instead of waiting as long as I did!

After 10 years of polite debate, I finally convinced my husband that it was time to retire the slab of concrete disguised as a mattress that we had been tossing and turning on for all of these years. I was tired of waking up in the morning stiff and sore, and frankly, I was just TIRED. My husband had recently started mentioning that his shoulders were feeling less than wonderful and that he was waking up with tingly, sleepy-feeling hands each morning. We began the long process of researching different types of beds and kept coming back to the Purple. For every issue that we ran into (not enough bounce, too warm, off-gassing) the Purple seemed to have the solution already figured out. We took the plunge and ordered up a King Purple, which we carefully unpacked onto a platform bed frame. After a long day of waiting for bedtime...and repeatedly shooing our four boys off of the new bed...it was finally time to crawl in for the night! I won't lie...that first night was interesting. We both tossed and turned a bit, getting used to how the bed felt and how the mattress responded to movement. By the second night, we were sold! No more sore backs, aching shoulders or hips or sleeping/tingly hands. We were sleeping soundly and waking up like we did 20 years ago...rested and ready for the day! We highly recommend the King Purple. It's unlike any bed you've ever tried, and if for some crazy reason you DON'T like it, you can utilize the guarantee! Or send it over to my house. I'll gladly take another one for the guest room! P.S. We recently spent a night on our old mattress, which has since been banished to the family cabin. It was HORRIBLE! I have no idea why we tortured ourselves all of those years. It was the first time ever that both my husband and I couldn't wait to get back home...we talked about our King Purple incessantly over that looong weekend. ; ) Don't wait...just order your very own Purple!

I'm convinced that the Purple Mattress is the best on the planet. Most conforming, and supportive at the same time. Also with its design and open polymer structure it isn't hot like all of the memory foams everyone else is trying to "improve" over their competitors. Purple is different and better for the difference!

After having the typical experience of someone who watched the videos online and said I didn't need expert installation, once the bed was all set up, inflated, and had bedding put on, I sat down. I was immediately disappointed. I sank way too low, but I had already put the old mattress outside and it was raining, there was no turning back. A few hours later I decided it was time to go to bed and I climbed in. It was completely different than sitting! My weight was evenly distributed, by joints were supported, and it felt like heaven. I slept hard that night, and haven't had much trouble falling asleep since I got it.

I'd been sleeping on a terrible mattress for 7 years, but because it was an investment (read: very expensive), I felt I had to get my money's worth. Bad idea! Once I switched over to Purple, I realized my mistake...no matter how much it costs, don't sleep on a bad mattress. Purple doesn't allow that, because it gives you 100 days to find out if this mattress is for you. Not that you need 100 days. I knew after a week that this mattress was for me:-)

I have back problems and my husband has arthritis. This mattress has REALLY helped us both. It is SO COMFORTABLE and supportive! Be patient.. there is definitely an adjustment period for the first week or two...(the sock dancing and jersey sheets really do help)! I've been recommending it to pretty much everyone I know! Worst matress ever. We ordered the original after reading several reviews and were very dissatisfied. This matress support is not long lasting. It was good for about 4 months and then the foam just started compressing and losing its support. The gel matrix is not cooling as advertised. We wake up nightly overheated and have never had that problem with other mattresses. Contacting there customer service is ridiculous. I emailed them with questions and concerns and got generic answer that just advertised for the bed and did not answer any questions. I would never recommend this bed to anyone. Now due to this matress my back pain is significantly worse and on the way to leading to a back surgery.

So far, not good. I have an email in to the company . Hopefully, the awful odor will outgas soon. I will revisit this site with an update. I will not be sleeping on the mattress until the odor is no longer present. I'll give it a month and if not better, it's going back.

I should say if you can sleep on it. Maybe it's great for other people but not for us. We have tried and tried to cope with this mattress and it's simply not getting any more comfortable. If anything it seems to be getting worse. We wake up in pain most nights and every morning. I have resorted to sleeping on the couch at this point. The mattress is supported as required and when we both lay in it we roll towards the center, in fact it is supported better than required. Like I said, maybe it's great for some but not for either of us! It's very soft and you can feel the polymer grid at times which is uncomfortable. I will give it another week or so but most likely will looking to "return" it....

OK I've had the purple platform, mattress and pillow for about a week now and I'm calling this experiment a big success. This mattress is w/out question the best mattress I've ever slept in. I sleep deeper w/ less waking up to roll over to my other side. I sleep in about an hour later than traditionally. It's even got me taking naps people! It regains it's original shape after you're done laying in it so I suspect it'll remain really comfortable for years. If you're looking for a new mattress Purple is really a pleasure. I've ordered my son and his mother each a pillow. I've also ordered myself the seat cushion as well as the mattress protector and sheets. I'm now a huge purple fan.
