I went from a very soft pillow top to the purple mattress. It was a huge change and at first I didn't sleep well. I back stopped hurting, but it look a month or so until I could fall into a deep sleep again. Also, this mattress is very hard to move. It's like trying to move a huge bag of pudding through the house once it's out of the purple shipping bag

This mattress is awesome. I wake up feeling incredible every day. I have been telling everyone about it and carrying around the sample they provide so I can spread the word. Everyone should have a Purple! And given the cost, there's no reason for everyone not to!

Purple has amazing customer service, hands down. They are respectful, responsive, and incredibly customer-friendly. They helped me out with replacing my mattress, which was under warranty. It started sagging and was extremely uncomfortable. They took care of everything--the new product shipped quickly, they took care of removing the old mattress--it was all incredibly easy and I didn't have to worry about a thing! My only complaint is that I still feel like I'm sleeping on a waffle, and even though this mattress is brand new and in perfect condition, I wake up with aches and pains every day. Perhaps it's just my body but it is just not a comfortable bed for me. I'm a side and stomach sleeper, and I find it difficult to the former and impossible to do the latter. I flop like a fish all night because I cannot get comfortable. I'm bummed because it was a big investment and I can't afford a new bed. There are nights where I end up sleeping on the (carpeted) floor because my body just hurts so much.

Was a little nervous buying without testing it but knowing i could return it without issue was a big selling point. Mattress is much cooler then memory foam. My wife and I are both less then 200 pounds, and we really like the feel of the mattress. Not too hard, not too soft

Still happy with our split king adjustable beds are 2.5 years and we still recommend them to friend and family. My husband and I both had back pain for years and the first morning after sleeping on Purple, he said that was the first morning in years he's woken up with no pain. Neither of us have back pain now.

Before upgrading to PURPLE I was using your standard memory foam mattress for the past 10 years. In my years of experience, memory foam tends to hold a lot of body heat, and I mention this because I sleep hot. Also, memory foam eventually breaks and gives eventually making "dips" or "ruts" in the area of the bed you sleep most. After many arduous hours of research before investing in a mattress I kept coming back to PURPLE's website. PURPLE is the only company that has the unique purple grid where is everyone else is based off of different types of ways using memory foam. In the end though it's all still memory foam. After reading the reviews and watching enough videos I was sold on the PURPLE mattress especially after learning that these mattresses sleep cool and "breathe". Also, I would like to mention this. All my life I've used two pillows to try and find that perfect comfort level, but could never really achieve it. I purchased the Harmony pillow 7.5", and it is the perfect height and is so amazingly comfortable. Additionally, I purchased the purple stretch sheets and gravity blanket. All in all every bit of technology and comfort Purple has sent to my house has been phenomenal. This is the stuff dreams are made of!!!

History: I'm over 200lbs, have had back problems for years, and always had a pillow top mattress. This mattress has helped my back tremendously, though I will say it was WAY more firm than I expected at first. Not in a bad way, because it contours perfectly to your body, so you sleep as straight as possible; but it did take a few weeks to adjust. Would highly recommend!

This is a nice mattress and it is firm but it's unfortunately to firm for me. I have been waking up with my arms falling asleep which I was shocked by. I like to sleep on my stomach but also move to my sides through out the night. I wake up at least every hour with this bed trying to get more comfortable. I'm 5'4 female and I weight 118. Maybe it would be better for a heavier person?? It has to much push back on my pressure points . I'm hoping I'll be able to schedule a successful return. It's a great bed just not great for me.

I'm a pretty large man (6'5" - 380 lbs) the bed is very comfortable but it definitely keeps moisture trapped between you and the mattress. While it's not hot to sleep on the sheets do get a bit moist with sweat. I still sleep better on this one than my old standard mattress I believe I should have gotten one of the newer ones with more purple material. I would absolutely recommend this bed to anyone that wakes up in pain from a bad mattress! Thanks purple team!

What an amazing bed. I bet some of the negative reviews are because people didn't bother to get a good base and the nice stretchy sheets/mattress protector. I sleep better, I don't wake up stiff, and I had quite a lot of work done to my back (two 8 inch rods and a bunch of screws, and some other little thing to keep my vertebrae apart). I didn't even know I could wake up and feel like I did before my surgery. I used to have to stand in a hot shower for 10 minutes every morning to unstiffen. I got the pillow, sheets, base and protector, and have recommended it to every single person I talk to who ever mentions sleep. Invest in yourself, good sleep is so important, I had no idea what I was missing out on.
