We purchased an original Purple mattress 4 years ago, it has been a great mattress. All of a sudden it was not so great, but Purple customer service handled my warranty claim super fast and now we're on the Purple Plus and it's more amazing then the original.

My wife and I both have some type of back pain so we decided to give Purple a try. Unfortunately this mattress isn't for us. We tried the bed for a couple of months, even switching back to our old mattress for a few nights. As bad as we hated to, we had to ask for a refund. To our amazement THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM AT ALL! They helped us though the simple process and in the end we were able to donate to a wonderful local charity. So, DO NOT BE AFRAID TO GIVE THIS MATTRESS A TRY! They really do what they say they will do - so refreshing to do business with a company that is not a scam! Wonderful business, wonderful people!! BTW, the seat cushion is the best, no way I'll part with that!

I tried out another popular mattress company before switching to purple, and the upgrade in price did indeed get me a better mattress. The purple grid structure is quite nice and comfortable to sleep on. Love that they send you little samples of the material. The firmness is also quite nice for a side / stomach sleeper. This is not a 5-star review because 1) I do not feel like I got an exceptional deal on the mattress compared to what the competition offers, and 2) The marketing (and up-selling) are a bit too over the top for my tastes.

My husband has never been able to sleep well or to fall asleep quickly. Every morning, no matter the mattress he slept on, he would wake up in pain. Every night he would toss and turn, and if he was asleep within 1 hour of putting his head on the pillow, that was a good night. I wasn't too far behind - and my issues would be worse if I was on a firm mattress (preferred by him) and his were worse on a soft mattress (preferred by me). With Purple, we fall asleep within minutes, and stay asleep until the alarm goes off. No more tossing and turning, no more pain. I wish we had known about this mattress sooner, as it has been worth every penny. When the eventual time comes, there is no doubt we will be buying another Purple.

My mattress didn't last a year before we had to turn it because of the divot made. Mind you that we are not large people. I'm 125 and my husband is 175. Not quite another year and we turned it again and added a topper.... that didn't last. 2 of the friends that I have referred were also experiencing the same thing. They warrantied the bed and had excellent customer service but the product just didn't last.

THE CUSHION - After falling in love with the Simply Purple seat cushion, I knew I would be buying a Purple mattress someday (I had a bad pressure sore that developed from sleeping in an armchair because the bed was too painful, and the cushion caused it to heal up completely!). THE MATTRESS - The day finally came, when Purple had the promo of free sheets with mattress purchase! Hooray!! I also purchased the mattress protector, and everything was delivered a week after I ordered! I have slept on my Purple original queen mattress for two weeks now. I have degenerative arthritis, with painful back and knee damage. From the first night, when I lay down, after the initial pain of lying down and putting pressure on those joints, in less than a minute it seemed like the mattress was "absorbing" the pain away from my body - I have needed no "breaking in" period like other reviewers have experienced. I do not even need a pillow under my legs to take the pressure off my lower back and knees - the mattress fully supports everywhere, and I am a heavy woman. THE SHEETS - Also, the mattress protector is very nice, not stiff, just soft and stretchy, as are the sheets. The sheets are a must for the mattress to do its job. However, I love cotton sheets/pillowcases, so I only use the fitted bottom sheet (which stays completely snapped in place no matter how you move) and just use my cotton top sheet and pillowcases. I have my mattress on top of my existing queen box foundation/frame. THE HAPPY ENDING - Bliss!! Praise God for the Purple technology; He knew I would be needing it!

First off, Purple is a great company and that's why they are getting two stars. When I did not enjoy my Purple after 2 weeks, they sent a 1800GOTJUNK truck right away to take it away and refunded me my money in a week. Good on them! However, the mattress was just way too firm. I kept waking up with dead arm throughout the night. I really wanted to like this mattress, but couldn't. If you like a firm mattress, then this one is for you!

I purchased the OG purple bed and I wish i would have purchased the 4". I do not think that the OG has enough support for my weight (275 LBS) to sleep on my side and I wake up with sore shoulders every morning. I am only about three weeks in...I may upgrade.

So grateful we took a chance on all the Purple products. I had neck surgery two years ago, and I can't believe the difference I feel now. I'm sleeping through the night, and waking up feeling rested and out of pain. The Mattress and Pillow have given me my life and energy back!

Great experience with Purple mattress and the platform base. Delivery was super speedy, assembly was quick and seamless, and it is so comfortable. I joke with my friends that I haven't known what a comfortable bed was until getting this mattress. It's a great balance of comfy and supportive. Very, very satisfied with my purchase!
