After a month of my back adjusting. The purple mattress is great. I had no issues while sleeping on the mattress during the breakin period only during daily activities. I like the mattress and will keep it. I do recommend anyone who had difficulties sleeping to try this mattress. I'm looking forward to the purple pillow release.

I was skeptical of Purple because I tend to be skeptical of anything new. But my fiancé and I went in to try it out, and we both loved it. I typically like hard mattresses, and she likes soft, but we were both really comfortable. We had also gone to a mattress firm, and we couldn't find any mattress that we both liked as much as the Purple. When it arrived, my back had been hurting me for about 6 weeks from a weightlifting accident. After one night sleeping on the Purple, I couldn't feel my back pain anymore. I sleep a lot better because I don't have pressure on my shoulder. I tend to get hot at night, but the mattress stays cool.

Very happy with our mattress. My only gripe is that I am yet to find a bed protector/sheet combination that doesn't alter the feel of the bed drastically, even using recommended jersey sheets and a protector from the recommended company, there is a big difference in feel. I am anticipating a product designed by Purple to solve this issue because these things have been quite expensive.

I am not saying that all purple products are bad. I own a queen size mattress and a seat cushion. The seat cushion is perfect for me and it has made traveling easier in my trucks uncomfortable seats. I am shocked and amazed that I am having a completely different experience with my queen size mattress that I amazingly spent over $1,000 on. The reason why I wouldn't recommend this bed is that it is not good for couples. I don't think I would have a problem with the mattress if I were sleeping by myself but if I have to choose my mattress over my partner, I'm going to pick my partner. My partner is heavier than me and I always find myself rolling every night to his side of the bed. It is extremely hard to get good sleep if you're not laying on a flat surface. I have tried calling purple to see what they can do for me even though the mattress was past its warranty (or with your money back guarantee date). The customer service provider said they would be able to do something for me if I could take a picture of the bed warping by placing a gallon of milk on the mattress and capture a picture of how it sits on the bed. The pictures would then need to be approved of for a replacement or money back. The problem I am having is that the surface of the bed isn't warping (Can't take a picture like he suggested) but is only causing me issues when my partner weighs the bed down. I weigh 145 and he weighs 190. I think I wouldn't be upset if I spent $400-$500 on this mattress but I invested in this knowing I would have it for well over 1 YEAR. Guess its time to go mattress shopping again. OH my favorite. Dear Purple, Great job on your marketing, but make a better mattress.

This is the first mattress I have ever had that, as a side sleeper, is soft enough to cradle my shoulder and hip while still providing firm support for my back. It is also comfortable while sitting in bed to read. I bought a twin xl original mattress which I was able to unpack and set up by myself despite being a small 73 year old woman. I would have needed help for a larger mattress. There was a slight odor that dissipated within a few hours. The stretchy sheets I bought have a nice feel and wash well but take a long time to dry. The customer support people responded quickly to my questions about setup.

At first the mattress was way too firm. Our back and shoulders ached. After a few weeks, it wasn't too bad. Still a little firm for my wife. We tried out a mattress from Mattress Firm for one night that was "softer", but both woke up sweaty and super uncomfortable. The mattress does have an interesting top feel but once you get past that it's a great bed! The only way I can describe the mattress is "The softest hardest mattress I have ever been on." On all other mattresses I have slept on I never feel the mattress supporting my entire back or under my knees but this mattress truly cradles my entire body! My bf and I are both very pleased with our mattress. We got the standard (cheapest) queen, but it doesn't feel like a cheap (comparitely, since it's NOT a cheap mattress, lol) mattress. Bf doesn't feel me moving on the mattress, and we are both enjoying the comfort of the mattress. I definitely recommend it.
