We tried the Purple mattress to address back and joint pain while sleeping. It is a very comfortable mattress. I have much less joint pain when I wake up. The gel takes some getting used to, and flannel sheets help to counteract the cooling effect. It will be great in the summer, but it's winter now. The mattress is very heavy - 100+ pounds, and has a very soft edge. Otherwise it seems to be workin well for us. We have been sleeping on it for about 3 weeks now.

I have to say that I was skeptical about buying a mattress online that I couldn't test out first. We've been sleeping on the Purple mattress for several weeks now and I'm comfortable saying that this is the BEST MATTRESS I've ever slept on! We definitely did our research of the online mattress companies (i.e. Sealy, Nectar, etc.). We read all independent reviews and watched countless review videos. All signs pointed to Purple. The reviews were not wrong! I used to wake up with shoulder and hip pain on our old mattress, but that is not happening with the Purple mattress. I was also skeptical about how the reviews said this memory foam mattress actually "sleeps cool." We've all heard how memory foam mattresses trap heat. Definitely not the case with Purple! You can actually feel the cooling effect through the mattress protector and sheets. It's amazing! I haven't woken up hot once. It's definitely not "cold," but it definitely doesn't trap the heat either. One of the other great features I was skeptical about was how the mattress was advertised to be the perfect combination of firm and soft. I didn't know what that even meant until I actually slept on the mattress. The second you lay down, you can feel what this means. Finally, the motion transfer is little to none. In other words, when you or your partner move around you can't really feel anything on the other side of the bed. This is truly amazing technology and I would recommend this mattress to anyone. It's worth every single penny!

Ever since receiving our bed, my wife and I look forward to going to bed... not just for the stuff couples do... but for actually sleeping. The bed is extremely comfortable. I always run hot and my wife runs cold. We both however seem to be equally comfortable. I tend to toss and turn and while that previously would keep my wife awake, she sleeps soundly now in our Purple bed for 2 reasons. 1) I toss much less because I'm comfortable and 2) she can't feel my movement when I do move. I've been highly recommending this bed to all my friends. Not only is it extremely comfortable but also extremely affordable.

My wife and I bought the original version and it's just not as soft as I had hoped. If you like a firmer mattress this would be a good choice, if you like a softer mattress I would get the 4" version (if you have the money) or a different brand. I still wake up every morning with back pain. I'm strongly thinking about sending it back and trying a Casper or ghost bed.

First off I love the bed. It's super comfy. My only complaint is I wish the purple top part was a little weaker. What I mean is I wish it collapsed with just a little less effort. This may be that I don't weigh very much (120 lbs), I did read reviews that said it's not 100% made for lighter people so I knew that going in. But even with that I would still recommend the bed. I still really like it.

Frame was easy to put together! Mattress is still heavy but so worth the good night's sleep. This second mattress is for our guest bedroom. They deserve a good night's sleep, too. Our first mattress is still amazing. I sleep the whole night, and wake up without pain.

Started out as one new mattress in July for Mom and Dad. Turned into oldest had to have one for his birthday in January and then other two got theirs in May as early birthday presents. Most boys want video games, mine had to have the purple mattresses!!! We all love them. My youngest everyday since he got it just thanks us and tells us how much he loves his bed.

I purchased the mattress for my wife who sleeps in a small twin adjustable bed. She has been after me to get this mattress after laying on a Purple Mattress at my son and daughter-in-law's home. She has now had the mattress for a few weeks and loves it. She has to sleep with her head inclined and on her back. She has a bad back and is able to get on and off the mattress easily and rest with her back well supported with no pressure points. As I said she loves mattress so far.

I enjoy the comfort and softness, but it's more work than it's worth. It is soooo heavy, like a ton of bricks. I had to get a friend to help bring it upstairs and set it up. And even though he and I are both strong, it was so hard. I struggle to even change the sheets. Also, it's pretty thin, and you definitely need a box frame, so that it's not so flat. I wanted a higher mattress, without needing the box frame. I have a supportive base for it, so I want a stand alone mattress. As for comfort, it is comfortable, but I can't say it does wonders for my back. Sometimes I wake up feeling sore on it.

i had 2 of your old cushions, & a woman i spoke to there sent me free new cushion, now i consider that important, w/ a hundred days to be sure, this old man will buy your single bed mattress in about six months, you treat customers like we matter - thanx
