After cracking a vertebrae and rupturing a disc back in '98 while in the Marine Corps, I found that it was impossible for me to sleep on my back without a pillow under my knees. I spent years struggling to sleep without pain, and after countless different mattresses I tried Purple. When I first got it I expected it to be no different than any of the others... needless to say I was completely blown away the first time I slept on it. For the first time in nearly 20 years I would stretch out entirely on my back with no pillow under my knees and no pain. The only issue I had was that the bed had to be sent twice because the first time it never arrived. I had to file a police report and everything. Other than that, everyone was very responsive, great customer service, and I just was able go sleep on it last night and it was amazing!

I was a little skeptical that it was just good marketing, but after our last failed mattress purchase (another online brand I won't mention here) I was blown away how easy the process was. With my old mattress I would toss and turn all night. I would go to bed and my lower back didn't hurt. As the night progressed I would wake because my lower back would start hurting. Then then endless circles of rolling over to a new laying position. I do say because of the way the mattress supports my back there are many, many nights where I don't wake at all. I had a few friends and family tell me they got a purple and liked it so with the 100 night guarantee I decided to give it a try. Definitely takes a few weeks to get used to but the sleep is great. I wouldn't say it's " Phenomenal" like some have said but it is a great mattress. I am using it on top of an adjustable mattress and it seems to have zero issues confirming to the adjustments.

Great matress. Delivery and set up were a breeze (although I did need someone else to help me carry it up the stairs). I've been sleeping on it about a month and have definitely noticed a decrease in lower back pain which I believe was caused by my previous mattress beginning to dip. Laying on it give me a good combination of support and softness. Can't wait to see how it holds up over time. Definitely worth the price.

Purchasing a new mattress was such a daunting task, and my old mattress was definitely causing me some back pains. I saw the ads for Purple so I began my research and viewed some reviews online. After a few weeks, I decided to go for a Purple Queen size mattress. Packed very efficiently when it arrived, and when unpacked, it was ready to go! (If you can get another person to help you carry and lift, I recommend that). That first night, my back pain from my previous mattress didn't go away right away, but I did experience a full sleep with no interruptions. My back issue eventually did go away within a week or so. My girlfriend has a tendency to get up a lot during the night, so with the old mattress, whenever someone moves it inevitably will wake each other up. With this new Purple mattress, I barely feel a thing when my gf gets up in the middle of the night. I also have tendency to get hot while sleeping, but as advertised, the mattress does feel cooler! In summary, I highly recommend Purple. Sleeping is actually enjoyable again!

After 20 years with a pillow top, I'm so happy I ordered a purple mattress. It provides great support, yet feels nice and soft. When I wake up in the morning, my back and neck don't hurt as bad as it used to. I definitely recommend this. From the delivery to putting it on my bed frame, this has been an easy experience.

The mattress was initially great. I started have back aches sleeping on the same side I always sleep on. Not sure but either the mattress wore where it no longer supports me as it should or a year of side sleeping on a mattress that is quite terrible for side sleeping is finally taking its toll. Could also be the purple pillows. They are not high enough for side sleeping.

I am a side sleeper with a bad back and hip. This mattress is firm but you do not feel pressure points on your hip and shoulder. I tested out the Purple in a store which turned out to be the older style. It was softer which I really loved. The new style has a smaller grid pattern that is not as soft so if you are trying one in a store make sure it is a new model with the foam trim around the edges and smaller grid pattern. I still love my mattress and do not wake up stiff and sore like I used to.
