When I ordered the mattress I was so excited and when it came it was like Christmas. I had such high hopes that each night I tried convincing myself I will eventually love it. We tried to adjust to the mattress but unfortunately just gives us back pain. Also our fault we kept forgetting to submit for a return and missed our window. I tried returning it right away but was told to allow 20 days for adjusting. So after that I meant to submit a return but my life got crazy and I lost track of time which is my own fault. Most we have ever spent on a mattress and so disappointing. I used to have a cheap mattress which my husband wasn't a big fan of so we decided to splurge. He's a firefighter and I'm a nurse we work long hours and could use good sleep. However unfortunately now we both have back pain after sleeping on the mattress when on the cheap mattress I never had any pain. I'm sure it's great for some but it's been a huge waste of money for us. So don't be like us if you buy it set reminders for return dates just in case. I will probably buy a topper somewhere else and see if that helps.

At first I bought the basic twin xL but the mattress was a lil' too hard for me. I'm a quadriplegic and I have pressure issues which could lead to bedsores. Purple sent me an upgrade (Purple Plus) which arrived within a week. The upgrade was a little costly but worth it! The mattress somehow lets me know when I need my position changed, and I normally sleep hot; but with Purple, I'm more comfortable. I would have given Purple 5 stars but the pick-up of the first mattress took nearly a month. My home health aide told me when they picked up the first mattress, they took pictures, and when she asked why, she was told "there's a smudge." Anyway, two thumbs up!

I suffer from sciatica and I had such an old mattress. I would wake up in pain multiple times through the night. . I was wondering if purple would help. Not only does my sciatica feel a little less painful every day, but I sleep like a rock. It took a few nights to get used to it, but after that I started sleeping through the night. This is by far the greatest mattress you can get. Other mattresses have caused my double joints to move out of place while sleeping, but the Purple keeps everything in place without making anything lose blood flow. Definitely worth it if you have joint problems or old injuries.

After researching all of the "out of the box" mattresses on the market I decided to go with purple for its innovative technology. After night one, my boyfriend who had chronic back problems for years, was completely sold. He said that his back has never felt better and he continues to love the mattress everyday (he sleeps on his back). I on the other hand (a side sleeper) took about a month to warm up to it. The bed is very comfortable don't get me wrong, but I think it took me longer to get adjusted to the new material. Now that I'm more used to it I really like it and fall asleep extremely quickly. One thing I was hoping for though was less motion transfer and I definitely still feel my boyfriend moving around during the night. Overall I do feel it's one of the best out of the box mattresses out there.

I ordered my bed on line and a few days later I read that purple offers a 50 gift card to anyone who recommended the bed you purchase. Well I never saw that add anywhere at the time I filled out the on line forms but yet they claim to offer this. A friend just bought a purple mattress and told me I'd love it so I bought it. I contacted purple and explained that I never saw a place to tell them of a recommendation and that they need to send them one. Purple got back to me and said because of the way their system works It is to late! Really ! Funny how they couldn't send a gift card out yet they are capable of coming and getting a mattress if you are not happy with it! Unhappy!

I'm a veteran with disability for my back and for depression. My back and hip pain made it difficult to fall asleep, and that and my depression made it nearly impossible for me to stay asleep. Since I started sleeping on my Purple, I have fallen asleep and stayed asleep better than any time in my life, even before i had my problems. I read a couple of reviews complaining that the mattress was too cold. However, we were without our furnace for nearly a week this winter. The house's internal temperature, by the end of that time, was just below 40 degrees F. On the last night I was a little chilly in bed, but I warmed up by curling into a fetal position, and then slept like a baby. I LOVE this mattress! I just came back and bought a seat cushion too. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is with the sheets. I made the bed with the Purple sheets and spent most of the first night picking my pillow up off the floor at the head of the bed and the blankets off the floor to the side of the bed. After that I have used the Purple fitted sheets but have swapped out the top sheet and pillowcase. Thank you for the best sleep of my life!

We absolutely love the original mattress, we now have three! I order the purple 4 not realizing it was the hardest one, let's say they weren't lying! I called in asked for an exchange and got it. No issues no complaints and had the other donated to a charity of my choice.

I had a queen mattress that was less thank 5 years old, but wanted to bump up to a king. After seeing the advertisements on Facebook repeatedly I decided to start reading the reviews and watching the videos. I'm a scientist...how can I not sleep on a bed that was developed using science? It's way better than the memory foam beds as well as the beds you 'air' up and down with remotes that cost 6K. I am someone that tosses and turns and sleeps on my back and side. And I found that in this bed I don't do that. Also my hip that presses into the mattress doesn't hurt anymore when I sleep on my side. I also don't feel my husband or kids move or get in and out of bed which is a huge plus. I will never buy another mattress, and looking forward to my kids getting out of cribs/toddler beds so I can buy them a purple mattress.
