Matress is great for back pain. The matress protector is aweful and feels like sleeping on plastic. The platform base is not as good as expected either. The base makes noise and doesn't keep the matress in place. It feels almost like a futon instead of a bed. I would recommend the matress but not the protector or base.

OK so here is my week review of the Purple Mattress and Pillow!!! I LOVE IT!!! I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE! I love it so much that I ordered the seat cushion hoping to help my hips as I sit and edit photos and video!!! The only sad thing about it is the price...BUT when you get a big item that is going to be under you for MANY MANY years, you shouldn't find the cheapest...I learned that 10+ years ago when we got our last mattress....My hips AND BACK feel perfect when I wake up... I can lay flat on my back now...Brian(my husband) actually commented that I have never laid that long on my back since he has known me...My back has ALWAYS been trouble for me!!! Do yourself a favor and get one if you need a new mattress!!!! ITS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!

The prices of these beds are pretty extreme. It really is not necessary for these materials to cost this much. But because I, like everyone else that have back, neck and hip problems will do anything for some help with discomfort of a restless and pain free sleep. We will try anything. I have had my purple bed now for a few weeks. At first it was great, but as time to adjust has come and gone I am feeling the pain in the areas I have always had. So as far as the purple bed being comfortable, yes, it is comfortable, cool and better than the rest I have had. I am still paying on a bed that I bought 6 months ago and still have 6 months more to pay. I took the mattress off of it and am using my purple mattress on it. It's an adjustable bed. Overall I will sleep on my bed maybe 3 times a week and in my recliner 4 days a week.

I intentionally waited to write this review until I had several nights under my belt. Previous to this purchase my wife and I purchased tempurpedic products. In fact, 2 months ago we received our rhapsody luxe tempurpedic mattress at our South Carolina home. I was interested in trying something else, so I ordered the purple King. It has not disappointed. The comfort of the purple mattress cannot be beat. Its top layer is soft and comfortable, backed with 2 other layers of foam to give firmness when it counts. I am so invested in this mattress, I have convinced my coworkers and parents to give it a try! Great investment, fantastic comfort! I WILL BUY AGAIN!!!

I've spelt on lots of different mattresses over the year and this is by far the best. Although it took me a few night to adjust, I wake up free of back pain and we'll rested. My job is very physical and has me running around quite a bit. I'm happy I made the switch.

I was so excited when the delivery driver pulled up with that big Purple duffel! The set up was super easy. Literally unzip the bag, cut away the plastic, and the mattress pretty much unrolls itself. I loved that it popped up virtually instantly because I was expecting to have to wait for hours for the mattress to expand as was my experience with memory foam but this was not the case. It was ready right away. Also notable, there was no nasty out-gassing odor as with foam. My husband was skeptical because after I ordered the mattress he went online and read all of the negative 1 star reviews. He said he didn't want to be disappointed and was concerned that it would be too soft for him after a low back injury. Today, he actually said, "I like your Purple mattress. I give it my endorsement." We both a resleeping better. I used to wake up several times a night and once awake have to get up and use the bathroom. Now I'm sleeping until morning and feeling so much more rested. I don't get overheated. There are no pressure points for my joints. I can sleep in any position and be comfortable but laying on my back with this mattress feels like floating. The only thing I would have loved is if the mattress itself had been a solid purple color like the duffel it came it. That would have been sweet! I wanted a Purple mattress, literally, but no way will I send this back!

I love this mattress. We ordered a queen sized purple mattress and was skeptical. We have been suffering from a mattress that promised a lot but sank under the pressure. Literally. My side of the bed sank permanently. My back would be painful and go out often. My neck would also ache, but what is worse I developed nerve issues in my shoulder. Since receiving our blissful mattress all three pains have virtually disappeared. Thank you Purple, Alex

I have only had this bed for less than a month. They say give it at least 21 days before you form an opinion. First reaction was that it is different from other memory foam style beds that I have. It took about a week and then my night of sleep started improving. Not perfect (yet) but a big improvement. If it stays this way for 6 months I would rate it a definite 5 stars. Also, I am a side sleeper. I use to wake up many times to "puff" up pillow and toss and turn to get back to sleep. Now my shoulders seem to compress deeper into the mattress allowing my head alignment with the pillow to seem perfect all night leading to less tossing and turning. This has been the biggest improvement so far. There seems to be a lot less pressure on my hips now. Overall, I am happy.

After struggling with sleep for years, the Purple is a true God send. We have the California King with your wonderful sheets (tried some other bamboo sheets first, and your stretchy ones really are amazing). We also tried a different mattress pad that said it was stretchy since the Purple mattress pad won't be available for awhile and we couldn't believe how much it defeated the Power of the Purple, so we took that puppy off and will be extra careful until we can get the Real Deal. Thank you so much for creating this wonderful bed . . . I feel like a new person!
