I've been using the original purple mattress king size, for just over a month now. As a stomach sleeper, I often had sore backs & stiff necks with my previous bamboo foam mattress. I have none of those issues with the purple mattress. I'm a 5'9 male that weighs 160, and I found that the softness of the mattress is perfect. It leans slightly more towards the firmer side in my opinion, but is still plenty soft & provides the perfect amount of comfort & support in all the right places no matter what your sleeping style. Motion transfer is good, better than most mattresses, but you'll still feel some movement if your partner moves enough. Also, if you're a hot sleeper like me, this mattress does a great job of keeping you cool enough at night & regulating your temperature. You don't need a box spring for this mattress. Any bed frame with wooden or metal slats that are fairly close together (3-4 inches) will hold & support the mattress perfectly. Overall, this is a very good quality mattress for a reasonable price. I enjoy this mattress more than some of the $2500+ Tempur-Pedic mattresses that I've tried.

My entire experience with Purple has been amazing. The ordering process was simple, quick and painless. The communication from Purple and the freight company was also fantastic. The delivery and setup was excellent. Most importantly the mattress is literally the most comfortable mattress we have ever owned. My husband and I had purchased the regular coil, foam, hybrid of coil and foam. We never found any of them to be great and we bought top brand name mattresses. The first night sleeping on the Purple mattress we knew this was the one. We love it and are so pleased with our purchase. Best night sleep in a long time! Pet approved as well...our dog loves it!

This mattress is unbelievably comfortable. The first month is horrible as you get used to the support of the Purple mattress, but now I sleep like a rock every night. When I left my ex, he kept the Purple mattress. After about 6 months, I realized I needed a Purple mattress back in my life...so merry christmas to me. Do your body a favor everyone, and get a purple mattress.

I did a lot of research overall. The marketing and videos for the whole Purple brand were very captivating, however I also dove deep into reviews and compared to several other brands. I decided to go ALL IN on Purple. I thought I was going to be the new Purple mega-fan. Sadly, as much as I wanted to LOVE everything about the brand, I was thoroughly disappointed with everything... Bought the mattress, sheets, (2) pillows and mattress protector.. (and bought it on Black Friday in a bundle so thought I was getting a deal). BEGGED the store to take back the mattress after the first 21 days that they require. I found if VERY uncomfortable.. I also sleep hot and one of the major reasons I was looking for a new sleep set was to help with cooling. I didn't notice a difference at all. The pillows are SUPER heavy (I think 10 pounds). I sometimes sleep with my arm under the pillow and woke up several times throughout the night with my arm asleep. Also, not very comfortable or cooling. The sheets are VERY soft so I tested those out longer than the other products that I immediately moved on from.. Like I said, bought the whole set on Black Friday after Thanksgiving. It's now June.. The pillow cases don't fit right on ANY pillow including the purple pillows they are designed to pair with. They are always twisted around the pillow which just looks sloppy and was annoying and uncomfortable. The bamboo material also seems to accentuate any kind of drool or sweat to make it pop out more than any kind of traditional sheet. I felt like they were always dirty and I was washing them every day. They also seem to "wear & tear" very quickly. The sheets are very obviously more worn with darker discoloration in the areas my boyfriend and I sleep. The mattress protector is fine I guess- can't really mess that up. Just overpriced with the Purple brand compared to any other one that can do the same thing. Overall- disappointed. Luckily they took the mattress back right away but wouldn't take the other items due to the bundle. Luckily sold one pillow online for half the price to someone who knew the brand and knew exactly what she was getting and still have the other one listed on every possible site as it sits in my closet for the last 6 months. HUGE mistake all around.

I watched hundreds of videos on different mattresses. Took dozens of mattress quizzes to tell me what to get, that weren't biased. Ultimately decided to get the purple mattress and pillows. Decided to get the down comforter and sheets as well. Best decision ever. Went from my shoulders and back hurting, tossing and turning all night and never sleeping...to falling asleep quickly, waking up in the same position I fall asleep in, and no pain. Game changer.

My husband has some back issues and our old mattress was shot. We have been on the hunt, trying several mattresses that just didn't work for him. I was excited when he agreed to try The Purple as I have heard great things, and we were both pretty excited. Unfortunately he has only slept on it twice in the first week and both nights he would have to get up by 3am to go to the couch because he was in unbearable pain. Such pain that he refuses to even sleep on it anymore. I like the mattress ok, but I need my husband to not just be comfortable, but to be pain free. So the hunt continues for his unicorn mattress.

I first bought the premier purple 3 bed, very comfy at first the but the grid caused pressure points and I would wake up sore. I have health issues and lots of inflammation so my body is super sensitive. I love the cooling benefits of the grid though and its squishy comfort.....I just needed a buffer on top. So I returned the purple 3 for the purple original (money save for the win) and then bought a temperpedic mattress topper. The bed is perfect for me now with the topper, I absolutely love love love it!! I typically sleep hot but have been very comfortable with this combo.

Great experience with Purple mattress and the platform base. Delivery was super speedy, assembly was quick and seamless, and it is so comfortable. I joke with my friends that I haven't known what a comfortable bed was until getting this mattress. It's a great balance of comfy and supportive. Very, very satisfied with my purchase!

I've been sleeping on the original purple and purple sheets for about 2 weeks now. While it does sleep cooler than my old memory foam mattress, it's not great in general. Overall it feels like sleeping on a regular spring mattress. Not very comfortable. And the purple sheets are awful, they are basically spandex. At least they came free, I would've been very upset had I bought those.

It feels firm. It slept cool for the first night only, my wife still thinks it sleeps cold. I feel like it is getting a little softer but that may just be that I am getting used to it. I wake up with no pain and I really like that! I sleep on my stomach and side, my wife sleeps on her side and back and it still works for both of us. If it was a little less firm it would be perfect.
