This mattress has changed the way I sleep for the better! I usually move a lot and I have a really hard time falling asleep. My husband used to fight with me because of that and since we have the Purple mattress I fall asleep automatically and I'm extremely comfortable and relaxed. I don't move at all! I've told everybody I know about this mattress and to buy it immediately! Thank you so much!

I like that the original is the best price and is just the right softness. I am just over 6' and average weight and sleep side and back about evenly. I've had the Purple mattress for just over a month now and I'm very happy with it. It sleeps cool, but not cold, and vents enough heat to keep me right in the middle temperature wise. The bed is extremely comfortable, but does take some getting used to. When I first lay on the mattress, I felt like I was sliding around. This is just the "purple" part of the bed doing what it's supposed to. After a couple of minutes the bed conforms to your body, but not like a memory foam mattress; this is far better! The bed will give just enough to contour to your body, but not so much that you sink in. This makes it perfect for turning and getting out of bed. I've slept better on this mattress than any other I've had before. I have it on an adjustable base (already had it, sorry Purple) and have had not issues with slipping or moving of the mattress. I've used several other mattresses over the past year in an attempt to find the right one, and the Purple mattress is it! I also have the Purple pillow (prior to the mattress) and it is by far the greatest pillow I've ever put my head on. This mattress won't be for everyone, it does sleep a little firm, but really it falls just on the firm side of center on a comfort scale. Before you consider wasting your money on a certain mattress company that will find your "number", you should consider Purple. It is far superior to that other company, and really, I believe it to be superior to most other major retail brands, and a fraction of the price. Purple has found a customer for life with me.

I was very very excited about getting this mattress but maybe too excited. It is firmer than I was hoping for and I still do wake up with a sore back. I bought this mattress hoping that the morning soreness would be cured but I can't say that it does that. I do however sleep better and deeper then I did on my previous mattress. I just wish it was a bit softer. It would be helpful on the website if it gave a hardness rating on a scale of 1-10. This would have helped me determine a little better whether to get the mattress or not. I am still on my 100 day trial and I'm on the fence whether to keep this mattress or not.

It's an ok mattress. It is really soft so for that it's nice, but with two people sleeping on it it's difficult. We definitely feel each other move all night and since we're both side sleepers we tend to roll into the center together during the night.

We love the bed. Our backs have never felt better upon awakening. However, we have both woken up several times already with numb arms. Because your shoulders don't really sink into the bed (side sleepers), you end up sleeping with your shoulder blade at a weird angle, cutting off circulation. My knees have also been sore a few times because my heels are too light to sink in comfortably.

When my wife and I first got our purples mattress and set it up, we laid on it with excitement and...nothing. We were expected that sink in ahhh feeling that you get when you try out mattresses at the mattress store. This did not happen. The bed is more firm and supportive. After several nights of debating whether or not we like the bed we started to ask ourselves "how do we feel in the morning" and the answer is great. I use to sweat every night and now this no longer happens. mattress is cool, supporting, and comfortable. My wife and I's first opinion of the mattress was due to our expectation of what a good mattress feels like. However, that was the reason we have struggled to find a good mattress. For reference, I have been in a hotel room for 5 nights now and am greatly missing my purple mattress. I would highly recommend.

Have had my Purple 4 mattress since just before Thanksgiving. LOVE sleeping on it. HATE making up the bed as the queen mattress is so heavy. I am a full-time RVer and there is no space to walk around the mattress when changing sheet etc. Would love fabric "handles" on the foot of the mattress so I could pull it away from the wall to change sheets. Will still highly recommend this mattress - just wish it was easier to move by oneself. Ann

I'm 5'7", just under 200#, side sleeper, neck and back pain in the morning. My wife, 5'8", a lady doesn't tell (my guess is 130#), side sleeper, neck and back pain in the morning. The previous mattress was old and in a dire need to be replaced. So far, two weeks in, my wife is loving it and I'm loving it. I was very hesitant at first, did research on 'bed in boxes' for about 3 years (yeah) and the final purchase came down to this and the Brooklyn Mattress. We pulled the trigger on this one and I'm glad we did. FedEx did have some challenges delivering but there was also some snow storms going on at the time. It finally arrived two days later than expected (had to sleep on the couch those two days as the wife and I moved the old mattress out into the garage the morning we thought we were originally getting but can't blame Purple for FedEx). It's a king so moving it was somewhat of a challenge but my wife and I handled it, no problems. Unpacking wasn't a challenge either, however we didn't get the blade they talked about either but made do with a scissors. Unrolling onto the new bedframe we purchased for this mattress was also relatively easy although I think I was more frustrated than my wife for a couple brief moments. I just wanted to lay down. No strong odor, which my wife would have called shenanigans on due to her extremely strong sense of smell, so that was a relief. The mattress seems firm, which would have been another deal breaker for my wife, but after you lay on it, it's like freaking awesome. I have zero problems going to sleep now and waking up I have much less problems with my back pain. I did upgrade my pillow to a different brand pillow and that also helped with my neck pain. My wife's back pains still persist however she claims her neck pains are not as bad and her back pain is not as bad. If there is any negative, it's that my wife says it is a bit chilly - we sleep at 62 degrees at night in southern WI so the trick is layers. She remedied her cold body to using her body pillow again, which she normally uses any ways. I think if threw some flannel sheets on in the winter, she would also be fine. This mattress will be total heaven in the hot, humid days of summer. Overall, would recommend and will probably buy a new one since it does sleep cooler and we have a daughter that sleeps very warm and I'm sure she would love this mattress for the hot summer days ahead.

It was the best decision I have made in 20 years. I absolutely love it. I suffer with14 damaged discs in my back rotating back and forth from my bed to my recliner because I hurt so bad lying down. The Purple mattress has given me the most pain free sleep I have had in 20 years. Thank You Purple!
