I have a sore lower back. I tried Leesa and Purple mattresses. Leesa was pretty hard and seemed to hurt my back more. Purple is soft, but helps my back more. I still have sore back some days, but it's much better with Purple. It's hard to sit on Purple to read a book though due to its softness. Overall I'm happy with the Purple Mattress.

This is my second mattress purchased from purple, and once again, I'm obsessed! I never slept better and my back pain and neck pain is virtually gone. My boyfriend also loves it and prefers to stay at my place for the comfy mattress!! 11/10 always chose purple!

I really liked the mattress from the very beginning. It supported my whole entire body quite well, and I tend to fall asleep on it within a couple of minutes, which use to never happen. It was very easy for me to adjust to the feeling of mattress and I would definitely recommend this mattress to anyone who is looking for a new mattress, or is just looking to get an extremely good nights sleep.

I got my purple mattress when I moved into my new home. It feels good to sleep on a mattress that supports me and my partner without either of us sinking in! We both move around a lot and there isn't a uncomfortable way to lay in any position! It's also not squeaky like spring mattresses. Can't wait to try the pillow next!

We had been wanting to buy a Purple Mattress for a few years but couldn't afford one. We finally broke down and did the payment plan on it. Our last Mattress was a different "ship to your door" mattress - Tuft & Needle Brand - and it was pretty nice. My husband and I both had problems with getting too hot when sleeping, and I could not lay on my left hip because the pressure against the mattress hurt too bad. The way that the purple mattress is made has allowed us to sleep without getting hot AND I can lay on my hip again without pain. We got the mattress protector with it, which does hold a little heat compared to the mattress alone. But we really couldn't afford to not have the mattress protector and risk ruining or staining the mattress. We bought during a deal that gave us free sheets AND THEY ARE AMAZING. Literally the softest sheets I've ever touched. We are so very very happy with the bed and every time we have friends over we have them lay on it - and TWO of our friends have bought themselves a mattress since. It's literally the best bed we've ever laid on and we are so so happy to finally have one! Thanks Purple!

Finally had enough with our old bed. It was a very fancy brand name and we thought it was a 'good' bed. But the support wasn't great and for years I dealt with severe back pain. After three nights on the Purple, I haven't had back pain since. The price point made it worth the experiment, and it paid off. Glad we gave it a try.

It seems like an oxymoron to call a mattress soft and supportive. Usually I would only get one or the other. Bonus, no more night sweats!!! Not sure why we waited as long as we did to get a purple mattress but it is hands down the best investment in sleep!!

I was definitely skeptical about the mattress, especially after reading the Wirecutter review. But my wife wanted to try it because I sleep hot and I was surprised to find I loved it. I wish this was available for us to try in the Purple store we went to, instead we had to find a Mattress Firm that had it (none nearby) or order blindly online. Because we liked the Purple Plus we tried in the store but wanted something a little firmer, we took a chance on it and ended up being very happy. It's just the right amount of squish and firmness for us and it really does keep me cool during the night and doesn't transfer much movement. My wife is sleeping better than ever. It did take something like a week for my back to adjust to the mattress but after that it was totally fine.

After weeks of researching mattresses we finally decided to replace our Sleep Number bed with the Purple Mattress. It really is our best purchase ever. We was a little hesitant when the information said it may take a week or two to get used to the mattress. The first night I slept 10 hours, quite a record for me since 6 hours sleep is a good night for me. No pain in my hips or shoulders. My husband had the same great results. It has been two weeks since our Purple mattress arrived and we love it more each night. We also got the mattress frame, sheets and mattress pad. The advertising is right, there is no squeaking or creaking of the frame and there is a big amount of storage space. The sheets are soft and high quality. They did take some getting used to because the texture is different than traditional sheets but I quite like them. My husband is still getting used to them. The mattress pad is well made and works great with the bed. Since the bed is so different and not really easy to describe we were comforted by The 100 night guarantee. But we are NOT giving up our bed. It is perfect for us and we are happy to tell our friends and family about the best mattress ever.

The standard Purple mattress is a good fit, not perfect, but good. The quality of the items purchased were top of the line. My wife and I love the Harmony pillows. We both are side sleepers. My wife and I agreed the mattress doesn't classify itself as FIRM, SOFT or whatever. However, I found it to be almost perfect, but my wife found it to be uncomfortable. The Purple material in this mattress needs to be 3" or more. We had considered upgrading to the Hybrid 4 inch purple, but we decided not to. My wife found it too expensive to upgrade and find the same mattress firmness. We just got rid of a Sealy Black Hybrid to get a split king. The comfort levels are noticeable, but we enjoy the ability to adjust each side independent of the other. If you have a choice, buy the hybrid and down grade, instead of buying the standard and wanting the hybrid (to get the thicker Purple material). If I had to do it all over, I would have bought the 4" hybrid and see my wife's opinion would have been different (not the cost, she will never spend so much for a mattress). She would only be able to compare the comfort between the expensive Sealy and Purple's best, not Purple's mediocre mattress. My recommendation to Purple manufacturers is produce a standard mattress with a choice of Purple size (2 inch to 5 inch). The Purple material is awesome and is everything the commercial says it is. However, when combined with the other materials in the mattress, it lacks something... our guess was thickness compared to the other materials in the mattress. I wouldn't crush an egg on my mattress, the Purple material alone... maybe. I have very little regret in this investment.
