My boyfriend and I decided to try the purple mattress (queen size, original style) because of the new technology and the 100 night trial. We both do not like the sinking feeling of a memory foam mattress but, as we are both side sleepers, we can't have a bed too firm or our whole body aches. The purple mattress was the perfect solution. There is a tiny bit of a sinking feeling but I feel it more than my boyfriend (I have large hips and that's the area that sinks in). At first I was getting very sweaty when sleeping, but I discovered that was just the low quality sheets I was using. I have since changed sheets and have no sleep sweats. (I received the purple sheets as part of a promotion, but they came in 3 days after the mattress. I will write a separate review for the sheets) The only complaint I have (the reason this review is 4 stars instead of 5) is the weight of the mattress. This guy is HEAVY! There are no added handles to grab and the mattress cover is slippery. But I must add that for being a mattress-in-a-box it was not as flimsy as I would have expected. It holds it's shape very well, even on its side.

Definitely an improvement over our old mattress, but being someone with vertebrae pain and a side sleeper, I could use the mattress being a touch softer. Additionally, a word of warning to anyone getting the mattress protector: It's a REALLY slick material, and feels more like a cheap sleeping bag than a fabric. The squeaky sound is annoying, and I've had softer, more efficient protectors than this, by far. All that aside, it really is a good mattress still. It was easy to set up, and it was nice to be able to sleep on it the same night we received it. I do recommend it, but again, if you are a sensitive sleeper it might be a touch hard on your back. Beware the mattress protector, too :P.

I must admit my expectations for this mattress may have been unrealistic. It had raving reviews, the commercials were "fun", and I had laid on a bare purple grid at a local mattress store... I just KNEW the mattress would be perfect for my spouse and I. We both have back issues and struggle to find a mattress we are both comfortable on. The first couple of weeks were pretty nice... A step up from our sleep number bed... But... As time wears on we are waking up with back pain like we do with every mattress. It doesnt cradle as much as we anticipated and as a usual side sleeper find it puts pressure on my hips leaving sore areas which causes me to roll to my back to sleep. In turn my back seems to be hurting more from sleeping on it. I also had a recent fall on my back so am trying not to "count it out" as just the mattress. We are considering returning the mattress while we are still in our 100 night trial. It is on the firmer side for those who like a firmer mattress and I suppose we need just a little more give than this mattress offers. We have also considered getting a pillow top mattress topper to add a little more cushion to the mattress. We do love that it sleeps cooler than a typical mattress and doesnt have the heat that memory foam does nor is it overly cushiony like memory foam. Overall it is a good mattress in comparison and we definitely recommend it over a sleep number bed. We dont wake each other up with our movements or if one of us gets out of bed. Our weight differences also dont create an issue. With other mattresses my spouses side sags under my spouses weight (my spouse weighs more than I do but neither of us are overly large) and I tend to have to sleep on the firmer edge to avoid rolling into them as I strain my back to stay on my side as my side is higher and slopes down into them. That isnt a problem with this mattress. Ultimately, a little more cusion on the top amd I think this mattress would be a lot better!

I bought the Purple mattress. It shipped quickly and in perfect condition. Turns out the mattress wasn't the best for me, but true to their word, they guarantee the product and will refund your money (after you donate or recycle the mattress). So even though it wasn't perfect mattress for me, this is a great company to deal with.

When I first slept on my Purple bed, I almost had it sent back. It seemed ridiculously firm. But I began to realize my body had never experienced a mattress as supportive as this one. I gave it a second chance, and I've never looked back. Definitely worth the investment.

This bed rocks! I woke up one morning to the alarm on my phone going off. I turned it off and laid my phone next to me on the bed. When I woke up, I couldn't find it... I sat up and looked all around for it and even ended up waking up my girlfriend to ask her if she sees it in the sheets somewhere. Jokingly she suggested it may be under my butt. Sure enough, there it was. She teased me for not feeling it under me while I was looking for it. I told her that I really couldn't feel it. She didn't believe me. So, I offered to let her stick it under her butt and she if she felt it. Laughing, she gave it a try. Sure enough she exclaimed, "I can't feel it under my butt!" This bed is really amazing. I have had some of the best sleep on it that I have ever had.

First impression on this mattress was that it felt weird, and even a little wobbly like sleeping on a water bed. You then soon become accustomed to the feel and softness. I love that it supports all styles of sleeping, and it is the best mattress I have ever slept on for side-sleeping.

The mattress for support is great, the problem is is it's a little too firm. Support wise my joints and back love it. However it's a bit hard and i wake up because my body is in pain. We've almost 3 months now and other than if you sleep for 6+ hours your body hurts, but support is still good.

I don't usually write reviews, but I am so happy with this mattress I want to spread the joy. I have had the bed for almost a year. It truly is an advancement in rest body support. I have never experienced anything in my daily routine that brings me as much joy as going to bed on this thing. Seriously. A coworker recommended it to me, and my wife and I have been so happy with it. She used to have hip and back issues with our old traditional mattress - not with the purple mattress. I'm telling you, when you look forward to the nightly interaction between your body and your mattress, you know you have something special. We had our previous bed for over 15 years and you are really supposed to replace them after 10. We were so used to the grooves in our old bed the new Purple bed seemed way to firm and responsive to begin with. After a few weeks acclimation we are sleeping much better, but our bodies did need some time to adjust.
