After reading MANY reviews, we really had our hopes up. And WE WEREN'T DISAPPOINTED! Thanks, Purple, for helping my husband's back. After 1 night, he felt better. Could get out of bed more easily. Could stand up nearly straight right away. And it has only gotten better. I didn't have the problems he had, but my sleep has improved, too. Have to say, the pillows are weird, but they're helping. Also, DON'T LIKE THE TOP SHEET. Stretchy bottom sheet is nice, but we ditched the stretchy sheet after 3 nights. Kept getting tangled up in it because it won't slide across you when you move. Ended up using old cotton-polyester blend top sheet, and that was much better. Some day I may try to make a bottom fitted sheet out of that flat top sheet. Wish I could buy just a fitted sheet.

I was really looking forward to this bed. I spent about a year researching this and other beds and choose this one because of very good marketing and advertising. The first few nights were great, my wife and I could tell that our backs no longer hurt. After a few more nights or hips and knees began to hurt. I actually had to put a pillow at the end of the bed for my feet to rest on. I attribute this to being a side sleeper. If people are back or stomach sleepers, this bed will probably be great. Also, since getting this bed my wife and I have not been able to sleep through the night.

Highly recommended this bed. It's amazing! My husband tends to toss and turn a lot in his sleep. Our old mattress was so bouncy but the purple mattress is dream! Now he can toss and turn as much as he wants and I never feel a thing or wake up from it. Truly exceptional bed and we've never had a bed as amazing as this one.

I have to say overall that our experience with Purple has been FANTASTIC! The ease of ordering everything and the product itself, I would recommend to anyone. My only complaint about the product is I don't believe that queen is a "standard" size queen. I feel that its smaller than the queen bed we had before. Other than that, I would say that this is definitely the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. I have horrible shoulder pain. This bed has eased a lot of that pain and stiffness. Thank you Purple for an amazing product!

The mattress was a gift for my daughter and her husband. Here is a review from her: We definitely can tell the difference in the cooler mattress. The "purple" bamboo sheets seem to keep it too cool so we have switched back to our cotton sheets. I prefer to sleep cooler so it works great for me. My husband has needed to add extra blankets to regulate his temps. It has taken some adjusting with the firmness. I am sleeping very well and enjoying a cooler mattress. My husband does not feel my movement in the night and is able to get out of bed in the mornings without waking me up. That is a great improvement.

We loved our mattress when we first got it- very comfy for the first year- now that we've had it two years, both my husband and I hate this mattress. We wake up every morning sore and with back aches. Each side is sunken in- we are so disappointed that we spent so Much money on a crappy Mattress. Do not buy!

I loved the Purple mattress for me it was the right amount of firm, very cool and comfortable mattress. Unfortunately, my Girlfriend found it to be extremely firm and uncomfortable as if the purple grid didn't work for her because she isn't 200 lbs like I am and as a result, compared it to sleeping on a table. She is also a side sleeper.

We have tried soft beds firm beds toppers.... nothing has been as comfortable as our purple bed. It's firm and doesn't disturb the other one sleeping- great for us and his shift schedule. Let's just take a moment to discuss the amazing sheets- soft as can be and the elastic on the fitted sheet- all the way around! My sensitive skin doesn't like not one crease on the fitted sheet - makes me itchy ( who am I a princess ?) they stay put and are perfect for comfort and stability. Thanks purple science guys! It's the best!

I may try the ulimate. There are a few problems for me. With the cover on, the pad was too small and ended mid-thigh on my chair. I have super long longs from hip to knee. This actually cut off the circulation to my legs causing all kinds of pain. Next we took the cover off which allowed the cushion to spread out on the chair better, but then my bony butt bones pressed into the holes. Even though it was more comfortable without the cover, it caused my tailbone to hurt. I'm hoping the cut-out in the ultimate along with the smaller squares will work for me. We've decided to not try the bed due to the difference in comfort between having the cover on or off, similar to what sheets would do. I hope this review will help someone else choose the right pad for them.

I have had back pain for going on 20 years and have never been able to sleep well because of it. Just laying on my purple mattress fresh out of the tube I could tell that my sleep was going to be 1,000x better than ever before. I finally get rest! No matter how many times my dog or my child wake me up throughout the night, I wake up in the morning feeling rested and ready to go. My dog and son love it too. I plan on getting my son his own purple mattress and may end up putting one in my guest room as well. The only regret I have is not getting the mattress cover at the same time.
