I really love the mattress! I don't wake up in pain anymore which is awesome. However, I give it four stars because I can feel the little purple squares through my sheets which isn't my favorite. I also don't recommend the original purple mattress for couples because the edges are a soft and there's no springs, but it's perfect for one person.

I received my Purple a mattress and pillow in December after I had foot surgery. It has been very comfortable so far. It is very firm but soft. I Have been getting the best sleep I have gotten in a long time. I am a side sleeper. I do feel like there is a little pressure on my hips in the morning but that could be from wearing a walking cast boot for so long. It is definitely worth the investment though. I am considering getting the adjustable base.

When I first got my Purple Mattress I was a little concerned. It wasn't love at first lay... I didn't sink into it, it wasn't cushy in the way I was used to. But I quickly discovered that these qualities I usually looked for is what was killing my back. I've suffered from sciatic pain since I was fifteen years old. But after thirty nights on this mattress, I have had a normal life! This mattress really does align your spine like they claim. Although it isn't comfortable at first and my back did need that adjustment time, this was the perfect t choice for me. I'm pain free! I'm so glad my fiancé and I spent the extra money on it. We both are in love and will never go back!

The ultimate test of my Purple mattress is after having had surgery. I've needed to sleep and rest on my back for a week and a half now. Though I do get up and walk around, I have no trouble sleeping 10 straight hours on my back or resting/reading in my back all day using a wedge pillow I can remember how sore my hips, neck, back and shoulders felt the last time I was bedridden on my old mattress. Thank you Purple!!

There's no doubt that the purple mattress is a comfortable mattress. The convenience of ordering and having it delivered was great as well. However for the price tag I don't find it to be a product worth keeping or recommending. The mattress I had prior to Purple was half the price and equally as comfortable. Had the price point been lower I would have been far more enticed to purchase a second.

I am a stomach sleeper and ever since we bought out last bed (just 2yrs ago), I couldn't sleep on my stomach any longer without extreme pain in my back. I didn't know what the change was as I had been pregnant when we bought our last mattress; so I obviously wasn't attempting to sleep on my stomach until I delivered the baby. Once I had him, I was surprised to find I couldn't sleep like that anymore. So for the past 2 years I wasn't sleeping well at all. Cue the purchase of our Purple mattress. Imagine my absolute shock when I discovered that first night on the Purple mattress that I could, once again, sleep on my stomach. And it wasn't just a pain-free sleep...it was a deep, comfortable, restful sleep. I woke up the next morning without any hip, shoulder, and back pain. Also, when lying on my back in bed...no pain either. It is so comfortable it's like sleeping on a cloud where all my joints are supported. I am so very happy with my purchase of the Purple mattress and have been telling everyone about it. Thank you, Purple!

Still too new to say... but it is so very comfortable to sit up with my computer. I have switched from a very soft style foam mattress and am having a difficult time adjusting to sleeping on such a hard bed by comparison. This is still in the trial phase. My real issue is my shoulders fall to sleep! So far, sleeping with more than one pillow under my head seems to slightly improve this dilemma. I am also experiencing some new back pains upon awakening. I'm not giving up though. I am giving this a fair adjustment period since I am sold on the idea. Time will tell.

I really want to love this bed. I did a ton of research before buying and really thought this was going to be the one. I have back problems and have had back surgery recently I am only 31. After surgery and recovery the only major pain I was feeling was in bed and I felt I needed a firmer mattress. My husband however needs a softer mattress some we were hoping this would do it for us. So far I am experiencing the same back pain (which is alleviated if I sleep go elsewhere and sleep on a firm mattress) and now hip pain as well. My husband likes it ok but doesn't feel it is that much different from our memory gel mattress we had before. As of now we still are unsure if we are keeping it or sending it back. I really wanted to love it.. I really did.

review many mattresses before choosing purple. my wife is 8month pregnant so she has to sleep on her side. purple mattress really made the quality of our life better. i bought the purple pillow hoping it would be good just like the mattress. very impressive. i wake up with no neck pain now. really a fan of purple. hope they make mattress for babys

Love the mattress a lot. Don't like the frame as much because it doesn't meet the specifications listed on the website. The website says to put the mattress on a frame that has slats no wider than 3" apart; the frame has slats over 5" apart, which created a noticeable decrease in comfort. I ended up filling the gaps with wooden boards. Also, the delivery date for each item kept changing with little to no warning. One day, an item would be set for Friday, then on Friday, I'd get an email saying the delivery would be Monday, etc. This happened with all three items, so I had no idea when I was actually receiving anything.
