Both my husband and I have had back surgery. I have a nerve stimulator in my back and my husband just had his 3rd back surgery. Plus I have had neck surgery. I have to say I though the surgeries failed because I was still in pain every night. Move one way and my back and hips felt good but my neck hurt. Move another way and my neck felt good and my back and hips hurt. We have both been sleeping wonderfully since we got the Purple. My only complaint would be that there should be more padding on top you can feel the inside of the mattress even by taking your hand over it. However, you can not feel it on your body when you sleep. If you are a side sleeper, get either the purple 3 or 4. The original purple is too firm and allows for high pressure on hips and shoulders. Personally, my shoulders are very sore when I wake up in the morning. An up side is the mattress regulates body temperatures well. It is perfect for hot sleepers and is a million times better than memory foam mattresses in that regard.

My wife, while pregnant with our 6th child, started sleeping on our sofa because she just couldn't sleep on our bed. She slept on the couch for about 2 months while I continued to slumber in our bed. This couldn't go on! We missed sleeping with each other as well as marital activities! We needed a new bed. We tried the Purple bed! For the first time ever, my wife is able to sleep well while she is pregnant! I even find myself unable to stay awake much once we get in bed longer than a few minutes. We are both finally getting the sleep we need and catching up on some much needed "us time".

After a good amount of research we decided to take the purple plunge. I'm a firm mattress kinda girl and my husband likes a soft bed. Needless to say we are both complaint free about how well we sleep. This is by far the best mattress I have ever owned and I've fallen victim to the prices of temper pedic and iComfort. We will never go back.

Mattress is high quality, comfortable, not too firm but firm enough. Not as cool as I thought it would be. Don't buy the sheets, they stretch out soon after purchase, you get caught in them. Waste of money. Was the reason I still considered turning mattress until i tried other sheets.. slept better. Sheet protector is worth it. Not sure why it so much better than other ones though...

I was worried about buying a mattress on line but with the guarantee - why not? I have had three mattresses in the last ten years and have never been comfortable. I like firm support, so I was worried about soft the bed felt. But once you get in and settle down, you have great firm support/ First time in 10 years without morning lower back ache. Frankly, I have had the bed for since last week and don't want to get in the morning. Thank you

I purchased this bed in hopes the goldilocks ad didn't mislead me. I have been sleeping on the bed for about three weeks now and I'm thoroughly pleased with results so far. My precious mattress was a temper foam that broke down in only four years of use. I had aching hips and back daily from sleeping on my former mattress. With the Purple I don't struggle to get out of bed. Almost all my joint pain is gone and I know it will get better the longer I sleep on my Purple. Now I just need someone to haul off my old mattress to the dump. Purple for life!

Had a new memory foam mattress. Experienced daily hip pain when waking. Also was hot hot. Researched mattresses, got Purple. Pain went bye bye immediately and hasn't returned. And this mattress is so cool that it's cool! I've never 'loved" a mattress before, but haft say, love Purple. The tech message is spot on.

I purchased two twin mattresses for my kids. They had been using a memory foam mattress and the foam, after 7 years, had started to break down. The mattresses arrived and we set them up. Both kids loved them, the support was better and they really enjoyed the new technology with the grids. Although it took them a bit to get used to them, they both say it is extremely comfortable and may be a purple customer for life. They both struggled with overheating with the old mattresses they had and neither of them have express any concerns about this so far. Thank you for the great customer service and the amazing matress.

I was nervous about buying a bed online having never felt the bed before. My curiosity got the better of me and I'm so glad it did. I loved this bed right away. For a long time I've had a lot of back and neck pain and trouble sleeping. My sleep and comfort have greatly improved since getting the Purple Mattress. I love this bed!
