At almost 55 days with the mattress I still have severe shoulder and hip/low back pain. I am 6'3" and 220lbs, not a small guy but not oversized and I sleep on my side same results on both sides. My wife says it makes her hips that need surgery feel a lot better. So it's almost time to send it back.

Unfortunately I experienced nothing but problems almost as soon as I placed my order. Getting the mattress without the platform first. No white glove delivery. No set up. No removal of old mattress (extra cost to me to get rid of it). Waiting, waiting, waiting. Then when the platform arrives it's the wrong one! Wait, wait, wait, wait some more. It took a month to finally get the platform set up and the mattress put on it. No compensation, no effort to make it right. Would have been nice to send us some free sheets or something. That said, we like the mattress and will keep it. But highly unlikely we'll get another product from Purple in the future.

I don't think I've ever actively made the decision to leave a review on anything before in my life. But let me tell you about this bed. I have EDS (joint problems) and back problems, meaning I somehow need a bed that is both very firm to offer back support and extremely soft on my joints at the same time. Pillow-top firm mattresses were not cutting it. Everything hurt. Except this mattress, upon which I have the best sleep of my entire life. I genuinely thought I was just a "long sleeper" and someone who struggled to fall asleep and needed 9-10 hours of sleep a night. I struggled to wake up in the mornings and was drowsy for the first hour or two. Now? I actually sleep way LESS on Purple, but not because I'm struggling to stay asleep. I just fall asleep IMMEDIATELY (no hour or two of adjusting), and then sleep so soundly that I wake up 7-8 hours later with absolutely no alarm feeling completely refreshed and awake. I honestly do not have much money and this felt like a huge purchase but I bought myself 2 more hours in my day every single day, did you know it is possible to literally purchase time? I would know because I did it. This is all on the Original, none of the fancy newer models, it's just that good of a bed. I want to live my entire life in this bed, put it on wheels and drive it around town so I never have to leave. I want to personally hug every last person who participated in inventing this bed and offer them veggies I grew in my garden (I do not have a garden but I would make one for the purposes of this.) Thank you.

The purple mattress is the best investment i've made in my life. I have hypermobile type Ehlers Danlos, which means I very easily dislocate joints, this would happen to me on all of my old mattresses: from the classic spring/coil mattresses to the fancy ones that you can set to your specific firmness. The purple doesn't do that. I used to wake up with multiple joints dislocated DAILY; now only every once in a while something will be dislocated, but that's usually from having slept in a strange position. my pain is greatly lessened and I sleep so much better now (according to my fitbit I sleep a full extra hour on the purple than on any other mattress). i loved it so much I convinced my sister, in laws, and some other family members to buy one of their own.

I purchased this bed in hopes the goldilocks ad didn't mislead me. I have been sleeping on the bed for about three weeks now and I'm thoroughly pleased with results so far. My precious mattress was a temper foam that broke down in only four years of use. I had aching hips and back daily from sleeping on my former mattress. With the Purple I don't struggle to get out of bed. Almost all my joint pain is gone and I know it will get better the longer I sleep on my Purple. Now I just need someone to haul off my old mattress to the dump. Purple for life!

Took a few weeks to get used to but once my back got adjusted to the bed it's been awesome. Sheets are awesome! The only downfalls are delivery times could be better and updated site inventory would be nice. I tried to order a mattress cover and the site said sold out but when I sent an email customer service was like give us a call and we will get out for you. I checked the site next day and all of the sudden you can buy the cover so I guess that means their customer service is pretty good. I should have complained two weeks prior when I originally tried to order it.

Our Purple mattress arrived by Fed Ex and was packaged small enough to fit inside my car so I could take it home. It was heavy but not unreasonable for 2 people to carry inside. I loved how quick and easy it was to unwrap and fill out. 10 minutes tops and I could have gone to sleep after unwrapping. Very comfortable! My partner and I did have a few nights of adjusting to the Purple mattress but it is so nice once you get used to it. My partner sleeps hot but with this mattress he has much less issues with overheating at night. I enjoy it very much and will recommend all friends and family in need of a new mattress. LOVE IT!

My husband and I researched for two years; finally I decided I had to make a decision, and it was a good one. We both LOVE this mattress. I was really concerned that he wouldn't like it, but it has made an amazing difference in how we both sleep. I would recommend this mattress to anyone who would listen. I've had a traditional mattress for decades, and two years ago I tried a very good direct-ship brand foam mattress. It was honestly a toss up between a Purple and this other brand. It felt great initially coming from a 12 year old traditional, but even a few months in I noticed myself waking up in the middle of the night with shoulder pains from sleeping on my side. Enter the Purple Mattress! We got one for our guest room and I've slept on it for about 10 nights, but already there is a huge difference in how I sleep. No more shoulder pain. When I lay on my side, the magic sponge sleep thing just absorbs my shoulder but supports the rest of my torso. Really neat science stuff. Wish I'd tried it two years ago.

After having the typical experience of someone who watched the videos online and said I didn't need expert installation, once the bed was all set up, inflated, and had bedding put on, I sat down. I was immediately disappointed. I sank way too low, but I had already put the old mattress outside and it was raining, there was no turning back. A few hours later I decided it was time to go to bed and I climbed in. It was completely different than sitting! My weight was evenly distributed, by joints were supported, and it felt like heaven. I slept hard that night, and haven't had much trouble falling asleep since I got it.
