My boyfriend and I have had our purple bed for 4 nights, and we absolutely love it! Not only is it the most comfortable mattress either of us has ever slept on, but the customer service we received was above and beyond! Our sheets and mattress both arrived a day ahead of schedule, and our platform base arrived 2 weeks ahead of schedule! Overall, Purple gave us an excellent experience and we have already highly recommended the company to all of our mattress-seeking friends!

This is an amazing mattress. My first thought was "It feels like I'm laying on jello!" It is just soft enough and just firm enough at the same time. It fits the needs of both my husband and I at the same time! You just have to try it, it's like none other!

This mattress is amazing. Big claims and take the that with a grain of salt. I really really wanted the Purple 3 but I just could not afford it after moving and buying a home by myself. That mattress seemed perfect and after trying a Casper hybrid and nectar premium I was very skeptical about trying another mattress in a box. I just could not afford the 3 after moving so I went with the normal old school purple classic. After just two nights the mattress has fixed all the pain that the other two former mattresses has caused. I don't necessarily love the mattress laying here watching TV but I wake up with zero pain and feeling refreshed. I think this is something the 3 could help with but again just couldn't afford. I would definitely recommend this mattress to anyone looking for a budget mattress that just couldn't find a memory foam mattress that didn't work.

My husband and I bought this mattress a little more than a year ago, shortly after getting married and moving in together. He sleeps deeply and restfully pretty much on any surface and under any noise or light conditions, so no complaints on his part. I however, have insomnia, so achieving restful sleep takes a lot of tweaking of my environment, and it also doesn't help that I have back pain due to a herniated disc on my lower back, which is why I was excited about getting this mattress. I've always preferred firm mattresses because the soft ones cause a lot of pain in my back since they sink inwards and provide no support. This = restless nights. But the firm ones weren't perfect either, because while my hip and shoulders would make contact with the mattress, my waist would end up floating and it was kind of an awkward position. So all the advertising with Goldilocks and the "just right" mattress really spoke to me, I figured the Purple mattress would be ideal. But after a year and a half of sleeping on it, I can't say I'm pleased with my purchase, and I really regret it because it was very expensive and I can't afford to change our mattress. The main problem is: for my body type, it doesn't work as advertised. The largest part of my body is the hip and butt area, and that area tends to sink into the mattress, therefore not aligning my spine. If I lay flat on the mattress WITHOUT a pillow, it seems like it -could- work... but then my neck is floating unsupported, causing neck and shoulder pain. Back pain? No. Neck pain? Obviously. If I use a pillow that is firm and thick enough to support my neck (not super thick, only enough to sit between my neck and the mattress), it ends up also lifting my head enough that it raises my upper body along with it, therefore causing my hip area to sink even more than it already was (because again, it's the largest part of my body), therefore making me sink into the mattress just like soft mattresses used to. It's almost like a reclining position, but this downward posture puts a lot of pressure on my disc and also makes it so my waist often wakes up a little numb (I'm guessing because of lack of circulation from extended contact with the mattress? Not sure). Neck pain? No. Back pain? Horrible. I've also tried using a squishy pillow, smushed it around to get some support under the neck, placed it so that my head doesn't rest as much on the pillow so as to not add enough height that it messes with the alignment of the spine like the previous pillow did... that squishy pillow just isn't firm enough to support my neck. Back pain? No. Neck pain? Absolutely. And I've tried every other combination of soft plus firm pillow possible, with no success. So every night I go to bed and have to choose which kind of pain I'll have that night, pain on my lower back, or pain on my neck. In addition to not being able to afford a new mattress, I also can't afford to try every super advanced, $40 pillow on the market, in hopes that at least one of them would work. So yeah, my husband loves it, no complaints, but I personally wouldn't recommend it because my body type did not align with the mattress as advertised. Might've been "just right" for Goldilocks, but not for me. Lastly, as for the supposed cooling effect and airflow of the mattress, neither of us have experienced anything of the sort, even sleeping with the AC and the fan on, and with nice sheets made out of this sporty cooling fabric. But there's two more variables to take into account 1) our bed has drawers underneath it, so no airflow, 2) the floor is carpeted (can't help it, apartment). So yeah, no cooling at all, but it may be partially due to our environmental conditions.

I love my new Purple Mattress. I am getting such quality sleep. It is truly life-changing. Even when I'm only able to get four or five hours of sleep, I am sleeping so soundly that it is making a huge difference. Thanks for making such a great product.

Since sleeping on the Purple I have noticed my smartband is recording longer deep sleep cycles and higher percentages of heart rate recovery. I feel more refreshed and notice less times I wake up at night now. I don't wake up to move around due to pain or experience circulation issues anymore. My chronic back pain is much easier to manage now as well, one of the main reasons I got Purple to begin with. The firmness is enough to fully support yet soft enough to prevent circulation cut-off or soreness on shoulders or hips allowing for a more relaxing and restful sleep. The quality and amount of sleep is so much better and this IS the best purchase I have made in many years, thank Purple!

I have always used an inner-spring mattress and as a no-pillow, stomach-sleeper have found foam to be too suffocating. I decided to give the Purple a try. The first time I laid on the bed a pain shot from my tailbone up my back and into my neck (I have trouble with my neck anyway). I thought, "oh no". But after that, I have found the bed to be extremely comfortable and I look forward to sleeping on it every night. I am also finding that I sleep more on my back and side (as my chiropractor prefers) than I used to and that all positions are comfortable. Lastly, while I still see my chiropractor every night, my neck has been a lot better than it has been in years. Happy with my Purple, and hoping it holds up over time.

I was hesitant at first to purchase a mattress in this fashion until I came to grips with the fact that many of my purchases are made "product unseen" and online these days. Plus, it is truly risk free. Once I pulled the trigger, I can honestly say we are thrilled with this mattress. Soft and supportive in all the right places, high quality, "cool" to sleep on versus other foam options which seem rather hot, and the service was fantastic. I regularly encourage our friends to lay on our bed and try and it out and everyone's first reaction is just a huge sigh of comfort.

I used to wake up with back pain everyday, but after just a couple days with purple, it has basically vanished. My knees don't hurt as much as they used to, and now I never wanna leave my bed. I was skeptical at first, but now I recommend it to everyone.
