We really enjoy our Purple mattress. It does take a bit to get used to the feel. However, I noticed that the first morning after sleeping on our Purple mattress that I didn't have the usual back or hip pain to which I was accustomed. I truly like waking up in the morning and not needing to "walk out" the stiffness and pain. I have recommended Purple to several people.

We purchased the purple bed, sheets, and pillow and it arrived hastily in good form. To our pleasant surprise, our sleeping experience has exponential increased, each night blessing us more and more with a luxurious and inimitable rest. A comfort that knows no boundaries; a relaxation that is conducive to brain health and mind wealth. To say the least, Purple has been nothing short of pleasurable!

I was a bit sceptical at first and did a lot of research, watched youtube video review, read reviews, etc. I decided to try it out for myself; ordering was easy, I received my mattress in under a week, easy to set up and all my bedding fits. I suffered from lower back pain and hip pain and now that I've been sleeping on my mattress for over a week, I wake up pain free! I can't believe it! The mattress is not too firm and not too soft, it's just right. I highly recommend at least trying it out for yourself; I don't think you will be disappointed!

The mattress arrived like a huge log on our porch. I was shocked how heavy it was, and it looked like it was going to be about the same thickness as the Purple Pillow. We kept unwrapping, and unwrapping and it popped open like a jack in the box!! And it is the about the same thickness as a "normal" mattress. This was something that my daughter had been begging for, and she got it for her birthday. We have all had naps on it, but she is the only one who has slept on it all night, and she loves it. We are curious enough to want to try the next step up, and should be doing it soon!

For years I was using a mattress so uncomfortable a lot of my nights were sleepless and sweaty. My first night on the purple mattress and within minutes I was asleep and stayed that way! It was the best nights sleep I have had in a very long time! Plus I no longer have back and shoulder pain!

I was hesitant about buying a mattress online at first, but after reading multiple positive reviews of the Purple Mattress, I decided to take the risk. I'm happy to say that I will now add my voice to the chorus! I have never slept so well. I used to have daily upper and lower back pain, which I thought was from my very mild scoliosis. I no longer feel this pain. I look forward to going to be every night because once I lay down my body feels immense relief and I am able to get a full nights rest. I also suffer from general anxiety disorder, so sleep can be quite tricky for me. I've found that I've been able to fall asleep faster and longer with this mattress. If you're on the fence about making this purchase, I hope this review is a sign that you should do it!!

A friend of mine told me at this mattress during my search to find a bed that would help with insomnia. I purchased it and it worked immediately on putting an end to all sleep issues. Loved it so much that I purchased a second one and also purchased the pet bed which my dog loves! This mattress is magical and it is worth the investment.

I've never been happy with a mattress I've purchased. Regardless of price tag, they all start out fine but compress and dip quickly. And no... I'm not a big or heavy person, I am however, a very precise and exacting one. I've returned a top of the line Sleep Number mattress because it was filled with more hollow promises than it was filled with air. I woke with worse back aches than when I went to bed. I enjoyed a lovely black label Beauty Rest, for about 3 months. Then the top padding started to compress and cause uneven back support. Now comes the Purple... My young kids found the spring open packaging and sample squishy purple grids entertaining. The first two or three nights sleeping on the mattress felt weird. It was like no other mattress I'd ever slept on. It took me a while to realize that it was because I'd never been used to such even and comfortable back support. It is by far the most comfortable and supportive mattress I've ever slept on. I'm extremely pleased I took a chance on purple. My improved quality of sleep and reduced back aches are a direct result of my new purple mattress. I'm 5ft tall and prefer a soft mattress, and I love it. My husband is 6ft1 and prefers a firm mattress, and he loves it. Amazingly, a one size fits all. Thank you Purple!

I replaced firm 10 inch foam mattresses with the new purple Mattresses and so far its been the best for me. I still have some pain in my left hip when I sleep on my side. Not as bad as it was before. When I'm on my back my hip doesn't hurt, however its hard for me to sleep on my back not because of pain, just can't sleep that way. So I guess I would say this mattress so far is the best.

I ended up having to return my king size Purple, sadly. First, the positive: customer service was excellent, and the mattress was cool and innovative and I could see how it would be awesome for perhaps someone younger and more fit/slim than myself or my husband. Night one with the mattress was good, we both felt appropriately supported, etc. But by day four or five, my husband - who is a big guy at 6'4" and a muscular 250 lbs - was sinking right through the entire mattress and sitting on the box spring when he got in bed to read at night. We did a Princess and the Pea test and I slipped my finger between the mattress and the box spring while he was sitting on the mattress..he could clearly feel it. Needless to say, sinking through to the box spring was not an ideal situation for him, so we had to return the mattress. The return process was easy, if a bit long. I've noticed a LOT of people have questions regarding the return process so I will detail it here: we contacted Purple by phone to tell them about our issues with the mattress and request a return. A few suggestions were made regarding ways in which we could mitigate the problem, but none of them would have fixed the primary issue, so Purple told us that we would receive an email with instruction for returning the mattress. The email came immediately and contained four options for returning the mattress (basically boiled down to find/contact a charity to which to donate the mattress oneself or have Purple do it for you). We chose to have Purple find a local charity which would accept the mattress. They found one in a few days' time, which was great, but unfortunately the charity could not retrieve the mattress for three weeks. We waited, the charity came and took the mattress and left us a receipt, which we emailed to Purple, and our full refund came within a few days. All in all, an easy transaction and Purple lived up to their promises, which we really appreciate. TLDR; I feel like the SmartComfort Grid is super cool, and has enormous potential, but that the mattress would benefit from having more HD memory foam or latex underneath the polymer layer. We tried it out, it didn't work for us, we returned it for a full refund. I'll keep an eye on this company and if they come out with a mattress with a deeper/more dense support layer underneath the grid, we might even try it again.
