We have slept on a TempurPedic for the last 14 years and have loved it, so when I saw the ad for the Purple bed, and heard a couple reviews from several friends who purchased one, I decided it was time for a new bed. When my Purple mattress arrived and was left at my door by the awesome delivery guys, I couldn't wait for my teenaged son or my husband to get home, so I mustered all my strength and drug that puppy into my bedroom. Anyone who knows about the TemperPedics, knows they're fairly heavy, but that guy was off my king-sized bed frame faster than a diaper on a toddler. Getting the Purple mattress up onto my bed frame took a little more effort, luckily I read the handy-dandy instructions on the slick cover BEFORE I removed it! Once I finagled that bad boy up onto my bed frame (we have a captains bed that the main platform sits about 36 inches off the floor), I used the super awesome 'letter opener" that comes with the mattress to remove the cover and that the mattress uncurl on its own. Figures, my luck it was upside down, but not to worry, I wasn't going to let that get me down. I folded it in half and flipped it like a burger and all was right with the world. After all that effort, I had to just lay down a rest a bit, you know, to try it out and make sure it was as awesome as they say it is. Of course, it smells 'fresh from the factory", so I let it air out a fe hours and put on my sheets (without my usual mattress pad, per the instructions) and made my bed so it was all nice and pretty. The husband had no idea that I switched mattresses! That evening, we both hopped in to retire and my husband looked at me with a strange face and asked if I did something to the bed, that 'something was different". I admitted to the new purchase, he shrugged his shoulders and we fell asleep. Honestly, it was a great sleep from the first night, however for the next couple of days, we both woke up a little bit sore in our lower backs. He was sure it was an awful mattress and I should return it immediately. I explained to him that even if we have bought a spring mattress, we need to sleep at least 30 nights on it before we can really decide if it is a 'good" mattress. He begrudgingly agreed and since then has never complained. In fact, when he goes on business trips and comes home, he is SO happy to get back into this awesome Purple mattress that we now claim. When I say it takes a bit of adjustment, first it has to do with not using a mattress pad so that the sheets allow the bed to work the way it is designed. That allows you to initially feel every single little 'honeycomb-like" portion - almost like little octopus suction cups, caressing your entire body, but not in a creepy way - more like in a personal-masseuse-kind-of-way! Now, I don't even feel the 'individual" portions, I just feels wonderful to lay back in bed every evening as I drift off into slumber! :) PS- it is worth every penny, but if you don't like it after having it for a couple of weeks, you can always return it (but something tells me you won't!)

I've jumped in with both feet into the Purple experience. Bought the frame, sheets, mattresses, protectors, and pillows. The products are all stellar right down to the packaging. In one area I thought an improvement might be possible and that was in the direction the mattress was rolled. Presently the mattress unrolls so that the gray side is up - every time, requiring us to flip it to the white side up. Now it may be that rolling the mattress in the opposite direction isn't possible due to the construction of the mattress layers and then, well, leave it alone. That's one small hiccup. I just bought another frame for the guest room, so get ready for more orders to follow.

We love Purple so much that I recommend to everyone I know & have bought 4 different mattresses from them over the last 2 years. Plus my family absolutely LOVES their sheets so I don't even look at other brands of sheets anymore. Not to mention the dog beds and chair cushions we have. Every chance we get, we buy a new Purple product

My husband and I have searched high and low for the perfect mattress for a long time. Mattress shopping has to be the worst thing in the world! Can you really imagine sleeping all night on something you laid on for 2 minutes in a store?! Then you haul the thing home to find out you hate it. The fact that this was delivered to our door and there was a no hassle 100 day trial we had nothing to lose! It has been the best purchase we have made in a long time. No regrets here!

I am a big man. I dent mattresses. The grid technology helps disperse my weight. I do not sink into. This like memory foam or pillow tops. It is a firm mattress for someone my size. I am 6'1 and 240lbs built like a line backer and all my weight is in my hips and shoulders. That is where the dents always are. Hopefully this one lasts. But I like it so far and no more back ache. My wife didn't like it at first. But after 2 weeks she grew to love it. She was fixated on the grids.

The regular twin foam mattress was marked as a 5-6 on the industry mattress scale of soft to firm. My last mattress was too hard...this mattress, unfortunately, is too soft. (Do I sound like Goldilocks? :) Sadly they don't make a twin hybrid-with the coils added and I don't know if a full-size mattress will fit in my small bedroom. The mattress is well made, the sheets and mattress cover are very well made. Plus the cushion seat is great - I wouldn't get the double cushion because you sit to high up in a chair.

Feels great, I no longer wake up feeling like I got beat up at night. It's soft but firm but supportive and feels great! It's not as cooling as I expected it to be. I'm a hot sleeper and still wake up sweating. But my main concern is my back, and so far so good!

After having back pain for years, I decided to finally get a better mattress. Since the first night I slept on the purple mattress, I have had no back pain. I would highly recommend this to anyone, and the ability to pay through Affirm made it possible for me to buy it. Thanks!

My best friend recommended Purple Bed. After sleeping on his for a night and testing it out, I was sold. I recently made a big move for work and was in the market for a new bed. While I was skeptical to make such a big investment, I can honestly say this was one of the smartest purchases I've ever made. Statistics say you spend 1/3 of your life in your bed-so why not make it a comfortable bed? I am so happy with my Purple Mattress. It makes waking up for work in the morning hard. I would like to note, I did extensive research on other competitors before making my purchase. Purple, hands down, was the best value for the money.

I've never been happy with a mattress I've purchased. Regardless of price tag, they all start out fine but compress and dip quickly. And no... I'm not a big or heavy person, I am however, a very precise and exacting one. I've returned a top of the line Sleep Number mattress because it was filled with more hollow promises than it was filled with air. I woke with worse back aches than when I went to bed. I enjoyed a lovely black label Beauty Rest, for about 3 months. Then the top padding started to compress and cause uneven back support. Now comes the Purple... My young kids found the spring open packaging and sample squishy purple grids entertaining. The first two or three nights sleeping on the mattress felt weird. It was like no other mattress I'd ever slept on. It took me a while to realize that it was because I'd never been used to such even and comfortable back support. It is by far the most comfortable and supportive mattress I've ever slept on. I'm extremely pleased I took a chance on purple. My improved quality of sleep and reduced back aches are a direct result of my new purple mattress. I'm 5ft tall and prefer a soft mattress, and I love it. My husband is 6ft1 and prefers a firm mattress, and he loves it. Amazingly, a one size fits all. Thank you Purple!
