My wife's had severe back problems resulting from a car accident and was looking for a bed that would help alleviate some of the aching pain in the morning. We settled on trying out a Purple mattress after her parents ordered theirs and loved it. The trial period was a purchasing factor because of it didn't work for us we could return it. The delivery was super awesome as we received automated updates on the delivery day of both the bed and the platform. We received our mattress about two weeks before the platform and I would say that was a bit of a headache but once we paired the mattress with the platform it's a distant memory that they didn't come together and we don't even care anymore. Cloud 9. That's how I describe sleeping on this mattress. It's so comfortable! We don't sink into it, we are comfortably suspended in it and it's really amazing! My wife loves the fact that she's not bounced around when I get up at 2:30 am for work or for a bathroom break. The platform is VERY sturdy and makes no noise no matter what kind of shenanigans we engage in *wink*wink We love our king-sized Purple mattress and platform and have no intention of returning it. Ever. In closing I would like to add that initially I took issue with the price as I'd never paid more than $300 for a box spring and mattress combo. The comfort and rest we've experienced with this is worth every penny we paid for it!

When my wife and I first got this mattress we were happy. Seemed like a good buy. Our last mattress was a disaster and anything was an upgrade from that. After awhile we were walking g up feeling like we didn't really get much sleep. Both my wife and I consistently wake up with numb limbs. Im a bigger guy at 260 but my wife is 100 lbs soaking wet so this bed isnt performing for anyone within a reasonable weight. We both are developing shoulder problems. I can barely get to sleep anymore because of the pain. My wife is having issues with her hips and shoulders. She wakes up angry everyday now. Do you know what it's like to wake up next to an angry women everyday? This bed is ruining my life. This bed is the worst we've ever slept in. Were both young and in good health but this bed is making us feel old and out of shape. I love the marketing but take it from me... This bed is the worst. Looking back I should have known from the way they oversell this product. Its a bed... Not a Cadillac.... Tone it down. I would ask for a refund but I think I'd get more satisfaction watching this thing burn in my yard.

I was so excited when the delivery driver pulled up with that big Purple duffel! The set up was super easy. Literally unzip the bag, cut away the plastic, and the mattress pretty much unrolls itself. I loved that it popped up virtually instantly because I was expecting to have to wait for hours for the mattress to expand as was my experience with memory foam but this was not the case. It was ready right away. Also notable, there was no nasty out-gassing odor as with foam. My husband was skeptical because after I ordered the mattress he went online and read all of the negative 1 star reviews. He said he didn't want to be disappointed and was concerned that it would be too soft for him after a low back injury. Today, he actually said, "I like your Purple mattress. I give it my endorsement." We both a resleeping better. I used to wake up several times a night and once awake have to get up and use the bathroom. Now I'm sleeping until morning and feeling so much more rested. I don't get overheated. There are no pressure points for my joints. I can sleep in any position and be comfortable but laying on my back with this mattress feels like floating. The only thing I would have loved is if the mattress itself had been a solid purple color like the duffel it came it. That would have been sweet! I wanted a Purple mattress, literally, but no way will I send this back!

My husband begged for a Putple mattress for years and I always told him no because I couldn't try it before I bought it. Well I finally caved in and bought one and have been converted into the Purple family! The mattress is extremely comfortable even though I'm not a fan of foam at all. I would highly recommend this to my family and friends!

I delayed writing a review until a full three months had passed by even though I noticed the results within the first two weeks. I have a bad back stemming from a motorcycle accident when I was in my twenties. The decades have not been kind and I have had terrible sleep for years. We tried memory foam and expensive air mattresses and I only had limited relief. With the Purple Mattress I have significantly less back pain overall, but specifically less hip and shoulder pain that would wake me up in the middle of the night. I am very pleased with the purchase and would heartily recommend to anyone looking for a new bed.

We had originally purchased our Purple mattress about a year or so ago, however, when the sides started to sag, the company sent us a new mattress for free! We have fallen in love with it all over again. I'm a tummy sleeper, and even amidst the woes of pregnancy, I slept soundly. My husband is a side sleeper, and unfortunately(?) he now sleeps so soundly, he hardly wakes up for work in time! Good for him, maybe bad for his boss. We will always highly recommend this mattress to anyone who has an ear, and wants to listen to us gab over a bed... Yes, it really is THAT life changing. Do yourself a favor, do the thing. Get the bed.

Why did we wait so long, that seems to be the real issue. From the first night We slept in the mattress it has been unbelievable. I easily fall asleep and I stay asleep no waking up with pains in my neck. My husband and hisWiggling foot no longer keeps me awake because I can't feel it.Things are always so much better when you can get a full nights sleep, just take the plunge and buy the mattress you won't regret it

I've had my Purple for a year and a half. Im single and a side/ stomach sleeper. The sheets got a small hole within a couple months, then several holes that grew over time. They are stretchy and cool but the rubbery grid if the mattress will eventually tear them up, as well as any normal sheets you try to use. This mattress is HEAVY and at least when I bought mine, has NO handles. If you sleep in the same spot night after night, you will need to rotate the mattress every few months to prevent an imprint of your shape making a lump there. Hard to do when you have no grip on the mattress. It also slides fairly easy on the Purple base, which is good when rotating but not good when you have to readjust it to the base by yourself with no handles. The mattress itself is comfortable, does give support in a firm way but does not hurt my knees when stomach sleeping. When I attempt to sleep more than 7 or 8 hours, I do have back discomfort and sometimes hip discomfort. Overall it's a good purchase but I'm not sure if I will continue with Purple for my next mattress. The thick seat cushion with pelvic relief has been a lifesaver in my office chair. Worth the money.

The first night on the purple mattress was alright. I wasn't adjusted, but it felt comfortable, enough. At the end of two weeks, I was waking up each morning stiff and sore. I've always had back problems, and the new mattress seemed to be exacerbating the problem. I decided to go online and call for a return. When I got to the site, I saw the request from purple to give it 30 days. I thought it was only fair, and I could give it another two weeks. After one more week on the mattress, my back problems had melted away. I haven't felt this consistently good in years. I don't know what the difference might have been between week 2 and week 3. Perhaps I just needed to get through an adjustment period.

Warning! This mattress will spoil you! I have been sleeping purple for over a month now and I am so happy that the advertising and reviews were spot on. I am a side sleeper and always woke up sore at my hips and shoulders, not anymore! Thank you Purple People. Recently I took a camping trip and could not sleep very good because I was not sleeping Purple! You guys need to make a portable mattress! Thank you again for a wonderful product that has helped me actually get a good night's sleep.
