My honest review of the Purple Mattress (standard): We've had the Purple mattress for just over a month and we are very happy with it. I wish we would have bought one years ago! It is so comfortable and we both love the feel of it (partner is a side sleeper, I am a stomach sleeper). I feel like I have been sleeping much better. We also purchased the Platform Bedframe and are very happy with that as well. A standard boxspring cannot fit up the stairs in our house, so this was perfect (and easy to put together). ALSO, the sheets are the best ever, we will be ordering more!

There are tons of Pros for this mattress but likewise for me at the very least there are alot of Cons. First off I would like to say that this is just my experience and that this mattress may be perfect for you but given my existing medical issues (Bradychardia, Circulation issues, Rheumatism, Muscular disorder, Asthma, GERD, are my conditions) I am having to work very hard to make this "work" for me and that everyone I talked t through the buying experience has been more than awesome. One of the best things about the mattress is that it did not smell in the least bit when I opened. It. This is my first mattress that contains memory foam and I have been holding off on buying one because all of the mattresses (aside from this one) that I have seen stink to high heaven. This one does not smell although opening the item was a chore given the video said to use the cutter provided so that it would not cut the mattress but it did not come with one so I had to have a couple of people come to my house to help me pull it out of the sleeve and gently try to cut it out of the wrapping. This did not go well. It does tend to conform around the hip and back area really well which is both good and bad. Your torso naturally is heavier than your legs and a lot of the weight is centered around your hips but I noticed that when I lay my head seems to be "downhill". My feet are higher than my head while I am laid on my back (this is that whole torso heavier than your legs thing). So I had to use pillows to prop my head up high including the purple pillow which left my head at a funny angle almost chin to chest which really hurt my neck just to keep that strange hanging upside down feeling from coming on. As an example, imagine laying head down on a playground slide for a little while. Now, I would like to not that I am a larger guy I am 6 ft 250 lbs so this issue may not even be an issue for lighter people. Now, on that same note when your feet are now higher than your heart and you have heart issues, circulation issue, rheumatism, and muscular issues or just any of the above it may cause issues with swelling in feet or at least it did for me because your legs will not sink in and will be higher than your heart. Another issue along the same lines was the fact that stomach acid had made its way to my throat from the "downhill" style laying. The last issue was trying to get up. After about 3 hrs of trying to sleep I finally got up and went to lay on the couch which was not alot better but helped. The only issue was now having been nice and cushioned by the mattress it was very difficult for me to get up. You really have a muscular workout trying to get up and add that with my already existing arthritis and it was a task. Now, I would like to mention that a lot of these issues could be solved if you had the reclining base for the bed. I really love the people at Purple I think the mattress is absolutely great for most others I just wanted to give you my impressions that I feel may be important for people who have certain disorders or problems and I am sure alot of these problems are existent on other memory foam mattresses that are far inferior to this one. I hope this does help and if you have any questions I would just ask the sales team they are very nice. As for me I wished I had, had a place to store my old inner spring mattress and had not tossed it when I sat this one up but there was no where to put it. As for what is next, I am not sure I may try to buy a wedge to keep my torso higher and see if sleeping closer to the edge will help me get up if not I am not sure what I will do.

After a few weeks with our Purple Mattress my wife and I have been very satisfied. We have both been sleeping very well. I no longer feel like I have spent several hours getting beat up when I wake up and No longer have a stiff sore shoulder when I start my day. I have and will continue to recommend Purple even after such a short period of time.

Anything that I can say positive about my new Purple mattress is an understatement. My husband and I have have all kinds of beds and NONE fit us like this. It gives only where you need it to providing perfect support. Pillow? I don't even need on this bed: It's that good!!!

We received our Purple bed in September 2016 and LOVE IT! We would normally never order a mattress online but were really sold by all the positive comments, etc. It is very comfortable. Best mattress we have ever experienced! We have told folks they should give it a try!

Sleeping on purple for 2 weeks now. We have found it to be a comfortable mattress and sleep really well. Prior to getting mattress I hurt my back and have been in considerable pain since. While on the purple my back feels great and I don't want to get up. If only I could stay in bed all day but thats not possible but it does give me an excuse to lay down again thru the day on my purple.

I came home a week ago to find a gigantic purple tampon in my driveway. It took about three weeks from my order date to arrive. The Fed-X guy must hate us, because this thing is big, heavy and awkward. I'm guessing he rolled it off the back of the truck, flipped the bird at my house and took off. Thankfully I have a two wheeled cart that allowed me to get this king sized beast up the steps and into our bedroom. Once there, I was able to roll it into place and slice open the bag easily enough. Mine came out upside down, so maybe it works better to place it at the foot of the bed and roll it out toward the top. (Or maybe I just had it backward.) My wife and I are not in full agreement on the comfort of the mattress. I have slept like a baby from the first night. She struggled for the first few days, but seems to be sleeping much better a week later. She also does not like the lack of edge structure we had with our former (interspring) mattress. The thing I like best about the Purple is the "Dead" feeling when you lay down on it. I find it VERY calming and I fall asleep within minutes, every single time. It seems to be both soft and supportive, something I cannot say about our 20 year old, very firm, Serta mattress. However, the Serta did hold up for a long time. (Something we will find out later about the Purple.) Although I am very physically active, I have had multiple knee surgeries and my hips generally ache in the morning. I have not been able to sleep under the blankets on our bed for quite some time. I have spent years sleeping on top of the bed with a light comforter to alleviate my knee pain, frequently with a pillow between my legs. I am now happy to say I am sleeping comfortably UNDER the covers with no ill effects. The bed seems to cradle me so I feel no unwanted pressure on my hips and knees. My wife is happy to see I have joined the rest of the world "between the sheets". I also find that I am waking up well-rested. I wake more easily, and do not have the stiffness in my knees and hips I had on the old mattress. Come to think of it, I have not had any shoulder pain in the last week, despite having ramped up my workouts significantly...so there is that as well. I have noticed that my wife seems to wake more easily as well, although she remains skeptical about the Purple. I too would like to see a bit more edge structure to the Purple when sitting on the edge to tie a shoe, but my primary focus was on finding a restful night's sleep and I have most certainly found the Purple to excel when it comes to quiet, peaceful and restful sleep. With my mattress purchase, I also bought the bed frame, mattress protector and the sheets. The matress is super supportive without being too firm and the accessories are all very nice. The only reason I didn't give this bed a full five stars is because of the heat. I suppose it is because of the different materials that it is made with, but the bed tends to hold in heat a little more than my Serta did. To fix that, I just replaced my comforter with a thin quilt and I sleep like a baby. All in all, great bed. :)

We have had the bed for 2-3 weeks now and we are really enjoying it. It definitely took me some time to adjust to it. The first night was a little rough. After that it was okay. But maybe 5-7 days in and my back is feeling good and sleeping great. Wife only had 2-3 days adjustment. Wife is a side sleeper and this is great for those hip and shoulder pressure points. Was a little disappointed at first because I thought it would be amazing right away (rather than taking some time), but we do love it and are glad we purchased.

We had a Sleep Number bed that gradually 'sunk' in the middle. It was destroying our backs! I did lots of research on online mattress sites and ended up choosing Purple because of the flexible, supportive grid system (plus: it's purple!) Our new Purple mattress is flat and level, and feels so nice and supportive. We're very happy we switched!
