Only downside to this bed is that I couldn't afford one of the new purple beds at the time of my purchase . I purchased the original purple bed after having back pain from my old bed and needing a larger one since getting married. Took about a week to get used to the bed, and now a month in I'm sleeping great. It's pretty much impossible to describe the way it feels. Save up for the one you want. You will not be disappointed.

Great mattress but I wish my whole family didn't want to sleep on it too :-( Almost every night my son and dog make their way into our bed. Because of this, I have no room and end up sleeping on my son's twin so I don't cramp up. So, take a good long look at what size you get. You might have to go bigger based on the gravitational pull this mattress has on others. My problems aside, this mattress is AWESOME! I love initially laying down and instantly feel cradled by the first (Purple) layer. I have never slept on my stomach comfortable until now. I'm mostly a side sleeper but occasionally I sleep on my stomach. I'm not a pro at accurately commenting on the firmness but I'll say it's soft on my body and stiff enough to keep me from sinking. It's been about 3 weeks now and everything feels great. Once I get up, the mattress resets and doesn't leave any indication that I was there. You can move around without upsetting your partner. For those who read this far, this mattress is very supportive during the "Birds and the Bees." If you know what I'm saying. You won't be dancing all over the place or experiencing joint pain/fatigue. No springs to pop or poke you in the knees and such. No feeling of rug burn either (Well that may depend on your sheets or how National Geographic/Discovery Channel you get).

I feel relief when ever I go to sleep on my purple bed. I'm very happy that I bought it. The customer service person was friendly and seemed to know how to do her job well. I told her what I needed and she gave me exactly what I wanted. She didnt try to upsell me on something bigger or suggest things I wouldnt need. I really hate that when sales people try to get you to buy more than what you need as it reflects their commision but I feel that the goodwill she exuded pays off because Im going to tell everyone of my positive experiance and thats gold to some people so. Keep up the good work. And no Im not getting compensated for this endorcement

I have friends that have a purple mattress and they love it. So I thought I would give one a try I have had it for three weeks now and I am a side and back sleeper mostly side sleeper. And I am having some uncomforting issues in my neck and upper back. I am so hoping that giving it a bit more time that I might adjust to it. My friends felt great the first night but not me. I will give it a bit more time and will give an update. One more thing the mattress seems to be a bit on the firm side. I weigh about 160 lbs I think if it was a little less firm it might be a little better.

I ordered the king frame, king mattress, mattress cover, pillows. I am slightly above average size. I am sleeping better and having less hip and back pain than I had before. I'm sleeping better for sure. I do feel some slight sagging in just one month, like it's not as firm as the non sleeping side. I am not sure if it will continue to sag more or this is just the initial wearing in process.

I'd previously been waking up with an achy back, having to do morning stretches to work out the kinks. The first night sleeping on the Purple mattress, I noticed that my back felt great, and I just got up without any discomfort. My husband, also, was having problems with back spasms, and has not had any back complaints after our switch to the Purple. The feel of the mattress is very comfortable - feels super soft, squishy if you kneel on it, but lying flat you feel nicely supported. Also, it doesn't feel like it traps heat like foam - I'd say temperature wise it's about the same as our previous standard mattress. I was a little worried that the edges would be too squishy and would collapse if you sit on the edge, but actually it's not a problem - less firm on the edge than a standard mattress, but is fine to sit on. I was also worried about the weight, since I read so many people comment on how heavy it is. But we didn't have any trouble getting it on the bed, and I'd say it's no heavier than our previous queen size mattress, which is quite heavy. Though I can imagine it would be hard to move around a lot due to the less structured materials. To sum up, we're really happy with this purchase, it's been worth every penny.

We purchased the basic purple mattress and we will never go back! I have a desk job and have had back pain for a few years. After 1 week of sleeping on this my pain has eased and it's a tough decision leaving my bed in the morning. I know that sounds cliché but I'm so happy we decided to upgrade our mattress.10/10 would recommend Purple!!!

After weeks of researching mattresses we finally decided to replace our Sleep Number bed with the Purple Mattress. It really is our best purchase ever. We was a little hesitant when the information said it may take a week or two to get used to the mattress. The first night I slept 10 hours, quite a record for me since 6 hours sleep is a good night for me. No pain in my hips or shoulders. My husband had the same great results. It has been two weeks since our Purple mattress arrived and we love it more each night. We also got the mattress frame, sheets and mattress pad. The advertising is right, there is no squeaking or creaking of the frame and there is a big amount of storage space. The sheets are soft and high quality. They did take some getting used to because the texture is different than traditional sheets but I quite like them. My husband is still getting used to them. The mattress pad is well made and works great with the bed. Since the bed is so different and not really easy to describe we were comforted by The 100 night guarantee. But we are NOT giving up our bed. It is perfect for us and we are happy to tell our friends and family about the best mattress ever.

After a few weeks with this mattress I have mixed feelings. For overall comfort I would give it a five out of ten. But for quality of sleep it's a 10 out 10. We sleep very soundly, and rarely wake up through the night. I'm not saying that it is uncomfortable, it's just not exactly a cloud.

I'm pretty sad about this. The fumes from the mattress are so noxious that every single day that I wake up I feel sick. I've tried airing out by not making the bed and removing all coverings. Which reminds me, I hate the fact that someone scribbled initials that read MAD on my mattress. Would a little fabric, showing who inspected have really thrown the budget?. I toss and turn, wake up with lower back aches. I'm still trying to give it a chance because I really, really want to like it but it's actively working against being liked. In conclusion noxious fumes and grafitti bring it down to a one star.
