After reading reviews we ordered 2 of the twin xl for our king adjustable bed. I've had 2 back surgeries, after sleeping on my mattress for about 3 weeks I needed more than the 3 to 4 hours of sleep I was getting. We both felt like we were laying on top of the mattresses but not laying in even our old bed. Everyone sleeps differently so this wasn't the mattress for us, it happens and that's okay. That being said, I do wish Purple would train all their staff not to constantly interrupt their customers when they are talking. I experienced this every call and it's just rude to do to someone. Give your customers a chance to complete their own thoughts would be nice, then say something.

I have always hated memory foam beds, the smell and heat was always a turn off for me, but I was in so much pain from my standard mattress that I knew I needed to try again. Purple was the answer to my pain. It took a few nights for all of the bad bed posture years on my old mattress had created, but after the first week I could already tell a difference. I have been able to sleep the night through. I don't wake up in pain every morning anymore, and I don't regret my purchase at all.

I have enjoyed this bed tremendously so far. Our silly u-shaped cotton sack hindered me from a good night of sleep. This bed is great. Granted, a piece of plywood with some cardboard on top would have been better than our bed; however, the technology Purple uses really works. You can feel the grid support and give in necessary areas, translating to no pain however I sleep. While it takes about a month to get used to the bed, I was able to drop into REM at least once a night after the first week, one time more than usual. This may be due to partner insensitivity through the mattress (she uses the bathroom 38 times during the night) or perhaps Purple is really just that good. Either way, I approve!

We bought the purple premier 3, and I do have to say it does take some getting used to. It is hard to describe this, but it feels strange to have a mattress give so much support, yet be a little soft at the same time. Usually mattresses this firm would have you waking up in pain. Not the purple! I do have to say, I have not slept pain-free in years, and my hips, back, and neck would always be stiff and painful upon awakening. I gave up years ago sleeping on my stomach, without my degenerative disc disease acting up. With this mattress, I am able to sleep on my stomach and and halfway on my stomach, again. I never thought this would be possible, and thought it was just my 40+ year old body. It turns out it was our horrible, old mattress, and not me! We heard nothing but good things about Purple from several people, including my chiropractor. Yet, we were a little wary slapping down so much money on a mattress. This mattress is expensive, yes. But, to wake up pain-free is priceless, in my opinion. Customer service was top-notch. It took several weeks for our mattress to be completed, (due to covid) and customer service stepped up to the game and made it right. We were not expecting that, since customer service from most places (except here) is lacking. Oh, and the pillows! And, the sheets! We never would have spent so much on pillows and sheets, but they had a special where they threw in a pillow and sheets for free, and I am glad they did. I have never had a more comfortable pillow, and the jersey sheets are the smoothest jersey you have ever felt. After trying them, if our current ones ever wear out, we will think nothing about slapping the $$$ to buy more because they are that good. Thank you for a wonderful experience, Purple! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new mattress. Go try out the various models before purchasing, though.

I've tried them all, Sleep Number, Tempur-Pedic, Sealy. The Purple is night and day different. I'd always wake up with an aching back from the others or get way too hot. From the first night both my wife and I felt like we had slept well, and it just kept getting better. We sleep wonderfully now after years of crappy sleep before. When we stay at a hotel we immediately miss the comfort of our Purple Mattress and joke about how we can't wait to get home to it, and at the price it's an absolute bargain. I'd happily pay x10 for the quality of sleep we now get. Thank You Purple, you've made us happier and healthier...

I can fall asleep almost as soon as my head hits the purple pillow. Everyone in my house has a purple pillow. It's honestly the best combination since pb&j. Keep up the good work. Hoping to one day upgrade to a purple 4. The purple2 will definitely do for now. Thank you!

The only thing I would change is the policy regarding receiving a defective mattress. I sleep up in a loft so it was no easy task to get a heavy, rolled-up king-sized mattress up there so I can't even imagine how difficult it will be to take it down since it's unrolled now. I noticed that a part of my mattress was deformed so I sent pictures (as proof) and an e-mail to customer service. The customer service was very helpful but only offered one option: send a new mattress. There were no other options so I had another mattress sent which I will now have to wait to use until we move into our home (about 1 year from now). I would have MUCH rather had a full or even partial refund so I could keep the slightly deformed mattress and just buy a new one when the time comes instead of having to store and extra king-sized mattress in my home until it can be used. Other than that, I am liking my Purple mattress!

I really wanted to love this mattress. Any time I sleep mainly on my stomach I wake up with back pain. If I'm on my side or back it's great. Unfortunately I'm primarily a stomach sleeper. My husband however really likes it. The mattress is on the firmer side, which is not my preference, so if that's what you're looking for I think you'd enjoy it.

I'm 5'7", just under 200#, side sleeper, neck and back pain in the morning. My wife, 5'8", a lady doesn't tell (my guess is 130#), side sleeper, neck and back pain in the morning. The previous mattress was old and in a dire need to be replaced. So far, two weeks in, my wife is loving it and I'm loving it. I was very hesitant at first, did research on 'bed in boxes' for about 3 years (yeah) and the final purchase came down to this and the Brooklyn Mattress. We pulled the trigger on this one and I'm glad we did. FedEx did have some challenges delivering but there was also some snow storms going on at the time. It finally arrived two days later than expected (had to sleep on the couch those two days as the wife and I moved the old mattress out into the garage the morning we thought we were originally getting but can't blame Purple for FedEx). It's a king so moving it was somewhat of a challenge but my wife and I handled it, no problems. Unpacking wasn't a challenge either, however we didn't get the blade they talked about either but made do with a scissors. Unrolling onto the new bedframe we purchased for this mattress was also relatively easy although I think I was more frustrated than my wife for a couple brief moments. I just wanted to lay down. No strong odor, which my wife would have called shenanigans on due to her extremely strong sense of smell, so that was a relief. The mattress seems firm, which would have been another deal breaker for my wife, but after you lay on it, it's like freaking awesome. I have zero problems going to sleep now and waking up I have much less problems with my back pain. I did upgrade my pillow to a different brand pillow and that also helped with my neck pain. My wife's back pains still persist however she claims her neck pains are not as bad and her back pain is not as bad. If there is any negative, it's that my wife says it is a bit chilly - we sleep at 62 degrees at night in southern WI so the trick is layers. She remedied her cold body to using her body pillow again, which she normally uses any ways. I think if threw some flannel sheets on in the winter, she would also be fine. This mattress will be total heaven in the hot, humid days of summer. Overall, would recommend and will probably buy a new one since it does sleep cooler and we have a daughter that sleeps very warm and I'm sure she would love this mattress for the hot summer days ahead.

I ordered a Queen sized Purple Mattress. I am usually a side sleeper but sleep in all positions. I have spinal stenosis and used to wake up every morning with extremely tight lower back pain. Since I started sleeping on my Purple Mattress, I can honestly say I haven't woke up to any pain or stiffness at all! The bed sleeps nice and cool and I find myself sleeping all through the night. I love this mattress. Now I'm just dreading an upcoming trip and have to sleep on a hotel bed LOL!
