We have only had our mattress for a couple of weeks and I can already tell a huge difference in my sleep. I can lay in bed and not hurt. I am overweight and I have issues with pain in my hips and back. In my old bed I could barley get up in the morning because of the pain in my hips and back. When I was in my mid 40's, the only bed that provided sufficient back relief for me was the Tempurpedic. Despite the "sleeping warm or hot" aspect of memory foam at the time, it served me well. I have been sleeping on my Purple mattress for about a month now. The bed I had before wasn't bad, or so I thought. Now I wake up with fewer kinks in the morning. And waking up feeling stiff seems to be gone altogether. Which is really nice. Heck there are even mornings when I can't even tell that I've been laying down. It's something a guy could get used to. The other thing that I have been pleasantly pleased with is how cool the bed is. I am an exceptionally hot sleeper. But this mattress seems to prevent me from sweating through the night. Of course the true test of this will come in the summer, but I have high hopes. One thing that isn't really a complaint, but kind of is, is how the mattress smells. When I first unpacked the mattress it was noticeable throughout my bedroom. And was quite distracting when laying upon it trying to go to sleep. But now after a month the smell throughout the room has dispersed, but when laying on the mattress it has not. Of course I'm used to it now. I just wish that I didn't have to be used to it. Overall I am happy with the mattress.

We love our new mattress! Had a tempurpedic for ten years that we loved so were hesitant to try anything else. This mattress is so comfortable. We got the sheets as well. I have gone through 3 other "big name mattresses in the last year and a half..wasted a ton of money..horrible back pain and stiffness every morning..due to a number of issues but the mattresses were not helping....then a friend suggested the purple so I did my due dilligence and read up on your product. with a no hassle return policy I thought...best offer yet....so I gave it a try!!! Heavy thing when delivered..thankfully my neighbor was out walking his dog and helped me get it in the house!!! set it up and sat on the edge and thought uh oh.. I am sinking..is this going to be too soft? But then laid on it and instantly I heard angels sing!!! Perfect!!! I set my base to a zero gravity and didn't need to move the rest of the night!!! Well, I did just to see how side lying felt, but I was just comphy were I was....The best I can compare the feeling to would be boyant...like laying on jello..supportive yet gentle!! that waffle matrix pattern must be the ticket!!!! This thing is insanely comfortable. I love it. I'm about 150lbs and my wife is around 130lbs. We are both side-sleepers. We got the regular purple mattress, and it's been perfect. It's a little firm for your lighter parts, and like a pillow-top for your heavier parts. I can't recommend it enough.

Let me preface my review with this: my husband and I have lived near the Equator for a long time before settling in the Upper Midwest. And our bodies adjusted to a "cold" night being around 74F inside the house. So while the makers of the bed claim it is "neutral" in regards to heat, and others indicate it is pleasantly cool, we have found it to be COLD, even after 3 weeks.I will explain how we cope with that factor later on. But we LOVE how it feels and how we sleep because: 1. I have had major chronic pain in back, hip, neck and shoulders off and on since about 1999. I finally found some diet and structural correction that was working, but the practitioner told me he couldn't fight 8 hours a night on a bad bed (my old mattress). Within a couple days, my structural correction held and has held for the last three weeks. The guy told me to only come back if I hurt. I HAVEN'T GONE BACK. 2. We travel for work a great deal, and of the many types of beds in different parts of the world and in different hotels and homes, this is by far the most soothing for our aching tired bodies and most restful. 3. I have limited mobility and I've learned that a comfortable matress is a necessity. I did a lot of research before deciding to buy the Purple Mattress and it was the best decision I have ever made. This mattress is not only the most comfortable matress I have ever slept on, it keeps me cool and comfortable no matter what sleep position I'm in, I don't wake up like I used to in the middle of the night, and I don't feel like I need to constantly change sleep positions. The bed was really comfortable and I got great sleep. Sometimes felt like my shoulders weren't aligned though as they weren't "melting" into the mattress like the rest of my body. I'm a side sleeper with very odd positions so there's only so much a mattress can do.
