I wish I could make commission off the amount of referrals I give. Slept the whole night for the first time in a long time. We've had the bed for a couple of months and still love it. I didn't have any adjustment period but my wife did for a few nights. The thing is a beast to get upstairs alone but I managed.the mattress is hard to explain but it's soft but very supportive. It's our new normal and I look forward to it daily!

My husband and I have had our purple original for 3.5 years. We purchased it with the metal platform (when it had a life time warranty). We are both over weight and easily put 450+lbs on this mattress every night. This mattress feels the same as it did on day one! Before this mattress, my husband used to wake up in the middle of the night with back pain and it would take him hours to go back to sleep. Since Purple came into our lives, he goes to sleep, almost as soon as he lays down, and sleeps through the night, waking up with no pain. When we first got it, it seemed a little more firm than we were expecting, but after a week, we were used to it and now we get sad when we have to travel and sleep on a different mattress. Purple needs to do a partnership with some hotels (Please!). We initially loved the metal platform, it was squeak free and the underneath storage was wonderful, until about 2 years, then it became squeaky with every movement. When we contacted purple, they were "sold out" of the frames, so sent us the basic adjustable frame(No massage or fancy features, just a remote and basic movements), at no extra cost, though this got rid of our extra storage space, it is a decent frame. And the customer service was top notch. All in all, we our in love with our mattress, even after 3.5 years and plan to be Purple customers for life.

I purchased the purple mattress because my daughter has it and we were very comfortable sleeping on her bed. The mattress itself has been comfortable. However, a neighbor who also bought the purple mattress told me that purple was picking up their old mattress it not the box springs. I asked purple to pick up our old mattress and they said they don't do that. ??? Suggested I call the Salvation Army or 1-800 got junk. Why offer the service to some but not all?

We really like our purple mattress. It does take some getting used too, its like a very firm memory foam mattress. Takes maybe 3 to 5 days to getused to it. Much less expensive then a memory foam mattress of equal size. Also, the dog rolled on it multiple times to show its approval (it has a double coat and didnt snuggle too much before this).

This bed is amazing pure and simple. The fact that it really is a goldilocks mix of hard and soft to create a bed that is just right makes it hard to explain what this mattress is or does to friends. Encouraged by a new home purchase the wife and I decided to buy a bigger mattress than our past queen sleep number. We are glad we chose Purple. For me a stomach sleeper it can always be hard to find a mattress that doesn't hurt my back (given disc compression problems) Purple fit the bill. I'd ussualy describe my wife's experience here but she is pregnant and therefore biased towards being uncomfortable in bed. However she does say that she has felt more comfortable on Purple than our old sleep number.

My husband and I love our mattress! I have always loved super-firm mattresses until now, but the utter comfort when lying down has won me over and now I can't stand any other mattress! He is sleeping better as well. Problem is, our 3 cats love it too! They just glue themselves to the bed all night long and won't move!!!! We need a separate cat mattress for them!

The first couple weeks it was really hard to get comfortable and fall asleep. However, within the first week, for the first time I can remember, I awoke without back pain. My husband still is not in love with the mattress but he's finally used to it as well. It remains firm and cool. Overall, I'm pleased with this purchase.

No more blues when waking up having slept on the new Purple memory foam mattress. It is quite firm, which you want, because memory foam is known to break down after a couple years. The cushy foam topper is just that, and the fabric is smooth and gentle to the touch. NO restless nights unless my Pug can't sleep. The downside is, you don't want to get out of it. I bought an adjustable bed frame which is perfect! The last memory foam mattress gave me such a lower back ache during the day, and this one does not. I'm pleased with this purchase.

This mattress gives quite a bit to direct pressure but stays firm if it is spread out. If you are young have back problems are a back sleeper I think you would like this bed. Two things that are a must 1) Buy the Stretchy Sheets 2) Do not use a Mattress Pad (use the one Purple sells. I am older and have joint pain and so I found this mattress to be a little too firm. Also small women don't weigh enough to sink in and so it may be to firm for them. When I was younger I believe I would have loved this mattress but not at my age now.

Decided on the purple based on its claim to relieve pressure points, and the excellent reviews. I'm a back sleeper who suffers from lower back pain and sciatica, I haven't been able to sleep on my back due to lower back pain for years. Ive tried spring mattresses that claimed to be back pain friendly, and was last sleeping on a memory foam mattress, none let me sleep the whole night through without pain. I ordered the original purple mattress and platform base, which arrived quickly and was super easy to set up. First night on the mattress I slept the whole night through on my back and woke up with no pain! Ive had the mattress for a few weeks now and I'm loving it! My husband who is a stomach sleeper likes it as well. He says its hard for him to get out of bed in the morning because he is so comfortable.
