We've had our purple mattress for a couple years and the mattress is fine. I like higher thread count sheets and they do not stay on this mattress. So, I had to purchase the Purple sheets. They are like a t-shirt material and kinda stretchy. So all night long I'm pulling the fitted sheet out to try to smooth it out and they are thin, so you can feel the grid underneath. We tried the entire sheet set, but the top sheet just bunches up and is impossible to keep up with all night. I buy the sheets I like to use for the top sheets and pillow cases. Then I have to buy the expensive (expensive because the quality isn't there and I only use the fitted sheet) Purple sheet so the fitted sheet will stay on the mattress. We have to replace the fitted sheet pretty often, because it doesn't wear well. Final annoying straw was this week when I received another set of Purple sheets. I ordered white and it didn't say anywhere on the site that they were discontinued. So, I get whatever color they wanted to send me and then I find out the white was discontinued. Returning things is always a pain, so I'm just keeping them. Bottom line, I wouldn't order the mattress again. I don't know if my sleep is better or not, because I'm constantly just messing with the sheets. For the price you pay for the mattress, you would expect not to have constant frustration.

It's a pretty comfortable mattress. Personally, I prefer the temperpedic that I had before, because it seemed more supportive and I don't like that the Purple mattress transfers motion. However, the cooling nature of the Purple is amazing and that's one of my husbands biggest complaints at night. I think I am just very picky and the best is definitely comfortable. If you have skin that reddens easily with touch, you will likely wake up with your entire back covered in a waffle pattern (my husband does every morning) but it's kind of hilarious and obviously not harmful. I personally wouldn't buy this mattress again but I think it's fine depending on they type of sleeper you are.

For the past 17 years I have only slept on temperpedic beds. I thought about the purple bed for a while. I talked to my brother in law about it so much, that is the bed he surprised his wife with! I am not much of a risk taker, so about six months after they got theirs, I finally got one of my own! Not only did I get the bed, I got the base (which I love!!! Not sure how we survived with out it befor!), and the sheets! It did take a week to adjust fully. But I am so pleased with the purchase! The sheets are like nothing I have ever experienced, but I have a weird obsession with them now! Next I think I will need to invest in the pillows!

We traded up from some version of Tempur Pedic to the Purple base, mattress, and sheets. Our previous mattress was probably 6-8 years old. The base is great. It's light and easy to set up, as long as your feet and legs fit in the little openings so you can reach the connection points in the center. It provides a solid, stable base for the mattress, and makes zero squeaking or rattling sounds. The sheets are awesome. Soft, smooth, stretchy, just the right weight, what seems like huge elastic around the fitted sheet so it doesn't come untucked at the corners. Highly recommended. The mattress is heavy. Like, really heavy. They are not kidding when they say you need a helper. We had to adjust our bedskirt after getting the mattress unrolled on the base and I thought we were going to have to rent a crane. That being said, it's comfortable and doesn't get hot like the Tempur Pedic did. We are actually able to use our fancy, heavy duvet to sleep under instead of the lightweight blanket we've been using for years, just because the mattress stays cooler. I am a light, side sleeper, and I tend to toss and turn all night because my shoulders and hips get sore. I was hoping this mattress would finally give me a good night's rest, but alas, I still toss and turn because of sore shoulders and hips (although it's mostly my hips now). My wife is a heavy sleeper, and she enjoys the mattress but says it isn't a significant improvement over the previous one (other than being cooler). Since we needed a new mattress anyway, I'm happy with the Purple as a replacement, but I'm disappointed that it wasn't the life-changing upgrade I'd hoped for. A good night's sleep still eludes me, unless I give in and take some sort of sleeping pill.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this mattress and it did have really high scores and reviews. However I found it wasnt much better than my old foam mattress in offering support or sleep quality. I also have a large sleigh bed and the purple mattress was too thin to fit the frame right which means I would need to buy a thicker boxspring to raise it up another 3-4 inches. For me it wasn't worth the money and I will return it but for others switching from an old spring style mattress maybe it would be night and day.

To be honest with you in the beginning I never really thought this mattress is going to make much difference but come to find out after sleeping in it for a few nights and then one month I noticed that my back pain is going away I would say about approximately 80 percent. I would say that is definitely worth it

I was anxious to receive my bed as I had read a lot of the great reviews and questioned the consistency of them, I also read some bad reviews and became stressed all the more. However, after receiving my bed and lugging the super heavy tube up three flights of stairs I've been sleeping like an angel. The bed is brilliant and truly unique, give it a try, you've nothing to lose!

Great mattress when you first start using it. But only expect it to last about 2 years until the foam starts to break down and sag. I will say Purple was great about honoring the warranty and replacing the mattress with almost no questions asked. Hoping this replacement will last longer, but not expecting it to

I've had this mattress for almost a month now and I love it. My wife was skeptical at first, even got mad at me for purchasing a mattress I had not tried out or could test out at a store. Now she LOVES IT! She is a believer and we are both enjoying our bed. No more body aches for me, and no more waking her up at night when I get up to drink something or use the bathroom, it's GREAT!. I had aches and pains at first hoping that it will pass ,because my "Old Mattress was not for me". After 60 day's I realize that this mattress design is not for me. I shift and sleep on my side , back and front. I have HOT SPOT while sleeping on this mattress.
