I had surgery (March 2019) for two herniated discs. My surgery gave me immediate pain relief, and over a few months my sciatic pain diminished. However, I still had persistent pain throughout the day and often when I would first wake up. My wife and I thought a solution would be to try a new mattress. After a lot of research we decided to go with Purple, and could not be happier. After sleeping on it for just 2 weeks, my back has felt the best it has since for over 4 years. I am excited to see if my back pain continues to get better. My wife said she has also had relief in her hips, legs, and feet after sleeping on the new mattress.

I expected this to be great. What we got was just an average. When we read the reviews I didn't read the good reviews I read all of the bad reviews. The one constant that I saw was about people who are over weight. Both my husband and I are over weight and for us it's not the best in the world. I still wake up sore just not as much as I was before we bought the mattress. Yes, we followed the instructions and use the purple sheets it just still is not great comfort wise. It is not something I will send back because of all the reviews I read it is horrible to try to send back and you don't actually get to send it back you have to donate it and have proof that you did before they will refund your money and for us it just is not worth the hassle. The one thing I can say that was as we expected it to be was cool. When you put the purple sheets with the mattress it is very cool which is great. If I had to guess I would say this mattress is amazing for people that are not over weight like my husband and I and then would be worth the money. My husband is a combination sleeper and I am a side sleeper.

I have been sleeping on a subpar mattress for years and knew it was time to do something about it. I was a bit skeptical about ordering a mattress online, plus let's face it, it's weird to think it would be delivered rolled up in a tube... I am thrilled to say that it was totally worth the money and the self doubt that accompanies ordering a mattress online! No more aches in my back when I wake up, no more tossing and turning at night - job well done, Purple People!

I've had my Purple mattress for about a month now. So far, I haven't been able to figure out what all the hype is about. The sleep cool technology isn't that good. I was cooler sleeping on my Sleep Number bed. At this point, I'm seriously thinking of returning the mattress.

We have slept on our purple for 2 weeks now and are pretty happy with it so far. Not sure how will it will hold up over time, but so far so good. The smell was pretty intense at first, but has dissipated entirely. Would recommend this bed and we are enjoying it so far!

First off, the mattress feels great. All pressure points are gone, neck pain is reduced, and my wife sleeps through the night even though I still roll around. You NEED to have someone carry it with you. It is very dense and heavy, but not impossible to move. It opens very easily if you follow the instructions, just make sure you have it in the location you want - it's pretty hard to move later. It really is ready to go within minutes of unwrapping. Even with it on the floor, we could tell the difference. The Purple gel cushions you and eliminates pressure points. I have even stopped using a pillow because there is so much support. The foam could even be a little thinner, but there is a lot more room to absorb and shock. I don't necessarily sleep better yet, but I sleep deeper. My wife would wake up when I would roll over but now she sleeps through. Some have complained that "the gel doesn't go all the way to the edge," but a square mattress would be weird, so it really is fine. Maybe the foam could be a tiny bit softer, but it is good how it is. I can't imagine that the 10 year warranty will be an issue, but customer service was quick and courteous, so I would not expect that to be any difference. Great mattress, but you can't move it by yourself. Feels like quality!

I like the mattress - it's neat and easy to set up. I"m hoping it will help my back but I don't know yet since it's only been one week since sleeping on it. It was definitely difficult to get upstairs - you need 2 strong people. It feels nice to lay on just hoping it fixes my pain in my back when I sleep. I will continue to try it around 30-60 days and hope to keep it. If my back doesn't feel better though I won't.

The beginning was great, it truly is a comfortable mattress. Unfortunately after a year of use, my side of the bed is not nearly as supportive and all of my back pain is back. With the way the warranty is worded there has to be a 1 inch deep dip in order to qualify for replacement. There is no dip or sag, but the material is definitely weaker on my side of the bed and we are shopping for a new mattress... again... we will not be returning to purple.

Our sales lady, Kaeli, was awesome. She asked us what we wanted and how we sleep and pointed us to the perfect bed. We ordered the 4-inch mattress and we love it. It's comfy, cozy, and we don't wake up aching all over like we did with our old bed. Purple heaven!

Our previous mattress was 16 years old. We were moving to a new house, so it was the perfect time to get rid of the old one and buy something new. We were intrigued by the idea of buying a mattress online and having it delivered directly to us. We chose Purple because of the reviews and their videos explaining the technology. AND WE HAVEN'T BEEN DISAPPOINTED. We've had the mattress for five full months now and love it! No more stiff backs. No more rolling into the cave that had formed in the middle of our old mattress. No more waking each other up when one of us rolls over. The Purple has been a dream come true!
